10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed at this absolutely stunning boutique bed and breakfast with friends and enjoyed a fabulous stay - our only disappointment was that we only stayed for one night. Carmen, the owner, and Ellie (staff) were so polite and helpful, allowing us to drop off our luggage early and gave us hints and tips on places to visit and recommendations on where to eat and drink. Both our rooms were immaculate, with some lovely touches and both enjoyed stunning views. We would not hesitate to stay here again and would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone wishing to visit Girona.
Cons: No Negatives
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The views from the pool area are beautiful and it was so relaxing to spend time there. We loved the idea of breakfast hampers every morning. The property is a ten minute walk into the Old Town where we enjoyed wandering in the evenings. We had an amazing time at Montjuic B&B-thank you, Carmen.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A great peaceful location with super-friendly staff. Very helpful, full of advice. Friendly to cyclists ;-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is great. The property owner is very friendly and gave us a lot of tips about Girona and other site seeing nearby. The view out of the house and room terrace is super nice. You can see many stars in the night. It’s very quiet and we had a very nice stay here. Bath room is modern and clean. Bed is comfortable. There is a short cut to go down to the old town. Quite convenient.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place si perfect, very quietly with a awesome view Relax Time at the pool was very nice All the details everywhere inside and outside The staff and director are very nice and kindness
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is very quiet, as are the rooms themselves. Lovely building with a nice garden to relax in. Just a short walk from the old town, but be aware that there are many steps involved on this route! We would definitely choose this accommodation again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room (junior suite deluxe) was fantastic with a great bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean and the whole place was beautifully decorated and stylish. We had a lovely big balcony with breathtaking views over Girona and the mountains. Our host was very friendly and the breakfasts were just lovely (loved the picnic style). We made use of the fantastic pool area and enjoyed the picturesque walk down the steps to Girona centre. Recommend getting the bus or a taxi back! Our whole stay was perfect and we really didn’t want to leave! Got to be one of the best places i’ve ever stayed.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location The views The breakfast Carmen’s hospitality and thoughtfullness
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a gem of a hotel with amazing views and hosting to match. We had breakfast on the terrace which was a special treat with everything we could have wanted.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about this place, perfect for a few relaxing days away, it's an absolute gem. Carmen is so wonderful and can't do enough for you. We had the smallest room in the house but it was still really lovely. The pool is great, hot tub an added bonus and the views were stunning. It was our first trip to Girona and we fell in love with the place. Just be aware, it is a lovely walk into the old town but it is very hilly on the way back up
Cons: Just a tip, book directly on their website for 241 offer on the breakfast!
AS Palau dels Alemanys - Girona - Bedroom
2
9.4 Excellent (115 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at this apartment, you'll be centrally located in Girona, within a 5-minute walk of Girona Cathedral and Girona's Museum of Art. Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic host and location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: AS Palau dels Alemanys is a stunningly beautiful inn in the heart of Girona’s historic old town, so you can walk to all of the historic sites from the hotel. Our room was quiet and beautiful. The hotel is clean and well maintained and we were very pleasantly greeted upon arrival.
Cons: If you are driving, finding the hotel is rather difficult, as the roads in the historic district are narrow and often times one-way. I think the hotel owner needs to provide better (very specific) instructions for finding the place. Perhaps they should send a map with a path drawn on it to show you how to get into the old town and where to park. We drove around 45 minutes before we finally figured it out. Google Maps went bonkers when we tried to use it to find our way. We finally parked in a public lot near the University of Girona and walked from there to the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was so beautiful, located in a heritage site in the old town. The room was gorgeous; tastefully decorated, so huge and the lift to room addition made it feel like a penthouse. There was an honesty bar available downstairs which was a nice touch to open a bottle of local cava in the lovely space. Eric was so friendly and helpful on both check-in and check out. If you have a chance to visit Gerona, you must stay at this special place.
Cons: Not a thing.
7.1 Good
Pros: The host was very kind and helpful and location was perfect.
Cons: The apartment didn't meet our expactation though it is roomy it has to be more comfortable especially the bathroom. The host also should provide a map where you can find his house easier without circling around through very narrow alley. But we called him and he was very helpful and picked us up. Thank you for that.
5.4 Okay
Pros: location was great. Staff (owner) friendly and helpful in the beginning.
Cons: Was misrepresented on your site, made it look like we'd get something we did not, that there was a terrace which there is no access. Very expensive and thought all the pictures were what we would get but instead just got one room of three, this was not clear upon booking. Also owner promised something three times but never delivered.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location, view
10.0 Excellent
Pros: So glad we picked this unique and beautiful place to stay. Eric is a wonderful host and knows so much about the history. Every place we stayed after AS Palau dels Alemanys seemed so boring in comparison. After long days of walking it was so nice to relax with a nice glass of wine in the courtyard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the convenient location, the size of our apartment, the decor was outstanding and the view amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the place was super quiet. The host Eric is very friendly, and speaks English. He recommended great places to eat and delivered a nice breakfast to our door in the morning. We will stay here again when we return.
Cons: The only downside might be the distance to walk your luggage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully unique heritage restoration - we loved that our room was an entire floor! You could enter straight from the lift, like a private historical penthouse ;) Plenty of natural sunshine, fantastic location (quiet & peaceful), kind and welcoming host. Incredibly comfortable, warm and inviting - hard to leave!
Cons: Other guests using the staircase can look directly into your living area if you leave the blinds open - but generally everyone uses the lifts so it's a rare occurrence to be accidentally seen
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous room, spacious, great location in old town.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was wonderful. Wish I could have stayed longer.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Staff were helpful and very attentive
Cons: Property was disappointing on the whole. Bathroom basic, room cleaning average to poor, photos of the property and size were deceiving. In summary not good value for money

