Pros:Nice big room. Easy to work in.
Cons:The breakfast is not really a breakfast and there is no where to eat except your room. Might as well just have coffee and leave it at that. They need to have a laundry!! Very important for a motel.

Pros:Location was great. Within walking distance of "downtown" Monterey. Made it easy for me to walk to grab a bite to eat. Ample parking. Room was spacious. Free WiFi was a nice touch.
Cons:The building and decor were both so dated. The building screams 70s, and the decor was pretty much bad. The rooms were also pretty dark, and the window screens weren't secure, so I couldn't open the window to get fresh air without worrying about letting moths in. The lighting was a weird contrast between incandescent and green LED lights. While I applaud the use of greener light sources, the contrast was harsh on the eyes. My biggest complaint, however, was the visible debris on the bathroom vent/fan. There were thick deposits of grey lint (maybe mold) on the fan. As someone with allergies, it just kind of pissed me off. There were also cobwebs on the bathroom light, which could easily have been sealed off with a cover. WiFi reception was spotty at best.
