10.0 Excellent
Pros: Heaven on earth. Can't say more than that. Perfectly comfortable and luxe and wonderful, with the most amazing breakfasts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was unbelievable! The view was just breathtaking!!! The property was so clean !! So well looked after !!! Is such a beautiful secret place !!! Would definitely go back here ! Can’t recommend it enough and all the staff where so friendly helpful and went above and beyond for us !!! It was a special occasion for us as this was a surprise holiday for my partner for his 30th and I did nothing but email the hotel before we arrived to arrange all the surprises and they were amazing !!! So unbelievably happy with our stay here !!!!
Cons: Nothing we loved everything about it !!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with perfect infinity pool, breathtaking view of the alps. Top servise, great food, big rooms with a balcony next to the view, free parking. I love everything a bout this hotel.
Cons: The wifii was slow and stuck a lot, the stuff was nice, but they need to improve their english. It was very hard for as to Communicate with them. Especially with the waiters. English is an international language, so you need to know it in order to communicate with all guests who come from another country. I personally did not like to break my teeth so the waiter would understand what I wanted. It was oppressive and clouded the experience a bit
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I love foods, services and fantastic views.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spa& view and customer care
Cons: The water could be hotter in the swimingpool
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is perched high over Merano with spectacular views, perhaps the most stunning of any hotel I’ve visited. The spa and pool are beyond wonderful, and the food is excellent. I also appreciated that there was access to hiking trails immediately behind the hotel. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and have a lovely deck with killer views. Also, I’d be thrilled to have that bathroom at home — gorgeous!
Cons: The one thing I found odd was that guests in the suites had the tables with the most stunning views reserved for them. I know the suites are more pricey, but perhaps offer them en-suite breakfast options. It was very uncomfortable when I sat down unknowingly at one of those tables — I felt like I mistakenly boarded first class when I was assigned to coach. Also, the refrigerator in my room was broken and I told the woman at the front desk. She never followed up on whether there was a possibility of fixing it. I believe I rubbed her the wrong way, as I had more than the usual number of questions, and she became much less friendly after I mistakenly sat in the “suite section” for breakfast. Otherwise, it was an incredible stay!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect vacation. We felt bad to leave.
Cons: The food. Breakfast was poor (no vegetables) and restaurant was too expensive (. Relatively to the amount of food servied)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very sparse and elegant. Although not a large hotel, there were three elegant and intimate dining rooms, two with views of the alps! Food and wine outstanding.
Cons: Path to the rather marginal hot tub was muddy. "Relax rooms" were cold, and though the quiet was nice, it was a bit unfriendly.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: The rooms were quite warm at night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredible place with superb view to Dolomites and Meran. Staff kindly arranged my special request, fantastic! Greets and many thanks to eveyone involved! We'll definetely come back again.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent view, very tidy and clean, super friendly and helpful hosts, nice pool, fridge with beer and wine in basement with 24h access, enough parking space, close to Meran and Schenna
7.9 Good
Pros: The breakfast is awesome, and the English speaking staff is great. The swimming pool was just the ticket after a long hot day of cycling, and the garden is good to spend time in. This would be a great hotel for someone who's touring by car.
Cons: The location is very far out of the way from Merano city center, and there's basically nothing within walking distance. Even the closest restaurant is 15 minutes down the hill and 25 minutes up the hill. Getting to the hotel was painful on a bike from Merano, so I wouldn't recommend this place for cyclists.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect place to start off our holiday - we loved the view of mountains and vineyards from the room and relaxing in the garden and pool. It's only a short walk into town, breakfast was wonderful, and there was plenty of room to park as well. Thank you very much for making our anniversary special! We had a great stay and hope to come back again!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Willy @ the front desk was exceptionally kind and attentive. Hotel was clean as you would expect in Alto Adige.
Cons: Disappointment when not all customers turn out to be Germans means that most staff are cold and distant as intercultural skills are lacking.. Basic items like tea/coffee/milk were not available in the room. Experience with SPA team was mixed ads every question on the phone at time of booking an appointment was answered too abruptly but then the actual massages were performed flawlessly.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Need to have a in door fridge with more than just water. Also room service needs to be available during the day.
6.3 Good
Pros: thermal pools . It's better to hang a Bone when swimming. Because it was very crowded.
Cons: We went to hotel at 22.00 because of our flight delay and 300 km from Venice. Even though it was a very early hour for the restaurant, they said that the dinner ended at 2100. They sent us a plate of cake, a plate of fruit and a cheese plate instead of dinner. and we paid for tea.And we didnt eat nothing. We were very tired, but the lady who did the check-in at reception was friendly and helpful name İMMA. In the morning I called the reception to ask what time the hot springs would be opened mr.lorenzo asked quite roughly at what time we gonna leave the room? Mr.Lorenzos speech style, discourteousness has upset us. Since we are "luxury leading hotel members" we always stay in 5 star hotels all over the world. We never saw such a staff like this person. He's not a right person to work at the reception. He is a rude person who doesn't know how to behave and how to treat a guest who has just arrived in the hotel and into town. We got the new room on the second day. This time they confirmed to us that we could eat dinner at the hotel. We thought that its because the hotel's restaurant closed early yesterday and they want to make a favor to us. But we were wrong. We went out and the resepsion phone us immeaditely from the hotel and said that the meal was not included and we had to pay to eat at the hotel. She said it several times on the phone. Everything in this hotel is based on money. Staff is very amateur. Second to me, Nice Hotel mean , nice staff, professional staff. The first service starts at the reception. The hotel is good but the staff is very rude to the tourists. We came to this hotel and paid 823 euro per 2 days. But we werent happy.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Level of service
9.6 Excellent
Pros: What to say ... everything is (almost) perfect! Special mention for the Roof-Spa/Pool area and the friendliness of the personnel.
Cons: Very small organisational hick-ups in the restaurant, but hardly worth mentioning. Perhaps the check-out day Spa use is a bit expensive (EUR 25/person).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: sky garden and infinity pool and Alfred in that area was excellent
Cons: that the waiter in the pizza bistro of the hotel refused to let us put the bill on the room, he insisted we pay cash
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic facilities, great breakfast, very good pools. What we appreciated the most is that the hotel had a very helpful and Russian-speaking waitress at the restaurant - Veronika - and she was very helpful to my parents after I had left the hotel and they stayed for a couple of more days. She really made their stay enjoyable and terrific! We'll be back for sure.
Cons: - Everything was great.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The pools, the pools, the pools :)))))))) Breakfast was excellent. The dinner is amazing !!! Location is excellent. Parking is free.
Cons: Everything was excellent only in the rooms in an old fashioned design and also the hallways to the rooms on the floors.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: High standard, very big clean and straight hotel.
Cons: The German invasion was not exactly what you should expect in classy Italy.