Cons: The bathroom was not cleaned properly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The fresh flowers and bottle of cava on ice upon arrival, the decor, the comfy bed, the interesting bits of history shown in photos and sculptures throughout the hotel, the cheerful breakfast room with many good selections for all tastes including yummy coffee and teas, the whirlpool bathtub (though a grab bar to get in an out would be great), the friendly and responsive staff, the amazing location central to the old city and environs. I highly recommend a stay when visiting wonderful Girona!!! I shall return.
Cons: Not applicable for me,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room , case of flowers and bottle cava in room when we arrived- totally unexpected but a lovely welcoming touch. Staff very helpful at all times.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Museu is right in town and walking distance to everything in Gerona. As I wrote in another review, staying in a Medieval town is an absolute treat! When all the tours leave for the day, you have the town to yourself. Take night and early morning walks and get the best photos. The atmosphere is serene and contemplative. The hotel itself is very tastefully decorated and the rooms are modern, comfortable and elegant. Adequate free parking is not too far away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is a historic building. Also, we can see something interesting about Salvador Dali.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good location. Great selection for breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Nothing - everything excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful with parking the car. Even were surprised that guest have coffee and tea free! Not that it is so important, but so guest minded.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, helpful staff. Excellent location right in the centre of the old town. High quality rooms. Great breakfast.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was fairly small, and the technology was overkill. A little noisy since in the centre, but worth the balance. Dining out we were spoiled for choice and after a little wander found a really wonderful localy eatery a bit out of the main drag.
Cons: Breakfast was expensive so we chose to eat out-- which despite a walk was a great experience. Parking was also expensive and VERY tight for our small SUV. It took all our sensors to get out. The staff were superhelpful though, the young lady on reception came out and made sure I did not scrape anything.
Hotel Arcs De Monells - Girona - Building

