I liked the style of the hotel from the outside, and it’s location being so close to Marble Arch, Baker Street and of course Oxford street. The breakfast was great and had lots of choice, plus staff very friendly.
No tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, you had to ask for a complimentary drink to be made which wasn’t always the easiest thing to do. Also, we were located in room 100 in the basement right next to the Kitchen and breakfast room. On our first evening we had no lights and was told they would fix it but as it was late we went to bed. The next morning we were disturbed in the early hours by staff in the breakfast room/kitchen clattering pots etc and when we looked at the time was so annoyed! The noise continued from around 5 am and we were trying to cover our ears when all the lights coming on!! So my husband went and complained at 5:40am and asked to be moved rooms. We were told it was full but they eventually moved us whilst we were out for the day. However when we returned we realised it was in the room next door no: 200 still in the basement, next to the breakfast room and at the bottom of the stairwell so just as noisy. Beware of you are given either of these rooms!
Too many great things about this hotel to name, but the little extra touches they went to in order to make our stay more special meant alot! :D
If the mini bar had been complimentary - but that isn't a reason not to stay there! :)
Breakfast and location
Room was a bit small
The location was good for Oxford Street & in particularly if you want to visit Winter Wonderland. Good car parks close by.Its about a 2 mile walk to Theatre land.
i would not rate this 4 star. The reception lady was lovely but the reception area felt a little seedy & not welcoming at all. Although there is a lovey lounge that would be nice to sit in.I would not describe this a boutique hotel & certainty nothing special. It was quite a disappointment. The bathroom had broken floor tiles & mould on the ceiling. The carpets was frayed on the threshold. Breakfast is served in the basement & its buffet style. we didn't think much of it & it was not a nice room to be in. Cheap Ikea chairs. Although a lovely cheerful waitress who was very friendly.
