The concierge
The. Breakfast and the fact that the windows were so filthy we couldn't see outside the window
Location in midtown is excellent
The restaurant is not special and there is no dedicated lounge area
Would have been five stars, but for (A) electrical
Nice size room, very comfortable bed, adequate closet space, fabulous shower, ample comfortable soft towels, jingling chandelier lights in the elevators, breakfast room with coffee & croissants
Noise neighbors - caused us a loss of a solid night's sleep. Would have preferred a coffee maker in the room.
Escaping the winter snowstorm at the Michelangelo
My boyfriend & I arrived separately. So I left a note with front desk reception to ask him to meet me for dinner. When he checked in, it was communicated. We originally had a suite next to the elevators on the 7 floor, but the white decor left me feeling too whitewashed. I requested another suite line on the same floor. Within 10 minutes the change was made and our new suite felt warm and cozy! This is my 2nd stay here & we enjoyed our stay. We'll return here for sure.
I didn't like that Wifi isn't included in our room rate. You have to go to the lobby area in order to get it. Let's face it; that's sucky. It should already be included in your room rate. Also I think the continental breakfast should include more options like eggs, along with the pastries. Maybe even dried salami/ select meats.
A Memorable Stay!
Upon entering the hotel I marveled at the grand chandelier beaming overhead. I felt like I was entering a royal facility! The reception was pleasant and professional, quick to check me in. After unpacking in my room, I asked for a change of room. Due to the surprise of my room facing a wall of another building, scratches on the furniture, low room temp, dark/ not enough light, and low cell phone signal. I called downstairs, and within 5 minutes I was pleasantly upgraded to a 1 Bedroom Suite. Let me say, the Suite life is for me! Yes! My Suite had parque flooring, marble wall and interior. The separate living room had 12 lush red pillows on 2 black striped sofas, complete w mini bar, separate bathroom and a huge mirrored wall. Exquisite! My bedroom was outstanding! 60 inch flat screen TV, golden gilded glass desk, walk in closet and the bathroom had a bidet. Oh what a wonderful experience!
I didn't like that Wifi wasn't already included in the room feature; it was an additional charge of $15 p/day! Ridiculous. They have to change that, it's modern to include Wifi in the Hotel room itself.
staff generally very friendly, rooms really great...staff actively upgraded us. quiet, peaceful; bathrooms nice, clean, friendly, bellmen great, helpful, went out of their way, would clearly come again and recommend to others.
waitress at bar a little off putting. had some difficulty storing bags at checkout....seems that some people did not want them.
We enjoyed our stay the rooms were beautiful and well kept. the staff was exceptional, they paid alot of attention to detail.
the location was perfect for a weekend in New York. The room was spotless. The complimentary breakfast was the icing in the cake.
When we arrived, the front desk staff was so busy talking among themselves that they didn't notice us when we walked up, we had to politely interrupt them.
Ambiance of Europe . Clean and tidy . . All the furnitures were in good shape.
Air conditioning system is old and noisy

Had a great stay at the Michelanglo and would recommend it to anyone. Location was excellent and hotel staff couldnt have been more helpful.
Everything!
Friendly, helpful staff. Well appointed suite. Excellent location.
The temporary breakfasting facility in the hotel lobby. It was too small and too busy. We tried it once and then went to out to eat on the other mornings.