Pros: Staff went over and beyond when we had an illness problem (completely unrelated to the hotel)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very well located to explore the whole region Excellent breakfast Private terrace with a view of the very large garden Quiet and peaceful Friendly staff
Cons: The bathtub/shower is in the middle of the room and surrounded by glass, which is awkward While there is a mini fridge, it is extremely slow cooling off and weirdly enough it turns off when the apartment's key is not inserted in the main electricity switch, so warming up when you are not in during the day
5.8 Okay
Cons: Air condition only at night. Bath tub right beside the bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It feels like your the only people staying great staff fantastic food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Proprietors Josep and Sandra, provide a first class bed and breakfast type experience in a 4 star hotel in the heart of a 12th century village in the historic Girona, Spain region. The rooms are tastefully contemporary while maintaining the charm of the original building. The bedrooms open up to a patio and peaceful garden where we were serenaded day and night by songbirds. The king size bed made up with cool cotton sheets was very comfortable and the shower/bath with glass partition gave the appearance of spaciousness. We were greeted daily with a varied European breakfast complete with Iberian ham, sausage and local cheeses, breads, croissants and fresh fruit, juices and yogurt. The Nespresso coffee was available through the day. Either Sandra or Josep were on hand to prepare a cold drink or glass of wine from the fully stocked bar in the reception area. We also appreciated their mastery of the English language and their suggestions of what to see in the area. After 4 nights of rest and relaxation we were ready to brace the hustle and bustle of Barcelona.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful village and surrounding area and the hotel is modern while maintaining a historical appearance, in-keeping with the village. Staff are real lovely people and the facilities fantastic. Also worth having an evening meal as our food was excellent
Cons: Not a lot!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostel is amazing, great value for the price. Nice stuff, great, spacious room (loved the hot tub), did not use the pool because the beach is some meters away, delicious breakfast and dinner. And transport to Tossa de Mar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff made our stay very comfortable. They were very caring and compassionate. Any information we needed the hotel staff gave us. There were free parasol, umbrellas and even the swimming pool and table tennis available. Cons: It got a bit to warm for us during the evening/night and one was dreaming of a more efficient aircondition.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find really central
Cons: Breakfast was basic.needed eggs adding to optionsgreat
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Javier the host is very kind and helpful, he knows very good places to eat and visit. Breakfast is delicious. The rooms are well isolated from noise from the street, which is good since the location of the B&B is excellent, in a street full of restaurants, in front of the tourist office. A really good place to stay and visit Girona.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hospitality and kind gestures really made our first time in Girona extra special. We had travel advice, tips on local eating and homemade jam for breakfast! Location was excellent as only a few minutes walk from Cathedral steps, would highly recommend for a romantic city break/long stay in Catalonia!
Cons: I can’t think of negative points! Even the shared bathroom felt private as we didn’t seem to share with any other guests.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was superb and the host was absolutely amazing and hospitable!
Cons: The only thing we would recommend is to get the locks changed since it was difficult for us as well as other tenants to get into the B&B using the existing lock/key and we were stuck outside for a bit! otherwise, amazing experience!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location is fantastic, right in the old historic quarter next to pedestrian streets with loads of restaurants and cafes seated outside. Javi is a great host, incredibly friendly and helpful - a joy to deal with. And the B&B has lots of charm, beautifully decorated and comfortable, spotlessly clean. Highly recommended!
Cons: I suppose the breakfast was ordinary, considering you're paying for B&B. It consisted of sliced pan to toast and a wide variety of homemade jams (which everyone raves about as being superb and you can purchase to take away) plus some basic cooked meats. Might have expected hot breakfast options, such as eggs or bacon - not a big deal but potential for better choice! Also the towels in the room are very scratchy, obviously dried on the line in the sun - again not a deal breaker by any means but this section does invite some constructive opinions.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner and host is most welcoming! You will feel like you’re home the moment you step in.
Cons: The property was what you pay for and would expect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was fantastic! Wonderful view from our room of the canal. Right next to shops and restaurants. All the staff were brilliant and very helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The location was perfect and the room was lovely overlooking the rambla. Olga and Jave were both very kind and provided lots of good advice. The homemade jams were excellent.
Cons: Nothing to mention

Pros: Very clean and welcoming
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Elena fantastic
Cons: The bell from the church nearby rings every hour day and night. Very annoying when trying to sleep
4.6 Okay
Pros: Just ok bathroom extremely small sink in bedroom and bathroom lots of mould did not use shower as not very appealing
Cons: Really old in need of revamp
7.9 Good
Pros: Perfect location and nice authentic deco.
7.5 Good
Pros: The building is wonderfully quirky & the location is perfect. The place was spotless & the staff very pleasant & helpful
Cons: My room was very small & had no natural light due to a very tiny window which opened directly onto a wall. I really need light so would not have booked this room if I’d known. Other people might not have found it such a problem
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Close to the centre and Cathedrale. I enjoyed having a private bathroom with towels provided :)
Cons: They offer a complimentary breakfast which is great but it was only bakery food (croissants etc) and for someone who has dietary requirements and can’t eat any animal products or gluten, I would’ve liked to see some fruit available (this was the first place I’ve stayed while travelling Europe that didn’t offer fruit). Otherwise no other problems :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this little place was wonderful. The lovely people who worked there were very helpful.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean and great location right in the historic centre

