Pros: Owners very friendly and breakfast excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean, breakfast was excellent, the living area cosy - and complete with honesty bar (this was much needed having suffered a car breakdown on the way!!) Most of all though Steve and Sally couldn't do enough to help us - even giving us a lift back to our abandoned car! Looking forward to being able to visit again sometime for a more relaxed stay!!
Cons: That we had to leave so soon!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house in large garden. Very tastefully decorated, high spec, smart. Good size room and large bathroom. Spacious guest lounge downstairs with plenty of reading materials and even fruit provided. Very welcoming host. Thoughtful touches eg torches available for going down to village after dark. Lovely breakfast.
Cons: The beds seemed a bit worn in places and maybe needed more turning. The wifi was a bit weak upstairs.

Pros: Lovely hosts made us very welcome. The accomodation was top quality with every need catered for. Such a lot of thought had gone into the design and decor of this hotel, and the views from the bedroom were stunning. The breakfast was top notch, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It was carnival time in the village for an added bonus for my birthday. Looking forward to staying again soon. Thank you.

Pros: Fantastic breakfast. Evening meal if required. Honestly bar. Nothing too much trouble for hosts Steve and Sally
Cons: Very small criticism bath towels could have been bath sheets.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We particularly appreciated the decor and furnishings of the whole building, the attention to detail, such as the instructions for using the various gadgets in the bedroom/bathroom. The "honesty" bar in the residents' lounge was extremely well stocked, the breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented, and another friendly couple who had eaten in for dinner the night before were full of praise for their meal.

Pros: The hosts were lovely! And the lemon drizzle cake and cup of tea/coffee on arrival was a welcome bonus. And breakfast! Well, what can I say other than excellent! So much choice! Cereals, fruit juice, fresh fruit and the usual full English. I understand that most, if not all of the food was locally sourced. How many hosts go to those lengths, not many in my experience! We could also help ourselves to fresh fruit and extra milk from the fridge if we needed it! Something else I've never seen in a B&B! Oh! I forgot! Fresh garden flowers in our room too! All the special little touches from arrival to departure made our two days very special indeed! We've already booked our next stay! Well done Nigel and Paula and thank you for making us so welcome!

Pros: Good quiet location for getting to the places I wanted to visit. Fantastic variety for breakfast which was prepared with loving care. The only problem was choosing what to have; as the menu changed every day this could be difficult but it was lovely to have such a variety to choose from. If this was the only problem of the day it was no real problem at all.
Cons: First impressions of the outside was that it was a bit dreary and needed a bit of an update but inside it was lovely. I had problems getting the wi fi signal from my room I had to stand outside my door in the corridor to get it and hope that nobody thought that I was lurking, my only intent was to get a signal.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel totally exceeded our expectations - the staff were so friendly, the hotel itself was exceptionally clean and the room was outstanding. Breakfast was 1st class and the evening meal, although only a small selection, what was on the menu was absolutely fantastic and well priced. The TV didn't work, only because of the reception - but we actually liked not having the the TV working. Couldn't get a mobile phone signal - which was GREAT - it meant we had no distractions and could completely switch off. The hotel does offer use of a normal landline phone (yes they do still exist) and charged at local rates, not at the normal excessive hotel phone call rates. There is wifi, so you can use other voice apps like skype, whatsapp etc. if you really want to. There was nothing we could say bad about the hotel or area - we will be going back.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really large characterful rooms and excellent breakfast.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and stylish, felt welcoming from the start and throughout the stay. Large room, super king bed with seating. Central position with parking. Absolutely great customer service, nothing was too much trouble - loved it !
Cons: Single glazing (old building) so a lot of traffic noise especially as the traffic lights are outside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely hotel, couldn't fault it. Clean, comfortable, owner and staff very friendly and food excellent too
6.0 Good
Pros: Excellent central location, ample parking, comfortable bedroom, fantastic big bed. Ambience in keeping with village location.
Cons: Windows didn’t close well so room was noisy with traffic sounds (it is a listed building though - so windows can’t be replaced cheaply), our room was above the restaurant speaker so we often heard restaurant jazz music in the room. The hotel sign mounted outside the room squeaked all night in the wind! The water from the cold tap was always warm? The towel rail and radiator controls didn’t seem to work at all? Teacups in the room were tiny - ask for a decent size mug. Restaurant food was average and not worth the money - a handful of pre-bagged leaves by themselves is NOT a salad! A single sad vegetarian sausage does not show much culinary creativity.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Evening meal was enjoyable, relaxed setting, breakfast was excellent.
Cons: The arch brick enterance leading to the hotel car park was so narrow, we were dreading driving back out. It caused a scratch on the wing mirror which now has to be sprayed, the thought of driving backwards and forwards every trip has definitely put us off staying in the future.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I could order what I wanted for breakfast
Cons: I was very very disappointed that I could not order a evening meal on two occasions as I was b&b only. However we did have two excellent meals at another venue. I would rather have spent the £100 with your hotel.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Service and staff were excellent - friendly and helpful . Location was ideal.
Cons: The buildings and the room need updating badly. Clean room but well used and in need of refurbishment. The buildings have windows that need replacing, guttering that needs repair and weeds growing on roofs and corners. The heating was belting away and many rooms had their windows open to calm it down. .
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Acceptable.
Cons: having booked to stay overnight we expected to have a evening meal in the hotel. But were told you were fully booked due to shortage of staff. We met friends intending to have lunch with them but again we were told you were fully booked which was very disappointing especially as our friends live locally and have been dining at your hotel for 25 years.

Pros: Comfy bed, lovely area, stones throw from the castle, easy access to Minehead. Staff/people were friendly.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food, clean comfortable and exceptionally friendly
Cons: Liked everything
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely friendly staff. Attention to detail.
Cons: Separate bathroom.
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff were ALL very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was freshly made everyday and delicious not to mention the home made sausages. If you're not into the traditional full English there was a variety of cereals and fresh fruit available too.
Cons: Bed was a little uncomfy but nothing to worry much about. The only thing I'd say is not good is the lack of parking facilities for customers. This somewhat limits one's movement as once we'd bagged a parking spot outside on the street we elected to leave the car there lest we lost our spot to someone else. Not sure this can be easily rectified given the location of the establishment and the paucity of space in the immediate vicinity.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The unique quirks of the property make the building a pleasure to stay in , very clean , comfortable with friendly, warm landlords.
Cons: Some maintenance required. But after a conversation with the owner, it became apparent that the colossal business rates for the property are In danger of damaging the business. This would affect jobs and access for the likes of us to stay in such a stunning building and village. I hope this issue becomes highlighted. So, this comment needs passing on to the council.
