9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, great view of Kg Morten, secure parking. Welcome tea and daily kueh was a good suprise.
Cons: Amenities like shower gel, toothbrushes, etc are low quality (which the same are provided by hotel owner in their other 3-4 star hotel chains). For their standard and star rating, I wished they had variety of coffee / tea available in the room.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel is an excellent boutique hotel. If we ever plan a trip back to Melaka, another stay here is a valid reason.
Cons: The location is a little far off and not much nearby. Otherwise, it would have been almost perfect.

Very comfortable room, the spa is good, plenty of good eateries within a short walk if you don't want to eat the brilliant food in the hotel restaurant. Bradley is a great mix of cooked to order food and buffet. The hotel had the feel of somewhere comforting, welcoming, cosy and yet also classy.
Cons: It's a bit overwhelmed by the towering buildings nearby and a little far away from the central touristy area

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Easy access to Malacca places of attraction since hotel located at Banda Hilir. It only take like 5 to 15 minute travelling by car depending on location. Hotel is super clean and the reception staff by the name Cass is so friendly and very helpful. If this your 1st time at Malacca she definitely can give you good advise. Other staff as well very warm and make you feel welcomed. It worth the stay here.
Cons: Limited parking space. Hotel opposite and beside 2 school so if you are travelling during school days please observe your time it can be quite jammed during this hour as some parents just park infront hotel while waiting for children. There is no breakfast provided at the moment so you need to look for breakfast but shouldn't be problem as area surrounding with good food places.

Pros: Convenient place, walking distance from major malls. Staff were very friendly and helpful!! (thumbs up for the extra mile to get our request!) Room was spacious, and the apartment has 2 toilets (usually 1 apartment with 2 rooms comes with only 1 toilet and we have to take turns). Overall a good experience.
Cons: The floor was not swept clean as we can feel some particles when we walk around the room.

With a stay at Ringo's Foyer Guest House - Hostel in Malacca City, you'll be just steps from Jonker Street Night Market and 13 minutes by foot from St Paul's Church. Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and a library.
7.5 Good
Pros: Cheap beer

8.3 Excellent
Pros: It's a great hostel with sleeping boxes, extremely friendly owner, beautiful rooftop and great breakfast! It's also easy to socialize in case you travel alone. Thumbs up, I hope I can come back one day ;)
Cons: There is nothing I didn't like.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owner is goes out of his way to connect all people in his hostel. It is a very sociable hostel but with a chilled vibe. Bed have curtains, so amazing for privacy.
Cons: The only minor thing is that they started cleaning between 9 and 10 am, if you wanna sleep in or stay longer in bed.
6.3 Good
Pros: Breakfast included, and it was good. The vibe at the hostel is really cool, and is easy to make new friends in the rooftop. They do bike tour every day at 6.15pm, we visit the floating mosque at sunset time (beautiful). Party hostel with few volunteers living in, but not noisy at all.
Cons: They should wash the blankets, all of them were stinky. Mattress is worst than sleeping in the floor, probably had 25 or more years.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Rooftop and fresh air
Cons: The owner made some of us very uncomfortable with his constant extraction of background and country information. All day long. It really got overwhelming. While he was showing the dorm to 2 guys, he suddenly asked a European guy where he was from and what his name was. It was startling for him that he had to let out "that was weird". The owner guy really needs to tone it down a notch. His excessive style/personality reaches to a point of a invasion of privacy. Not every person wants to share their names or origins with random people ALL.DAY.LONG.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The armosphere of the entire place is really charming and the location is perfect! Nice facilities, ok wifi
Cons: The mattress and the pillow were really old and hard, the bathrooms were a bit dirty and the AC control in the room was a bjt weird. Other than that, it is great value for the money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great! Very well run by Howard and the volunteers, Carolina, Ryan, Claire, Lara, Eugene, Matt and others (sorry if I didn’t name you but you were all fabulous) were so welcoming and lots of fun too! Special place in Malacca! Wouldn’t solo travel anywhere else!