8.9 Excellent (735 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Historic in Girona (Old Town), you'll be steps from Girona Cathedral and Girona's Museum of Art. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was amazing. The staff was very informative
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Unbeatable location, right next to the cathedral. Gorgeous stone walls and vaulted ceilings seamlessly incorporated with modern materials and all conveniences. Bed was heavenly comfortable. The room was absolutely silent, thanks to the two foot thick stone walls. Great shower. Loved our room.
Cons: Breakfast is served by the owner, a busy guy. He takes care of everything, but it's hard to wait for coffee in the morning. A self-serve Nespresso machine like other hotels have would be great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location in old town close to cathedral & good restaurants. Built in old ruins.
Cons: Wifi was very intermittent but otherwise no complaints
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We had the Angel Suite on the top floor which was large and spacious and very clean, with all the facilities required, air conditioning, Lift to all floors, Large TV, jacuzzi bath, wi-fi, large bed, a huge window arrangement which allowed wonderful views over the city to the hills beyond. The staff were very friendly and helpful, advising on all the local train connections and restaurants to visit. Breakfast was plentiful and a good choice and eggs cooked fresh and how you liked them, The décor was very classical, cool and the whole hotel was nicely presented
Cons: My only advice on the hotel would be to have kettles in the rooms rather than Nespresso machines.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location very near to the Cathedral. Spacious bathroom. Terrace on the top floor for communal use. Fridge in the room. Tasty simple breakfast.
Cons: Chimes from the Cathedral clock through the night but this didn’t cause us any loss of sleep.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner drew lots of information on the map for us which was very helpful and lovely! Loved the decor of the whole place, and the roof terrace views were beautiful.
Cons: Not very easy to find initially. Maybe an email with map or guidance would be helpful.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel in the most perfect setting right next to the cathedral.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful bed linen comfortable beds.
Cons: Would be nice to have facility to sit to have glass of wine cup of coffee It’s such a beautiful building
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really enjoyed our stay. Interesting property round the corner from the cathedral - great location. We had a nice large room on the top floor with a small private terrace. The staff at reception were very responsive when we had queries or issues.
Cons: The bedside lighting was poor - small dark red shades which made it impossible to read - even with the rest of the lights on. There was a small towel rail, but nowhere to really hang wet towels, or dressing gowns etc. This could be easily fixed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful old building which has been modernised very sympathetically. Very quiet and extremely well located for discovering the old town. Breakfast was just right - fresh fruit and croissants. Staff very helpful.
Cons: Wi fi very difficult in rooms

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff, very helpful. Breakfast was good, pool was still open which was a bonus for October. The hotel was cycle friendly with a secure basement garage (with CCTV).
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was amazing
Cons: Room was small
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The decor was really lovely throughout. Bedrooms were spacious, bright and very clean, with a big comfy bed. The hotel was quiet with lots of space to sit around the pool. The location was good, 5 minutes walk from a big supermarket and 15-20 minutes walk to the centre. The walk is a straight road as well, so you won't get lost. The pool area is nice and there's a gym you can use too, it's a bit dated but handy to have. There's a terrace over the pool that could be nice but there was just two chairs and a metal frame of a gazebo, this could do with being spruced up.
Cons: The pool was freezing cold, despite the 30 degree temperature outside. Far too cold to enjoy the water. The breakfast was pretty good, but it was overpriced. There is a restaurant in the hotel but it was pretty empty, the lunch options were pretentious and more like dinner options. We used the restaurant once, we had two juices, 1 dish of some very questionable looking beef and 1 dish of fruit and it cost €20. I think the restaurant would be more successful if they sold toasties or light salads that people could eat round the pool during the day. If the terrace was redecorated people could eat more relaxed lunches outdoors.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. But the walk into town was a lot farther than we had expected
Cons: We expected more from the breakfast. While there was a lot of choice, the cooked items were not very hot and items such as the bacon and sausages were not cooked enough.
7.9 Good
Pros: Grounds were nice free parking (bonus) pool onsite Las rambles area is a 10 minute walk Onsite dining was good
Cons: Safes in rooms have a surcharge, older style set up
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Very close to historic area, with plenty of restaurants and sights. The front desk clerk on check in was terrific with many good recommendations and insights into the city.
Cons: Bed was a little uncomfortable, especially the pillows. The bathroom could have been a little better provisioned.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Couldn't open the window completely
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful and friendly. Very nice food in the restaurant. Loved the honesty bar. Pool was nice. Super quiet room even though we faced a main road.
Cons: Bathroom very clean but a little tired. Would have preferred a walkin shower. Didn't need the very large tv over the desk. Would have preferred a mirror/dressing table. Only coffee option in room was decaff.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I was away, just me and my bike and in that basis difficult to fault. I had breakfast in the hotel only once as I preferred to go into the old town for a bit more atmosphere, but if opting for breakfast it was plentiful. They had a small, secure bike garage that had a track pump and were creating another whilst I was there to deal with increased demand. All in all, very bike friendly. It’s located about a mile from the town centre, but the 20 min walk didn’t ever feel a chore. Loved having the pool to use in the afternoon post ride and the honesty bar works well. Special mention to all of the staff who couldn’t do enough to help, particularly Handsome Johnny on reception :) I’ll be going back
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff lovely, even the more serious gentleman had a good sense of humour. Beds and pillows so comfortable I slept a straight 9 hours. Food in restaurant was nice. Didn't have breakfast. Snack bar was handy. Rooms kept very clean. Loved the decor. Very relaxed vibe. Pool was a lovely bonus.

