Security guard had a chip on his shoulder
It was cheap
Dude in a backpack starts banging on the door at 0500. Security guard shows up I said it's a black dude with a backpack and security guard throws a fit bc I used the word black to describe the guy had he been blue I would have used that as my descriptive word, but he was black. As a white guy who sometimes wears a backpack I hope at some point I'm described as a white guy in a backpack✌
parking is expensive
Acquired a lot of bug bites after a night sleep w
Shuttle service is the reason we picked the hotel. The bus didn't come to pick us up. Other hotel shuttle driver came by and asked several times. We were not informed that the name of the bus is not Chelsea. Unfriendly staff.
Love this hotel
This hotel is very nice I loved my room it was so beautifully designed !! Free drinks durning happy hour at the bar in the lobby friendly staff free airport shuttle affordable hotel I would definitely stay here again!
It's in a great place! The price is always right and it's always clean! We've been to a bunch of hotels in south beach that are all Art Deco and not up dated but this hotel has a modern twist and it's just perfect!
Close to the beach, nice rooms!
Our room was really nice, very modern, comfy bed. The free happy hour from 7-8pm was awesome and the bartender was really nice. Overall we had a nice stay.
No free parking, valet was around $30/day.
Great place to stay
Location was nice, they have a 1 complimentary drink every day from 7-8 PM. They accommodated our need for early check in and got us in a room by 12 even though technically it should have been ready only by 3. Overall good experience
Air conditioning is hard to control in the room, it blows way to strong, so you fluctuate between really cold and too warm. Room key is a little wonky to operate.
Personal I likes everything about the hotel
Clean hotel with nice interior design, the staff were pleasant. They offer free airport shuttle and happy hour in lobby bar at 19:00 - 20:00 (with limited complimentary choice). It's located in a good location in south beach.
The rooms were a little small and could use more electrical outlet spots. The WIFI kept disconnecting.
Location was good. Room was pretty clean. Drinks at the bar weren't too expensive.
Only one person at the front desk most of the time. Not all of the people working the front desk were competent. The valet was pretty rude, but they all are in Miami. Cleaning was spotty. A little loud due to the bar next door.
I spent a night with a friend who was visiting from another area.
The $15 additional fee.
Excellent price, close to beach, clean and comfortable room, complimentary drinks for happy hour
While trying to sleep, there were some flying bugs in the room that were trying to bite us. Not sure how they got in the room.
Localization. Nothing else.
Worst hotel experience ever !!! This is rather a music bar than a hotel ! When you pass entrance you are in the bar with very loud music ! What should be a reception is a very small desk in the corner of the bar with one person which often can not help you with anything. On the last day of my stay in the bar started some kind of music event with live dj show - music was so loud there was literally no place in the hotel where you could not hear that. Sleeping was literally impossible ! Of course person at reception desk could not do anything about, could not offer different room and what's best - didn't even new anything about the dj's event !!! The last dj started his show at....5 Am. Don't stay there !!
position, clean, room design
price: 390$ per night
loved the girl from the frontdesk, she is very nice and the team helpfull. Also the hotel was not too fare from the beach and a lot of differents store, restaurant ...
if you go there ask for the shuttle they can pick you up from the airport to the hotel and the same when you leaving, cause its not very easy to find the hotel when you get the 150 bus to go to washington av.
The hotel was really nice. there was nothing that i didnt like about it. it was close to everything. its in the perfect location. The room was exactly how the hotel website said it was going to be like. Beds were really comfortable and the room had everything you could need. Big plasma TV on the wall. A plus point is that there is a safe in the room which is free to use. all the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us. ohh an there were free bath robes to use during our stay which was really nice. We even stayed an extra few days. I would definalty recommend this hotel to my friends visiting Miami and if i were to return i would stay again.
the only bad thing i guess was the wardrobe wasnt very big so you cant really unpack all your things. Nothing else to complain about really. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to families. Mainly for young people.
Ease of access. Good breakfast. Great air conditioning. Great price but the %T^&*() valet parking was reaaaalllly expensive.
The lack of parking.
Decoration of the rooms. The menu
the change in the rates
The room was nicely decorated, the location was so perfect. Everything was right there and did not need a car for anything.
de lounge and the kindness from the hotelstaf
There are few places in America that seem like they exist in a completely different space, but Miami, and specifically, the South Beach section of Miami Beach, are exactly that. Known as the Magic City, Miami is a place that’s today’s crossroads of the world. The Caribbean cultures along with the American ethos have infused Miami Beach with an aura that can’t be found anywhere else in America. Because this is such a special place, staying here requires a special hotel like the Hotel Chelsea.
The hotel goes back to 1936 and is one of the many art-deco gems that dot Ocean Drive. This famous section of South Florida has seen it all, and the retro-style decoration of the hotel is infused with luxury. The rooms are comfortable and the perfect place to relax after experiencing all that Miami Beach has to offer. Whether it is walking up and down Ocean Drive or experiencing the different spots of the city like Calle Ocho, you’ll enjoy the sleeping on these comfortable mattresses.
Miami Beach, and Miami in general has possibly the best food scene in America. In the hotel, El Pescaito offers large portions of traditional Cuban seafood fare. The atmosphere is light and fun, perfectly representing the hotel and its location. There’s no shortage of food options when you leave the Hotel Chelsea and head down South Beach. With many bars and food trucks, there are plenty of options for travelers.
Visiting Miami Beach is something everyone should do. The culture and sights are amazing, and staying in the Hotel Chelsea is an ideal way to see what the locals call The 305.
