Location. Views
Shared toilet was rubbish. toilet seat wouldn't stay up and was balanced on your back whilst sitting. Room was beyond basic. camp beds squeezed in to a small space. Rough and ready. Stayed with group of lads so not too bad. I would not stay with my partner.

Excellent location - within easy walking distance from the train station and the city centre. The room was small but clean and had everything I needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Though I stayed on hot summer days, the room was relatively cool and could sleep well! Bonus points for the bar with a nice terrace and its green surroundings.
You can hear people in the room next door (their conversations, ringtones, etc.) and people walking up and down the corridor. If you're sensitive to sounds, I'd recommend bringing a pair of earplugs.

Staff are nice and the location is good.
No air conditioning in room so it got very hot. Especially when I stayed in Maastricht over a hot sunny weekend. Room was also placed above a kitchen air vent so whilst the small window was open it resulted in hearing a noisy air vent which only gets switched off late into the night and switched on early each morning.
