The Avalon as a hotel is decent, I don’t have any real complaints but staying in other hotels on ocean drive, this one does leave some things to be desired. The king room we had was pretty ok sized but only really one walls with outlets, no fan in the bathroom and our in room beach chairs were broken ( hotel did replace). Pros (+) It’s located right on Ocean Drive which is where all the action is in Miami Beach. It’s across the street from the ocean, and they play live music every night. Their restaurant is one of the best in the area.

Pros (+) I enjoyed the small quaintness and that the hotel is on ocean beach drive. That's great if your visiting and are ready to grab drinks, food, and hit the beach.
Cons (-) I didn't like that the rooms are smaller, probably because it's an older building.