Pros: This location in South Tyrol is lovely. The scenery is spectacular and the wine route is wonderful. The accommodation was very nice. Our apartment was large and well equipped. The view from the room was lovely. The hosts we very helpful in assisting with some telephone issues. They allowed me to use their phone at no charge to make a long distance call. Much appreciated.

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. You can feel that the owner is involved. Wonderful hiking opportunities as long as you enjoy the up and downs of a the mountains . The food is great and the owners help with hiking ideas. For longer stays a car would be helpful.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic view, Great service, Wonderful room! Hotel offered welcome drink and snacks when we arrived, and invited us to taste their roasted chestnuts in the garden. The room we booked is a suite on the 3rd floor which has 2 balcony, one facing the entrance, the other facing vineyard/apple grove and can see partial of the pool and the view of the valley. The breakfast is nice, and highly recommend to have it outside if weather allows. Plenty choices of fruits are served and you can also get the apple juice made local. The day we leave, hotel cleaned the front window of our car in advance and gave us a small dish with hotel logo as gift. We had to tell the truth that we would really like to stay much longer if we could. We will definitely be back, very soon!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Magnificent location and really great staff very nice grounds free use of electric bikes lovely building. This is a great hotel and does actually look like the online photo’s. Would definitely recommend it.
Cons: Would be nice to have an alternative to fine dining every night. Wine is expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, nice view, cozy room, delicious breakfast, lovely spa and treatments.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was a beautiful hotel with very comfortable rooms, in lovely surroundings (with stunning views of the Dolomites), and the service was impeccable. It has an amazing breakfast (quality of produce, variety, etc.); the a la carte items (e.g., poached eggs, crepes) were utterly delicious. We also ate there for dinner a couple times; the menus change daily and have interesting farm-to-table creations. Even though a couple of the dishes didn't completely work flavor-wise, we enjoyed our meals there overall (it is, afterall, a one michelin-star restaurant!) Overall, it lived up to the quality and service standards one has come to expect of a Relais & Chateaux.
Cons: It is perched quite high up in the mountains and we didn't happen to have a car, so getting to town and back every day required a 25 Euro taxi ride (each way) through windy roads. It's not hard to get a taxi at all, but just something to be mindful of. Most of the other guests there have a car, so imagine it is not an issue for them.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Castel Fragburg excludes old world charm. Staff are well trained. The setting high above Merano is spectacular. The narrow road up however is a little hair raising for those not used to driving on narrow winding ones. The dining room and terraces are wonderful with attention to detail. The water jug at breakfast filled with edelweiss The gardens are beautifully maintained. Our room was tiny ( get what you pay for) with a wonderful valley view. Could have had more comfortable sofas to sit on in the room but would probably take up valuable space.
Cons: The dinner service is old world charm. The hotel restaurant has a great reputation however, in my humble opinion the service flair, pomp and setting greatly out weigh the food which I felt was very overpriced in terms of serving size and often contents of the plate. One of my dishes was asparagus - tiny thin stalk, perhaps 3 tablespoons of food. 20 e
9.2 Excellent
Pros: location and rooms
Cons: staff is good but was better a year ago. food is about equal to the last chef but with less variety and almost no appreciation of fresh vegetables.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, fantastic restaurant, junior suite with scenic view!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is amazing - helpful, attentive, kind. The rooms are unique and beautifully decorated and the views are amazing. We had wonderful massages in the spa, which was just as delightful as the rest of the hotel. We ate dinner one night in the restaurant and the food was delicious. The restaurant also had an extensive wine list.
Cons: nothing

