3 trips using this hotel which is right next to King's Cross station. Great for the tube and the railway and plenty of shops and restaurants (including fast food). The hotel serves a full traditional breakfast of very decent quality. There are no frills and you get what you pay for, but this is a good hotel for the price. WiFi is usually very good. From the tube station take the Euston Road South exit - it's right at the end of Belgrove Street.
Beds have only single pillows and there are no hand towels provided in rooms. The basic furniture is only just up to the job. The TV has poor signal and the picture tends to pixelate and breakdown so remember your tablet.
Good location, nice and helpful staff
A bit outdated, could do with some touch up.
Friendly happy staff, excellent location. Right opposite Kings Cross Station & St Pancras international station.
Very very cold. The heating was turned off completely at night & also sometimes during the day. “As per the bosses orders” I was told. I slept fully clothed with a coat on - sadly some staff found it amusing that I was so cold. Their superior attitude to people who came from the tropics was disappointing. I sat in restaurants on some occasions to warm up. The plumbing needed attention. My shower drain was a rough hole in the cement. The washbasin taps were missing hot & cold knobs & it took a lot of strength to jam the taps closed to stop them leaking. Guests being allowed to smoke in the entrance doorway was disappointing - the smoke wafted straight into the building.
Staff was very friendly. Rooms were cleaned every day. Breakfast was typical English breakfast with coffee and tea. Great hotel with good price for London. Thank you for the welcoming stay!
Location was great for St Pancras/Kings Cross. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was unlimited and tasty. Price was good for London, £49 for bed and breakfast for one night.
The Belgrove Hotel was ideal for my needs. I arrived at Kings Cross and wanted somewhere to stay overnight before traveling from St Pancras in the morning. The Belgrove is only a 5 minute walk from St Pancras/Kings Cross. With plenty of shops, bars and places to eat nearby. A nice pub nearby is the King Charles 1, a wood panelled cosy pub with a fire, real ales and live music on some evenings. Signing in and paying was quick and easy. But my room was on the 3rd floor so difficult carrying a heavy case but i was ok. My room was very small but everything i needed for one night, a comfortable bed, hand basin, small wardrobe and a window. The shared shower room was directly opposite and the shared toilet yards away. The breakfast is a buffet style in the downstairs breakfast room. There was tea, toast and jam, coffee and fruit juice, cereal and eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, tomatoes etc. It was nice. I could have stayed here for a few days, as i only use a room for sleeping in when i sightsee. The Belgrove is not 5 star, however it is well located and great as a place to rest your head in between travelling.
