+ Hotel room was clean, beds were really comfy - we were fully rested after our all-day walking + Hotel is located near few metro stations + Wonderful Hyde Park nearby
- On hotter days it's hard to stay in hotel room, there wasn't any air conditioning, luckily fan was in the room
The hotels location - right next to Kensington Park - was perfect and just far enough out of the city centre to compromise on price.
Whilst I appreciate this isn’t going to be five star for £70 per night, the room was just about big enough for two people to be in. Some of the finishing wasn’t great but if you’re literally using it as a bed for the night without needing any other facilities, it’s not too bad.
For the price this was a good located hotel, it was clean had a good shower in bathroom and breakfast was included in the price.
Found the bed a little uncomfortable
I liked the receptionist whose English was so good I thought she was English, but when I heard her speaking Italian I asked if we could speak Italian, because I prefer this to English, and she just agreed. Some people would make a fuss and refuse. It may seem petty, but I really appreciated it. I also made a stupid error with my Italian and accidentally said I don't like the English, when I meant that I don't like speaking English, so it was very nice of her to forgive me what may have seemed like a rude statement. I haven't spoken Italian for years now, just a stupid mistake.
I don't know what to say on this one. Firstly, it seems like a good hotel in a fantastic location with good staff and very happy guests coming in and out. Everybody was smiling, it was like they were having a big party, so it has to be good. But I honestly can't say, because I didn't stay there. There was a problem with my room, which I accept, it is real life and things can go wrong, and they paid for me to transfer to some flats about a mile away, including the taxi. But the flats were not ready, I had to wait an hour for the workmen to fix the lock on my door, and the room was very cold, although I put the heating on and it warmed up after an hour or so, and I have no right to complain about this. The bathroom was tiny, the toilet was very smelly and the floor was flooded. I suppose these things happen too. And the residents living upstairs did not know who I was and it was uncomfortable to explain it to them. But the main problem was, I am no internet addict and I try to limit my internet use to 20 mins a day, but on my last night in the UK I NEEDED to contact people regarding my arrival home and arrange work. etc, and there was no wifi in the flat they sent me to, which meant I needed to pay for some random and VERY BAD street wifi service which cost me ten pounds for two hours (the same price as a whole MONTH of unlimited reliable high speed internet in my country - Kazakhstan). UK internet is an absolute joke, I don't understand why Brits put up with it, it is the slowest and worst of ANY country I have ever been to including so-called developing countries, but at least you can get some connection. I paid ten pounds for something I consider I had already paid for when I booked the hotel. No hard feelings, I will book there again, only next time I hope they will give me a room.
