Center of the world
Loved location. Staff and restaurants.
The Marriott Marquis is literally in the center of Times Square, so you can’t find a better location in midtown. The elevator system is remarkably efficient, and the bars and restaurants are good places to start or end a day.
There were two issues with our stay. First, we had a friend stay on the sofa bed. When he showed that the mattress was in really rough shape, with dark rust stains, we got a “we’ll get around to it” response. The other issue was that we were there for a week. We had come in from the West Coast, so we were still operating on Pacific time. We come back to our room late to find a letter saying that the hot water would be cut off at 10:00am the next morning. Neither issue would keep me from returning, but I did expect a little better customer support from a place charging me thousands of dollars to stay.
Location is great for all the Theatre and Times Square Action. Lounge and bar area good place to get drinks and appetizers.
The ac vent was blowing out strong over the pullout couch. No mini fridge.
The Staff was amazing! The location is perfect.
The room service was not a big hit with the family.