Pros: My second visit to this hotel - last time was with my great dane however I notice the hotel now has a weight limit on the size of dog they accept (too bad!). 7.9 Good
Pros: The staff was very friendly and very helpfull, and always took time to answer my many questions and supply me with usefull information. Its a short walk to most of the restaurants and the main station - max 10-15 min. They had a few moviechannels, where it was possible to change the language to the movies original language ... just be polite and change it back after use.
Cons: I unfortunately had to get a 3 person room as a single traveller. Would have be nice to have a doublebed in the room rather than 3 single beds (minor thing though). The breakfast could use an improvement.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful and friendly. This is a hidden gem of cleanliness and comfort. Breakfast was very good. Much better than the 3 stars we stayed in on this trip.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Position ofl and friendliness of all staff and the attitude that any question was there to be answered with a smilke.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Good size room & bathroom.
Cons: There was some loud pedestrian noise late at night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room, bathroom, staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very clean with very pleasant and helpful staff. The breakfast was good, plenty of variety.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had a fantastic time at the hotel. For the price we had an excellent stay. Here are some of the key positives: -great location- bus station, train station and old town within walking distance -friendly hard working staff! The same guy who was on reception was also running the breakfast room! So impressed with him! He was always happy and smiling and working hard. -good choice for breakfast- coffee was great! -big room with a balcony- not much to view from the balcony but still a nice touch -air conditioning in the room- the room gets hot but the air con works great -good security, felt safe
Cons: Listen. You get what you pay for. This is a budget hotel, don’t expect luxuries otherwise pay according to that. The only thing I could really say is that there was only 1 mirror in the bathroom and no other mirrors in the room. Which for 2 girls getting ready can be difficult. This is the only fault I can find, which for us wasn’t a huge problem anyway! We had a fantastic stay and would happily stay again! Thank you so much!

