Using the booking agency was okay... my reservation was not confirmed with the hotel until the day I arrived and after multiple calls to the booking agency. Because my booking was prepaid, using the booking agency, I was not able to take advantage of any of the benefits of being a Hilton Honors Rewards member...that was not cool.

Pros (+) I loved the location and the quality of the rooms and the quality of the service. While its an older property it's in good shape and everything works. Its a great place to base a stay in Monterey

Pros (+) We liked the rooms, the grounds, the staff and the location. And the breakfast was much better than we expected.

Once in our room, we found that the toilet was broken; water ran all night, even after maintenance "fixed" the issue at 11pm. The shower was broken. So no baths for us!
