Very good quality accommodation, super comfortable, squeaky clean and cosy suite, very friendly staff, nice breakfast - nothing more to ask for! We travelled with a small child and the accommodation took into account this and provided a cot and bed linen.
Nothing we did not like about the hotel as such. Just something to keep in mind is that it's very centrally located and on a hot summer weekend night (which is relatively rare for Luxembourg but was our case) it is difficult if not impossible to sleep with the windows open as the bars around the hotel make it a very noisy experience. The hotel had anyway provided a fan which to some extent helped.
Wide windows for lovely views. Kettle in room, which was unexpected. Pillow menu was good.
I fell down the stairs as they were slippery, staff sat at the reception and watched without helping.
Central location with easy access to all major attractions in the city. The room was spacious and clean and the staff were very helpful.
The lack of air conditioning. With the temperature Europe experience every summer it’s time to have a/c. Even the restaurant has them why not the rooms? Specially when the indoor area is about 10 degree higher even on the cooler days. This maybe a plus in the winter but not so much during the hot summer. Finally it’s not the hotel’s fault but the bar & pubs were too noisy. The new windows helps when they are closed but like I was saying, it’s hot.
Good location very roomy and comfortable bed. Very clean
The hotel was located in a noisy area and wasn’t air conditioned so it was either keep the windows closed to keep out the noise or leave them open to get some breeze. It also has some stairs which might not suit all travellers
The hotel is very quaint and the staff were lovely and helpful. It is conveniently located a short walk from everything you would need to see in Luxembourg.
Since it is very central it is quite close to some fairly raucous and there was quite a lot of noise until very late into the night. You probably wouldn't want to have the windows open in summer when people will be drinking on the street outside. I don't think there is a lot the hotel can do about this. We put the fan on which drowned out most of the noise, but if you are concerned about noise ask for a room at the back of the hotel. Otherwise you'll just have to stay out late!
