fabulous location overlooking the Thames and not far from Vauxhall
Breakfast is good but quite expensive (£25)
Location was great. Views breathtaking over the Thames and Parliament
Very busy hotel. Staff did not give that customer experience to make you feel special. Rooms and furniture need an upgrade and better cleaning.
Central location great for sightseeing would of preferred a view of the House of Commons so would probably request it if we stayed again
Straying on the 17th floor in the hotel meant we had to navigate the lift, reception, foyer, escalators and long corridor to reach the pool which frankly made you feel uncomfortable
Views from room, location for attractions, elemis toiletries. The complimentary free upgrade to the executive lounge (for the issues with check in). The fact cabs were constantly available outside hotel. Lovely little petit fours in rooms. Fairly quiet hotel for a city location. Staff very friendly and helpful although not always aware of procedures/accessibility to facilities - nothing some good team briefings couldn't cure. Overall we would choose to stay again especially as we now know how it works. The snacks etc in the executive lounge are available throughout the day and are delicious . Make sure you head out onto the balcony in the evening.
That we weren't told we could have breakfast in the executive lounge until day 2, wait for the lifts and check in issues - having pre paid through booking.com and the hotel claiming we hadn't even though we showed them emails and evidence of payment processed. Only getting 1 bottle of water on each day there for 2 guests. Being woken at 6.45am by maintenance to check our bathroom as someone else had a problem and not even an apology, considering the cause wasn't from our room.
Wrong information was given before we made our reservation. It wasn't easy to resolve the mix-up before our arrival. When we got there, we could speak to the Front of House Manager and the situation was resolved in a very effective way. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The housekeeping personel and the staff that take care of the executive lounge is utterly friendly and helpful. If you can get a room with a view on the river, go for it. The view is stunning.
The suite could have been cleaner. The hotel came with a swift solution in order to meet our needs but the suite clearly wasn't cleaned. They didn't clean it during our stay either.