Ca L´Arpa - Girona - Bedroom
13
8.7 Excellent (324 reviews)
Overview Reviews
This boutique hotel with free Wi-Fi houses a Michelin Star Restaurant. It is in the centre of this charming town, less than 1 km from the Lake of Banyoles. The Ca L’Arpa is set in a 19th-century house and offers attractive design. It is a short walk to Banyoles’s main square. Some rooms offer a private balcony and air conditioning; while others have a private terrace. Ca L’Arpa’s restaurant offers modern versions of traditional recipes. It uses local and seasonal ingredients. Historic Girona is only 15 km away and the Dalí Museum in Figueres is within 30 km. The surrounding area is ideal for cycling and hiking. There are also golf courses nearby.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The deserts
Cons: Some issues in the room furniture
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a family hotel with a Michelin Star Chef at its head. It is therefore an amazing gastronomic experience, with the breakfasts being unmissable. Do eat there in the evening you’ll find great value in the menu de “goges”. We stayed in a superior room and the bed was very large and comfortable. Thee was a very large storage area for clothes etc and two shower options which I appreciated. The rooms are spotless. The towels large and soft. Staff are very friendly and were able to accommodate our two bicycles, as we made the most of cycling around the area, especially the nearby lake. There is free parking in adjacent streets and you can drop off stuff directly outside the hotel in the taxi area for 10 minutes.
Cons: For the room price I would have expected some complimentary drinks, (tea, coffee, water) to have been available in the room. Although Chef did without hesitation provide us with a flask of boiling water on request. I would also suggest placing the body lotion outside of the shower/ bath cubicle rather than within it.
6.7 Good
Cons: Chef did not arrive for breakfast.. so no breakfast available
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything its perfect
6.7 Good
Cons: Breakfast starts 8.30
7.5 Good
Pros: I could not eat at the hotel because 1. Brekkie was 8-10.30 am....i was rowing coaching and could not get an early breakfast 2. Dinner - the restaurant did not open until 9pm. I was up daily at 6am, for the rowing coaching. I cannot therefore eat so late. i would prefer to eat at 7pm.
Cons: Eating times did not suit me. No cafe at the hotel. No coffee / cakes available
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable and central. Excellent breakfast.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely family run (I think) establishment, with nice bedrooms and a great restaurant. Premium decor and finish, and run/maintained by a small number of staff, including the chef and I assume, owner, which makes it feel more personal. The location is perfect and there's free street parking a short walk away, with the heart of the Old Town a short walk in the other direction. Also close to the famous Lake of Banyoles and good for accessing Besalu, which is a must-see medieval town.
Cons: There was Aircon but it was struggling to deal with the 38° heat. I think we would have been better in a smaller, standard room as it would have cooled down better as slightly smaller and without the huge windows acting as greenhouse glass! This didn't ruin the stay and the room came down to an okay temperature. Outside of August I'm sure the bigger room would be fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cuisine excellent
Cons: Reception unmanned for 15 mins when I arrived. They seemed to be busy in the kitchen.

8.6 Excellent (674 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Casa Cundaro in Girona (Old Town), you'll be steps from Girona Cathedral and City History Museum. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, adjacent to the Cathedral. virtually deserted until around 11am. Great walk around the walls. Best eateries in the arcades around the Placa de la Indepencia.
Cons: The walk from the station, ok until you cross the river, then take to the steps. Easy on the way back. Give the John Lennon garden a miss, unless you want to Imagine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely love this set of apartments. Fantastic location right next to cathedral and good restaurants. This is our 7th stop at casa cundaro would not stop anywhere else. Such good value for money and the hotel is also great. We have already booked for the flower festival in May 2020. We enjoy coffee in the international square and my son loves the Knight shop!
Cons: Really would recommend that they provide kettle and drinks facilities in the rooms. This would be the nice finishing touch
7.5 Good
Pros: Spacious, quiet, clean, and super well located. Very beautiful room. Would have enjoyed better view but this is nothing compared to what we got out of it.
Cons: Would have enjoyed a hair drier... not a major complaint this time of the year.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Service was great ..coffee and tea making facilities would have been good
Cons: Nothing
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location is great, right next to the cathedral and just a short stroll to the lovely old quarter of town. The building where our room was located is attractive, with an interesting garden, however, like our room, much more could have been made of this, it too was a bit neglected and needed some investment to fulfill its potential.
Cons: The check in was unclear. The fact you had to find another hotel, further up the hill to check in and out needs to be made much more obvious. We and another confused guest wasted nearly 1hour on arrival and were only saved by cleaners showing us the way. Why not have a notice with a map in relevant languages outside the building for guests? Cleanliness of the room was average at best and generally the room was a bit tired and shabby. The time for a deep clean and an update, is long overdue!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great right in the centre & loads of character, in the old town highly recommended.
Cons: Everything was great nothing to dislike
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Quiet , relaxing and an amazingly well renovated interior. Great breakfast, lovely garden and pool area .
Cons: Not much
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Could use more renovation and upgrading.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, just right next to the Cathedral; very friendly staff that helped us park and advised us on breakfast options outside the hotel/appartment.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
Apartments Historic - Girona - Building

