We did not take the rental as they wanted a deposit od 1300 euros which would be held for 45 days
When we arrived to pick up the car, they said it was canceled, that there was no car available for us.
Hidden costs everywhere! Firstly, I paid ca. 54€ for the car, bit it was not the car, only the “reservation”. The fee itself needs to be paid on site (more than 80 €), during the collection in Malta. Then there is the “Airport usage” fee (25€), “holiday” fee (25€) for the date when I need to give the car back (I brought the car 1 day earlier in order to avoid it!), than the deposit (1300€ without the insurance and “only” 400€ with the insurance). Why it cannot be written clearly in few lines, but is always hidden somewhere on 45 pages of text or is not written at all? What was originally 54€, ended over 300€ with the insurance + 400€ deposit (which hopefully comes back, but I am not sure anymore!). The car itself was OK - a bit dirty and the windshield wipers were not working (they needed to be changed probably 3 years ago, cannot wipe s**t), and it was rainy for 2 days, so I could not drive..
I paid for a convertible and it was not a convertible!!
Worst service I ever had in my life unfortunately there is no option to rat 0 stars or even minus. The price in the site was not accurate, and they added extra prices for some location fees and out of hours fees that was not mentioned when I made the reservation, and that's not the worst. They have me a car that didn't work well when I tried to start it in the parking. when I somehow managed to start the car I thought everything was ok, but after one drive, the day later the car just didn't start. They asked me paying 100 Euros for road assistance after they gave me a car that doesn't start after one drive. Don't ever rent for them a car. I had to drive only by cabs and they don't even accept to refund me. Worst service in the world for sure. Probably going to sue them for this unfortunate case.