Pros: The staff helpful
Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like

Pros: So happy to know the hotel has special package for room staying and ticket of Encore Malacca.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The bathroom especially bathtub.
Cons: Iron and ironing board need to return back after one hour used and need to share with other rooms because your staff said not enough. It’s so embarrassing.
6.3 Good
Pros: We were offered an upgrade from a superior king room at a higher price, which we accepted upon our arrival. The upgraded room was at the 25th floor facing the Melaka River. We chose the hotel to enjoy the walks along the banks of the river both upstream and downstream until Jonker Street area. We knew before hand that the hotel vicinity lacks the other tourists attractions and amenities.
Cons: No housing keeping done at all. Also, the upgraded room so-called "English tea set", promoted by the staff to persuade us to upgrade was totally non-existent, no staff present at all. Upon checking out, the additional charges for the upgraded room was waived but no explanation or apology was given for the omissions.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly, helpful, esp over the reception. Room neatly made. Breakfast beyond satisfactory. Will definitely come again.

Overview Reviews
We are an art speciality boutique hotel at the centre of UNESCO’s world cultural heritage site. Strategically located at No. 28 Jalan Tukang Emas (Goldsmith Street) aka Harmony Street, Malacca, Malaysia. To truly reflect its harmony status, it is a diversified place of various settlements -Indian settlement (234 years old Sri Poyyatha Vinayagar Moorthi temple (1781), Malay settlement (267 years old Kampung Kling mosque (1748) and Chinese settlement (370 years old Cheng Hoon Teng temple (1645) on the same street within 1 to 2 minutes walking distance. Not to leave out the European settlement nearby (504 Years A Famosa Fortress (1511), Christ Church (1753), Stadthuys (1650). Our hotel is an old but well maintained building within the Dutch Settlement area (trace back to year 1611) with unique 200 feet long, thick wall and underground sewerage pipes. It has witnessed the history of Malacca Empire and the modern world. Although it has been refurbished, renovated and re-renovated, yet and surprisingly, it was a lovely home, a trade centre, a factory before it was turned into a hotel. Built with 3 air well areas, you can enjoy any of the hotel rooms (with windows) which are air conditioned and fan equipped. Comfortable duvet, pillows and bed will embrace you upon your check in. Free wifi is also available. A variety of breakfast will be served on each different day while American breakfast is always available upon request. 24 hours 7 days a week of free flow of coffee, tea, RO water, milk, juice, cereals and biscuits are ready to serve you at anytime even at midnight or in the wee hours. Outside the hotel, you will see a different world of modern marvel with delicious nyonya and local food such as cendol or durian puff at famous Jonker Street aka Chinatown (next to Harmony street) and world of ancient art with museums and art galleries at Heeren Street (next to Jonker street). Let’s also enjoy the thrill of visiting the old A Famosa fortress, Stadthuys, ruins of St Paul’s church (1521), Queen Elizeberth fountain or enjoy and stop by at modern Hard Rock Café or the Geographer Café for a drink. All within 5 minutes walking distance from this strategically located hotel. So....Let’s relax and enjoy, refresh and replenish!

3.3 Mediocre
Cons: I paid for Executive Suite and this is my experience. Staff was utterly rude. I checked in at 258pm (check in time was 3pm) and she told me I was early. I did not mind waiting a little bit, but they kept me waiting for 40minutes because housekeeping wasn’t done (many other customers faced the same waiting game as I did) and staffs responded in a very rude manner when I asked about my room during the wait (I believe her name was Emma). No single apology was said. The suite was filthy dirty. The tables in the suite was oily with food from previous people who stayed. There were plastics on the shower floor. The sink clogged, called Housekeeping and they came to “repair” but it was still clogged after they left. Requested laundry bag from Housekeeping but waited 2 hours and nobody came! Location is noisy with Chinese classic songs playing until after midnight from surrounding shops.
