Pros:The hotel itself was nice, there were renovations going on and I got a renovated room.
Cons:I was going to give this an excellent review but I made a mistake and booked for 3 days rather than 3 nights which I take full responsibility for. Instead of calling me, the staff took all of my clothes and things and stuffed them into my bags, mixing my clean and dirty clothes, shoes, laptop, anything you would normally have. Then taking the bags which were left open and putting them in a housekeeping closet, keep in mind, my laptop and kindle were in there. Then they called me at 330 pm making me aware that they noticed I vacated the room but didn't vacate my things. I called them back within 10 minutes and explained to them what happened. At first she thought she had mixed up the days and then she said that no, actually I had made the mistake. I asked them because they had my credit card on file if they charge another night. The person shut me down immediately and said I had to go back through the 3rd party to book another night. (kayak, priceline) I got off the phone and booked another room there immediately; which I wish I hadn't done but I was panicked because I was there for work. I got back to the hotel and got my bags which my stuff had been shoved in them without being closed. I asked if I could speak to a manager. I was really upset they went through my things and I did not understand why they didn't call me first to see what might have happened. The manager was not there so I called the corporate office. The could not have been any nicer, they said the would have the hotel manager call me within 24 hours. The manager called me back. I said that I took full responsibility for making the error but I was really upset with them that they did not contact me first before going through all my things, they had my credit card on file, I would have charged another night with no problem. He said that this was 50% my fault and so I should take part of the responsibility. Mind you, I said that this was partly my fault but I thought what he said was a totally inappropriate thing to say. He then said he did not have my contact information and they could not call me. I reminded him, they had all of my information from priceline which included my phone number. I also told him that his employee called me after they had done it so they must have had it on file. He acted surprised and said he would look into it. He then said that they were completely booked and this was the reason. I let him know that as soon as I got off the phone that I booked a room there immediately so it was not a no vacancy issue. Basically, I was really upset with the way I was treated and really upset that someone had gone through all of my things including electronics. The manager then called me back and said he talked to the employee and that upon further investigation he would comp my room. I'm not someone who complains a lot but I really want this place to understand that it is not okay to go through people's things and it should have been approached much differently.
