Had a flat without a spare tire in the vehicle. Hertz’s interactive voice response system made it very difficult to get assistance … it needs to be re-worked! Took over 5 hours to get back on the road.

Cons: I got a flat tire on the highway 15 min after picking up the car and none of the hertz assistance numbers would allow me to speak with a human. It took friends of mine calling in their native language to light a fire to actually send help. Hertz is happy to charge me for that though.

Very Professional from start to finish
Pros: unfortunately our flight from Amsterdam to Nice was cancelled and we were directed to Nice, having felt concerned we wouldn't be able to pick a car up from Nice, we were apprehensive but were dealt with excellently from the receptionist to the handover guy, we were aware there would be insurance costs on top of the hire, so there were no surprises. The Twingo served us well as we travelled along the French Riviera. We would definitely return to enterprise for our next hire

We picked up a car in Marseille and dropped it off in Nice. At both locations the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We also got an unexpected upgrade and the whole process was very smooth. We will definitely use Sixt again next time we are in France.

The car was dirty, it has been rattling my whole trip so it’s very noisy and when I went an hour out of my way to try to exchange it they would not help me and told me to call the 800 number which was in French and didn’t recognize my booking code. Very frustrating. Will never use them again as I paid a lot of money and got a lesser car then was promised.

Although the car was a big one, and of a well known brand (BMW), we found it difficult to get in to and out of, compared to our own small Japanese cars (Mazda, Toyota or Honda). Trying to squeeze 5 passengers (including the driver) was also uncomfortable. Besides, the built-in GPS system was complicated to operate. The BMW roadside service was helpful in that regard, however.

Seamless checking process and the car itself drove like a dream. Drop off was also super easy, I just left the keys on the counter and didn’t have to wait.

The process of reporting existing scratches on the car was rubbish and needs to be improved. Also was not able to amend my booking easily which was irritating.

Cons: The organization. The car broke down and I lost 7 hours of the trip because of the team's bad organization in picking up the car and picking me up. I would like to have my money back.

Worst car rental agency I’ve encounter.
Cons: They were unable to provide me with a car. And there is no way to contact them to get refunded, no one ever answers the phone or the chat is always « unavailable at this time » Worst car rental company I’ve dealt with so far. I strongly discourage anyone to use them.

Agent at the rental office was not willing to help or find solutions to assist us. Because we made the reservation through a car rental website and not directly she seemed annoyed and looking for reasons not to honour it. Very poor customer experience.

Nice car in Marseilles
Pros: 1. We appreciated being able to rent at one facility and drop off after hours at another nearby site. 2. The quality of the car. 3. The value for the money.
Cons: 1. The person where we rented was not as pleasant as at other Europcar sites we visited. 2. The drop off was not clearly indicated other than it was at the nearby train station, although once we got to the station it was easy to see where it was. 3. There are no gas stations to fill up that we could find near to the drop off.

the car was refused to me at the time of pick up . the american express card , which i used to make the reservation with no problem , was refused at the time of pick up , to make the deposit . i left without any car and i was stuck at the Gare Saint Charles in Marseille . I could not go to my hotel, located far from the center of town ,without a car , and i had to take another hotel at the Gare Saint Charles . this was a real mess.
