Pros: The services.
Cons: the rate is too high.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: Location and the place is more descent hotel around
Cons: Most staff is very good, but the staff when we arrived is not helpful. When we arrived and I got out of the car with bags in my hand the first staff I saw did not even greeted me but when my husband came he took his bag and said hello. Is that discrimination or what? What is the difference? Have to teach your staff about that.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast. The staff were always willing to help. My massage and facial were great
Cons: Doors not always easy to open or close. The bill was almost tripled at the end. Had booked through booking.com. None of the extra charges were ever disdicussed.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: the room was spacious with a nostalgic river view. great breakfast plenty of choices. rooftop swimming pool so tempting soaking under sun giving a therapeutic feeling.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Deliciously cooked eggs at breakfast which we ate while overlooking the river. Service was excellent, with waiters giving a balance of attentiveness and time for privacy. I was often greeted by name by the helpful staff. Our room was beautifully scented - would like to know what the name of the scent was! Bike hire really added to our stay and first hour was complimentary.
Cons: Towels were distinctly lacking at the pool. I would love hotels to promote refilling water bottles and this wasn't happening. Please try to do this Casa Del Rio.

5.8 Okay
Pros: The location was great!
Cons: There were lots of different reception staff most of which were indifferent to the point of rude. We were not told of any details when we checked in and were not given a towel-we felt quite uncomfortable. It is a shame as we briefly met Ringo who seemed lovely and another staff member was also helpful but it did not set a good tone from arrival. Breakfast was also very small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really enjoy my stay at Ringo's Foyer. The host, Howard makes an effort to introduce everyone staying there and there is a bike tour by them that is quite worthy.
Cons: Nil

Pros: It was but a capsule hotel, but it was nice and clean - and i just had the feeling of "being comfortable", which i think is not easy for a hotel to create. Good atmosphere.
Cons: Equipment can be upgraded, although it's already good enough
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice staff, good location, nice breakfast, cheap beer and nice rooftopbar/chill areas
Cons: Bedsheets not clean, dirty bathrooms
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A bright, friendly hostel with staff who are wonderful. Howard makes you feel at home. Special shoutout to Eugene who makes you immediately feel like you’re among friends. The atmosphere is great and there is plenty to do/advice given. Also centrally located. Main dorm is modern with big lockers, other dorms were a little older. Had an AC issue but this was solved straight away, no fuss.

Hotel Da Som Inn - Malacca - Bedroom
10
8.5 Excellent (240 reviews)
Overview Reviews
We are an art speciality boutique hotel at the centre of UNESCO’s world cultural heritage site. Strategically located at No. 28 Jalan Tukang Emas (Goldsmith Street) aka Harmony Street, Malacca, Malaysia. To truly reflect its harmony status, it is a diversified place of various settlements -Indian settlement (234 years old Sri Poyyatha Vinayagar Moorthi temple (1781), Malay settlement (267 years old Kampung Kling mosque (1748) and Chinese settlement (370 years old Cheng Hoon Teng temple (1645) on the same street within 1 to 2 minutes walking distance. Not to leave out the European settlement nearby (504 Years A Famosa Fortress (1511), Christ Church (1753), Stadthuys (1650). Our hotel is an old but well maintained building within the Dutch Settlement area (trace back to year 1611) with unique 200 feet long, thick wall and underground sewerage pipes. It has witnessed the history of Malacca Empire and the modern world. Although it has been refurbished, renovated and re-renovated, yet and surprisingly, it was a lovely home, a trade centre, a factory before it was turned into a hotel. Built with 3 air well areas, you can enjoy any of the hotel rooms (with windows) which are air conditioned and fan equipped. Comfortable duvet, pillows and bed will embrace you upon your check in. Free wifi is also available. A variety of breakfast will be served on each different day while American breakfast is always available upon request. 24 hours 7 days a week of free flow of coffee, tea, RO water, milk, juice, cereals and biscuits are ready to serve you at anytime even at midnight or in the wee hours. Outside the hotel, you will see a different world of modern marvel with delicious nyonya and local food such as cendol or durian puff at famous Jonker Street aka Chinatown (next to Harmony street) and world of ancient art with museums and art galleries at Heeren Street (next to Jonker street). Let’s also enjoy the thrill of visiting the old A Famosa fortress, Stadthuys, ruins of St Paul’s church (1521), Queen Elizeberth fountain or enjoy and stop by at modern Hard Rock Café or the Geographer Café for a drink. All within 5 minutes walking distance from this strategically located hotel. So....Let’s relax and enjoy, refresh and replenish!

5.0 Okay
Pros: The river view at room, that's why I booked.
Cons: The river room I booked is at 3rd floor. It's hard and tired to carry heavy suitcase to the 3rd floor. Moreover, the staircase is small with narrow stairway, need to paying attention to avoid falling down. There is not shared bathroom at 3rd floor, have to go down to the 2nd floor for using it. it's troublesome. The drinking water is at 1st floor, it's troublesome too. The reception was not opened when I show up. wait for some times until her came. she even gave me the wrong change when I paid the room rent. Waste my time to saw her calculate the money I given again and again. Her English is not good, hard to be communicated. The curtain is transparent , not enough privacy in the room. the table light is broken, everything is just not meet my needs.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The interior of the hostel :). Breakfast is tasty. The easy access to riverside. New good friends.
Cons: As stated in the bookings, bike is provided according to avaibility, so i texted the staff whether theres a bike. I was told i cn use this 1 small bike. On the next day i asked another staff, she says she's gonna use the bike. I'm expecting the bike is given to the guests, not being conquered by the staff :).
