Food and no parking
The reception staff were superb, as was the chef who was serving the meal on our second evening there. The view from the room was incredible, too.
There wasn't much casual lounging social space - in the evening, you had the choice either to be in the entertainment bar, or in the other bar which was really quiet.
It was what it was, but it wasn’t as Grand as it used to be
Leak through ceiling from floor above that certainly wasn’t new and not been rectified

I had booked a standard double room through booking.com, on arrival at the property we were informed that the information came wrong and therefore we were placed in a filthy family room, with stink and in poor conditions. The lady at the reception was adamant, luckily I did have a print out of my booking and when I asked that we have indeed not booked this sort of a room, she retaliated and informed that is what they had at the moment and rest of the hotel rooms were booked, she harshly informed us that, if u wish, you can come down to reception next morning to change the room, however due to full bookings she wasn’t certain what she to offer us. It was a horrifying night spent after tiresome journey. The next day we had to wait till noon to get her sorted for the room we had booked, we were stuck in the place till then. It is falsely informed that the placed is equipped with wifi, it’s only ground floor which had wifi, it’s ironical no rooms above the ground floor level has wifi. Be careful while one is booking the place.
My room was quiet and the bed clean and comfortable.
This is a once-grand hotel that has fallen on hard times and is now run on the cheap. Cheap furniture in the
