View of East River, having a large tub and a stand alone shower, convenience to West Village, and having dining and bar options within hotel.
I love the big bath’s with view of the city lights!
Location and ambiance continue to be top notch
The interior needs an upgrade. Also guest of hotel should have no difficulty booking the night club
The view from room
Not too many choice of restaurants in the immediate area.
Location was fabulous, right on the Highline with views across the City and The Empire State Building. The bed was comfortable, the staff (for the most part) were super friendly and helpful. The gym was well equipped and, depending on the time, usually quiet. If you’re asked if you want views of the City or the River, take the River.. you get downtown views AND river views... Much better.
If you want your privacy, this isn’t the place for you. The shower gives you a direct view across your bed, to the city, to the office blocks opposite. I’d suggest you’d have to be ‘in a comfortable place’ with your partner to stay in a room that offers this little privacy. There’s limited room to store your bags/clothes and unfortunately, being a dog friendly hotel (we didn’t know this) you’re always prone to a dog keeping you awake with its constant barking (which I can unfortunately confirm) Last thing, if you go to the bar on the 18th, make sure you’re there for sunset - the views are incredible and the bar staff just as awesome.. save for the guy on the desk outside who wouldn’t let us in because I didn’t have ID (I’m in my 40’s!) and despite drinking in there the night before!