8.7 Excellent (86 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Apartments Historic in Girona (Old Town), you'll be steps from Girona Cathedral and Girona's Museum of Art.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was amazing, near to and on the level with the Cathedral. The apartment was very comfortable, we only stayed a night but it had everything you'd need to stay longer. The air conditioning was excellent! The staff were very helpful.
Cons: The bathroom was perfectly serviceable but would benefit from a little refurbishment. Breakfast was fine for us, some may like more cooked options for the price. Girona is beautiful but all the steps make it difficult if you have any joint or fitness issues!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, next to the main church.
Cons: No soundproof windows. But possible to sleep and rest.
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: The accommodation was a little run down and the kitchen not well equipped for self catering. There were no blinds and the lights from outside were bright in the bedroom at night.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Big space, quite clean
Cons: Bad kitchen equipment, old furniture, crazy hot heating system.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We had a very pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful with our needs. The apartment had good facilities and was very clean.
Cons: There wasn't much that I didn't like. I would say that the overall cost of the room could be a little bit cheaper
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We've stayed at the Hotel Historic over the past 14 or so years and witnessed the transformation under the new owners of the past four or five years. It's a great place and now an even better place reaching the last two years of improvements. We've always stayed in the two-bedroom apartment so cannot comment on the rest of the rooms but understand most of them have been upgraded with the remainder to be done shortly. There is a cosy room terrace with a view to the spire of the Gerona Cathedral; spectacular at night. And the dining room under curved brick ceilings and arches a superb setting for breakfast. And that is everything that anybody would want with the host giving a multiple choice on how the eggs are cooked.
Cons: Since our first few visits the local authority has changed the parking rules and it is no longer possible to park near the hotel apart from dropping off luggage. The best bet is park (free) oputside the nearby city walls and walk in. It's a short and pleasant walk. Or get a taxi!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We've stayed at the Hotel Historic many times over more than ten years and witnessed it's improvements in decor, ambience and comfort. We understand there are a further two years of work to be done but meanwhile it is a superb stay in a quiet part of town, close to the Cathedral. Breakfast is superb. For an evening drink there is now a cosy open roof terrace with a spectacular view of the Cathedral.
Cons: Unfortunately the local authority has now made it almost impossible to park close to the hotel. The nearest area is on the outside of the city walls. It's only a short walk away burt nevertheless cumbursome if you have several pieces of luggage.
6.3 Good
Cons: The smell coming out of the toilet. The uncomfortable double bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole experience was great. Girona is fabulous ! I traveled alone just to get away. It was amazing. I never felt unsafe. The locals were chilled and helpful. I didn't know what to expect I just needed a getaway for four days. The hotel apts. couldn't be better located to sites and super clean. The old town is clean. No drunks or loud mouths. I love traveling and will definitely be back. I just roamed and explored around every corner was beauty.
Cons: Hmmm..wifi cut out in room quite a bit...but it was a rainy thundery day where I was on line a long time. So I'm whining about nothing. Please do yourself a favour and go.

7.1 Good
Pros: The staff were very polite and helpful, the location of the hotel is great, short walk to the old town and the square.
Cons: Could hear everything in the room from outside to the rooms beside us very clearly, the bed was quite hard.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location great for access to old town, bars, shops, restaurants and particularly good for access to fantastic cycling.
Cons: Incredibly noisy into the early hours outside. Not the hotels fault just be aware the central location means you end up with an endless stream of shouting and sometimes screaming drunk people walking past.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel in excellent location. The hotel also had a neat well-equipped bike room (as this was a cycling hol). Would stay here again.
Cons: For 12.50 Euros the breakfast is very average. Just improving the orange juice (concentrated carton stuff) and coffee would make a difference but a small gripe.

8.8 Excellent

Pros: Not much
Cons: Every charge seemed legitimate until you saw what you were getting, the breakfast, the parking, the room. Everything was misleading
6.7 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel was perfect. The breakfast was food.
Cons: Airconditioning problems for two weeks! A lot of sound during the breakfast. Much sound in kitchen. Starts also a bit late 7.30. For work was start at 7.00 better. During cleaning the room they take always the plastic cup what you should use by toothbrusing, not place a new one..

7.5 Good
Pros: we loved the location at the top of the hill, superb views. We loved the pool area, lots of bed and luxury seating etc. At night with all the lamps, it was a beautiful location. The bar was very reasonable. We loved all the reception areas - very stylish. We loved the staff, apart from barmen who never seemed to be around when you wanted a drink! Nice bathroom with adequate toiletries.
Cons: No coffee making facilities in room. No iron in room and when we asked at reception they were very reluctant to let us have one! Didn't like the hard bed with stupidly soft pillows with no support. And two hangers in the wardrobe? Mini bar was not well stocked. This is a 5 star so wanted a tad more luxury.
