Great Place to Stay
I loved the location and the quality of the rooms and the quality of the service. While its an older property it's in good shape and everything works. Its a great place to base a stay in Monterey

We liked the rooms, the grounds, the staff and the location. And the breakfast was much better than we expected.
We could hear the people in the next room talking and especially the kids.

Excellent Staff
This is a beautiful hotel with very helpful and courteous staff who made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The beds are heavenly and the little store by the front desk offered food, drink, snacks and toiletries for sale in case you forgot something, the staff at the dining room and event dinner was also very helpful with a special thank you to Marion who provided warm and efficient service to our entire group throughout our stay. ( we were there for a wedding)
