Pros: Modern, clean and inviting. Could not fault this hotel it was perfect for a weekend stay within walking distance of the centre and excellent value for money. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet.

Pros: Very happy, after a 600km drive from Spain, to find a spacious, clean and bright room overlooking the hotel's central garden/courtyard. Plenty of unpacking space and connections for computers. Good secure parking garage. The building has clearly been built to modern standards and is generally acoustically insulated and therefore commendably quiet. However, the between-room walls are apparently timber-framed (not masonry) as evidenced by the fact that we thought the couple next door in room 223 were actually coming THROUGH the wall during their several bouts of sexual activity, the latest one being at 3.45 am. We woke up on every occasion. Despite this problem, if Campanile Hotels are all to this standard, I shall seek them out in future.

Cons: Because of the storm we had to eat at La Boucherie next door to the hotel. This was, as you'd gather, a very meaty restaurant and I'd have preferred a wider choice of dishes. Pleasant and friendly staff, though.

Cons: Located on a busy street, with free parking on the road but don't expect to find a place. The hotel has 4 parking spot in their garage for 10€ (I recommend to book it in advance), but it's pretty tight and tricky to park there...

Cons: I was charged €6 for an extra pillow for 3 nights which I thought was disgusting. The room was incredibly hot and they had no fans and the air conditioning had been turned off. Also no drawers or cupboards to put belongings. We knew there was no kettle but still missed it!

Pros: I liked that the room was big, warm enough, the bed was comfortable, and fairly quiet. Wifi fine. Everything was reasonably modern and worked well. On the other hand I found nothing to eat in the vicinity in the evening, or the next morning! The area felt unsafe. Not the hotel's fault! The hotel had no reception though, it is basically hotel rooms above a cafe / betting shop / bar. You go to the bar / shop to get the room key and then you are on your own. I liked quirky Limoges.

Pros: Good price quality ratio. Close to city center. We had the most quiet room, other rooms are on the noisy street side. Breakfast basic, but for the price quite good.
Cons: The hotel is on a busy street. As there is no airco, you need to open the window for some fresh air. Our room was terribly hot and noisy, so we asked and got the room om the more quite side. This was much better and we had a good sleep. The hotel is in the close vicinity of the railway station. For us, it was a stop over on our trip to Spain. I would not pick this hotel again.

Much you can bearly open it. Carpet dirty. Etc etc. Staff speaks only French. I know is France but come on.... Light on corridor starts after 5 sec crowling in darkness to knowwhere. Shower is so small that the curtains glue to the back when you try to use it. Towels rail hanging half way from the wall. I did expect something different for 50 euros..... honestly Sorry guys long way to go to improve that.....

Cons: As we were there for one Sunday night in September the staff could have offered to find us a restaurant to eat in as it was very quiet in Limoges and a lot of places shut. We did eventually find some food but some advice would have been helpful.

Room was lovely - a nice compact size with a lovely comfortable bed. Shutters blocked out light and ensured a good sleep. The area was very quiet, despite being about 10 mins walk from the centre of town and 4 mins from the railway station. Free WiFi. Breakfast was basic but typically French in nature - croissant, baguette, jam, yoghurt, tea, coffee and chocolate. The lady owner was very keen to ensure that I had had enough when I got up to leave the dining room which was lovely. They looked after my bags for two days - the days before my stay and after.

Pros: We stayed in Ibis budget. The rooms were clean but not very big. However we were only sleeping in them so were perfectly adequate.Would stay again. Staff were great and spoke perfect English if needed.

Pros: The staff on duty the following morning were a complete contrast. Responded in full to our queries. They were open and friendly. Very supportive of our needs. Excellent service.
Cons: The staff on duty the evening we arrived were not customer focussed. They were not at all helpful and their manner was exceptionally rude and obnoxious. Dreadful service.

Pros: If you need a place to stop the night before continuing a journey on the train, this is a good option. The room was simple, but clean and cozy.
Cons: I cracked my window at night for fresh air but someone two floors below was smoking out of their window so the smell entered my room. I assumed the hotel would be non-smoking. Maybe you need to be specific about being in a non-smoking room if this is important for you.

Cons: Remoteness of hotel to centre. No remote for aircon. So had to leave window open in rainy and windy conditions. Poor menu.

Pros: Easy access to the train station. Great kebab place minutes away selling fantastic middle eastern food. Easy to find, park (€7.50) per day and quick to leave limoges to explore the countryside. Will need to return as I had no idea Limoges had so much to offer and so easy to explore surrounding areas.

Pros: This hotel was ideal for our purposes, a short stop-over following our arrival into France and before we went on our tour of the country. We had a taxi from the airport so we were at the hotel quite early. This did not faze the staff, however, and they let us leave our luggage in a locked room until later. The room was comfortable with a kettle which was great. We could walk into both areas of old town including the cathedral and the river bank walks. We loved the historical town with lots to draw our attention.

Cons: The hallway and bedroom was very disappointing. The room and bed were small and the whole thing looked tired and in need of updating. The bedrooms shown in photos did not compare. The shower was particularly in need of upgrading.

Pros: It is difficult to find a positive, except for the staff, they were very pleasant and told me they would support a refund for the second night if you approve.
Cons: The place was not what the pictures illustrated. The room had a foul smell, probably coming from the carpet which was old and dirty. The bathroom was small and the shower had nothing to stop water from going all over the floor. I am asthmatic and had a great deal of difficulty breathing there. When we opened the window to get air in, cigarette smoke came in from the alley under our window; appears to be where local youth congregate. The locale, although close to the train station, was not near many restaurants, was in a run down area.
