Stomping at the Savoy was all it was supposed to be!!! Simply beautiful hotel that creates an inner city oasis for the traveler. The service was IMPECCABLE! The common rooms are gorgeous ! They truly understand the hotel business from the terrific doormen to wonderfully helpful concierge....DEAN!!! A GREAT place to stay!!! The rooms with the Thames and eye view are truly the good life!!!! You want to live there!!! Lol!!!

Not all the rooms are spectacular. We provided a room for our goddaughter and her husband that was nice but they have much nicer rooms! They didn’t mind but I did as our room was no comparison to theirs!

    Beautiful and historical.

Poor service, queuing to check in. Lack of room in bar area for guests when non residents were in situ.

Excellent breakfast ,we opted for high tea which was pretty amazing too.Various staff in restaurants were so awesome-Mateo,Freddie,Rosalyn all professionals, always going the extra mile by stopping at the table for small talk, checking on us over and over.Bell desk was similarly fantastic.Rooms are well done, bathrooms are nice, hallways are spectacular with fine oil paintings.Location of the hotel is absolutely fabulous too.

Staff at check -in and check -out desks were terrible . We were paying about 1000 gbp per night for our room , yet were initially given a room with very poor inside view. This poor room wasn't given either promptly despite early check in was requested prior to our flight,so never honoured even by two hours. After checking in, even till 5 pm our bags didn’t reach the room which was so exhausting just sitting on sofa waiting for bags to come so we can freshen up. Complained about this to lady who finally gave us a room with better view by 4.15 pm.Late check out requested by 2 hours again was never honored despite creating this total mess at check-in by them. Housekeeping was another mess- never leaving fresh toileteries after making the room at mid day. Call them they promise to bring but then dont. Not worth 1000 pound plus tag for every night with such service. For 500-600 gap one get get better service with similar district one locations in London.Seems like some staff are employed on conditional or locus basis and have little or no training so they absolutely fail to understand the route associated with the name and quality of service expected. The old staff is thorough and fantastic Honestly there was no wow factor asa was expected.

About

Overview

London is a beautiful city with much to see. For those who don’t just want to see London but want to experience it, The Savoy is perfect.

Guests will find a beautifully British feeling in everything at The Savoy. The rooms are classically designed and decorated with beautiful furnishings. The bathrooms have elegant modern countertops and modern amenities. Most rooms and suites have gorgeous views of the River Thames and other London landmarks.

Dining at The Savoy is enjoyed by both tourists and locals alike. Simpson’s in the Strand started as a chess club and coffee house in 1828 but has since been revamped to showcase classic British cuisine. The Thames Foyer sits in a spacious domed atrium with a gazebo in the middle. During the day, the gazebo is occupied by a pianist and in the evening, they are replaced with a lively band, inspiring the concept of a “dinner dance”. The Thames foyer is also famous for its traditional afternoon tea. The Savoy Grill has seen more than its fair share of celebrity guests but also features celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay as the head of the kitchen. Kaspar’s at the Savoy allows guests to watch chefs cook at the centerpiece bar and serves seasonal dishes of both delicious land fare and seafood.

The Savoy doesn’t just provide a place for guests to stay but rather, creates experiences. Guests can book an iconic Rolls Royce Phantom with a chauffeur to arrive at the Savoy in glamor and style. They can also enjoy a private river cruise, that sets sail from the Savoy Pier. No matter what guests choose to do, they are sure to have a stay fit for a queen.