Pros: Very nice staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was wonderful - a fabulous hotel in a beautiful town in the mountains. The owners could not have been more helpful and gave us very useful advice on things to see, best places to park etc which made a great difference to the quality of our stay. It was great to have our own kitchenette and balcony as the breakfasts were quite expensive (though no doubt excellent). It was very hot when we stayed so a fan in the room would have been a nice touch. But this a small point. Overall - highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful garden with a playground and a trampoline - our 2-years-old daughter was beyond happy. Breakfast was the best one I had in years, with excellent fresh croissants, a selection of artisan cheeses and breads, Italian starters, eggs, cereals, yoghurts and so on - definitely worth its price! Oh, and a great selection of teas. Finally, we had a nice spacious room with a comfortable bed. We shall definitely come back!
Cons: Coffee machine was an office one, and so the coffee was so-so.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mr and Ms Prunner were really nice to us. The hotel is nicely decorated, the breakfast is delicious and bio =). To reach the city center is only like 8 min walk in a nice area. Cons: Nothing

Staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The pool area makes you feel like you found paradise. Breakfast was full of the best ingredients, including homemade cakes. I really cannot recommend this Hotel enough - I will definitely be back!!

Pros: Breakfast was amazing with home-made cakes and a wide selection of special cheese and fruits. The room was really nice. The owner was beyond helpful and really friendly. Parking with a motorbike is easy and safe. Although the hotel is not in the center, the bus stop (runs every 15 min) is at the end of the street and walking to the Castle Garden or the center was not a problem either. I highly recommend this place.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The 5-course dinner offered each night was super. I can't imagine a better value anywhere. The Hotel Manager, Florian, was very knowledgable about the area, as he grew-up and has lived most of his life in the South Tirol, well-organized, and very helpful. The staff were at least tri-lingual (German, Italian, and English), and all went out of their way to be personable and helpful. We visited during the South Tirol (Music) Festival in late August-early September, and had the opportunity to hear some great musicians, including the Budapest Festival Orchestra.
Cons: We only wish we could have stayed longed at the Hotel Bavaria and in Meran.

Pros: Great location.. friendly staff
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is in a wonderful location, just across the river from the town centre, and the facilities it provides and the friendly welcoming staff are all excellent. I enjoyed the mountain view room at the front of the hotel; the occasional traffic noise is mostly drowned out by the sound of the fast flowing river, which to me was a plus, and at night with the shutters down and double glazed windows closed it was very quiet. The bed was extremely comfy, and the room was very well equipped indeed (except perhaps for tea/coffee making facilities, which of course is a British/American thing and rarely found in Europe). They looked after me very well; as a pet owner we could eat breakfast on the covered terrace right outside the restaurant, and the hotel leaflet says that dogs are allowed in the garden on leads, although we didn't try this. I thought €10 per night for the dog was reasonable. The town is an excellent base for exploring the mountains all around, and all the buses we needed stopped very near the hotel. And there were wonderful riverside pedestrianised walks starting from right outside the front door. I very much hope we'll be able to visit this wonderful hotel again in the future.
Cons: It didn't affect me as we came by train, but the parking out the front was very popular and I wouldn't have wanted to be the last person back of an evening. Merano is wonderfully pedestrian and cycling-friendly and not a great place to bring a car in any case. The hotel caters mainly for a wealthy German clientele (as does the town), and some might find the evening dining experience perhaps a little stuffy; however there is a huge choice of places to eat within a short distance from the hotel.
