The bed was outstandingly comfortable, had a lovely nights sleep there. Also the toiletries provided are very luxurious and I like that they aren’t leaving individual plastic bottles for each guest, instead opting for large refillable bottles on the wall. Being able to check out at midday is a lovely luxury too. The bar was a lovely spot to watch the port in the evening. The barman was very friendly. I did think the drinks were expensive, I live in London and am used to paying ridiculous prices but these were a little excessive. The breakfast is lovely, a wide variety of breads, pastries, fruits, cereals, etc. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. However, I do not think it is worth €25 per person - you could eat a lot cheaper in a local cafe/bakery.
Some of the decor looked a little tired. Providing disposable slippers is not environmentally sound, neither is the shower cap/shoe shine extras.
Breakfast OK but would have liked more choice of hot food. Location excellent
A minor point but the bathroom door in the second room we stayed wouldn't close properly. The bathrooms are starting to look a little tired.
Location, view from the room, room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful
the breakfast is excellent & provides for all dietary needs. Our room had a view of the old port & we enjoyed sitting & watching the world go by! Highly recommend!
Hotel is looking tired but it’s part of the atmosphere....
I upgraded to a room with Old Port view - it was fantastic idea and totally worth the money.
