Pros: Nice clean Hotel helpful staff
Cons: No Restaurant
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were a good size and it was close to the town centre.
Cons: A bar lounge would have been good - there was a little bar but it wasn’t inviting (or used).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and tidy nice continental breakfast great and polite front of house staff. Clean spotless rooms
Cons: Rooms too warm and air con too noisy no parking unless you’ve not reserved it in advance. A little too far from the centre of village.

Pros: Clean hotel rooms with a beautiful veranda, option for breakfast in bed
Cons: Parking arrangements at the hotel were a nightmare
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was located just over 5 minutes from the town center, so we literally walked to everywhere. The room was nice size with bathtub, also equipped with mini fridge, espresso maker, nice ranges of tea of Palais des Thés. The breakfast was abundant but not pretentious and attractive. I enjoyed regional delicacy such as chestnut honey and hazelnut cake. When we were leaving, we found one of staff had cleaned the front glass of our car which was really thoughtful and nice gesture ! Will be very happy to go back.
Cons: The water pressure of the shower was rather weak, so it took longer to finish it. I found the light in the bathroom was exceptionally bright, and it was facing our bedroom. So my partner found it difficult to sleep while l was using it, and l had to use my torchlight not to disturb him !

4.2 Okay
Cons: Not the first time I stay in hotels of this chain, but this hotel just disappointed me! I don’t want to describe all the inconveniences that I experienced there, but one thing just made me angry and made me very nervous! The booking says that the eviction was before 12:00, but already at 11:20 (at the same time I was in the shower) they started knocking on the door, and they didn’t act on all my answers that I take a shower !!! As a result, they opened the door themselves, and all my attempts to prove that the eviction before 12:00 did not work !!!! I was practically pushed out of my room, trying to prove that the eviction was before 11:30! I ask the hotel administration to read their check-in / check-out instructions again!!!!!!
8.8 Excellent

7.9 Good
Pros: Budget accommodation but done well. Our stay was in a period of record heat but the air-con worked effectively. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was fine and reasonably priced and the scrambled egg good. There's a bar and food is available though we only used the bar.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant central hotel. Very clean and helpful staff with very good English, will stay at their chain of hotel again

Cons: WiFi not working properly, staff not very friendly
5.8 Okay
Pros: It was clean
Cons: The camp bed
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, the staff were very helpful.
Cons: Breakfast was not good. Fruit salad was a little tired looking. Not much choice. Coffee was terrible.
7.1 Good
Pros: We didn’t have breakfast as we were leaving early but it looked delicious
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We were very happy with the location and that it had air conditioning when it was 32! It was an easy walk from the SNCF train station. It was close to Royal Limoge factory too! The staff were great and our room was very comfortable. It was great being able to eat at the restaurant too!
Cons: Our room didn’t have block our curtains and the windows weren’t double glazed. I could hear the announcements from the station in the room and the lights outside were very bright until midnight.
Hôtel Les Bénédictins - Limoges - Building
9
8.5 Excellent (176 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hôtel Les Bénédictins in Limoges, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Musee National Adrien Dubouche and Church of St-Michel-des-Lions. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Limited parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great little hotel right by the train station. Nice clean room and good shower.
Cons: No aircon but room wasn't too hot in very hot weather.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was a little basic. But only 7e
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was clean and comfortable with basic facilities for drinks and a good buffet breakfast. I particularly liked the location which was very near the station for my ongoing journey and it was great to have a beer on arrival in their cool courtyard. The proprietor did not speak much English but was very kind and helpful and kept my bag for me until my afternoon train on Saturday while I explored Limoges. Worth others noting - Limoges station has no left luggage facilities!
Cons: No air conditioning but at that price I wouldn't necessarily expect it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very conveniently situated and easy to find, the staff were really kind and helpful and the room was well-set up and spotlessly clean. We were able to leave our bikes securely locked in a courtyard. The manager is really friendly and helpful.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was great value and the location was excellent; right next to a beautiful park with fountains and people dancing, and then streets with restaurants going towards the old town.
Cons: For the price I have no complaints. It wasn't as salubrious as the Mercure where we stayed before but we want to rate this place well :-)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Well located within easy walk of the station and ideal for moving on next day - room basic but comfortable for overnight stay
7.5 Good
Pros: I liked that the room was big, warm enough, the bed was comfortable, and fairly quiet. Wifi fine. Everything was reasonably modern and worked well. On the other hand I found nothing to eat in the vicinity in the evening, or the next morning! The area felt unsafe. Not the hotel's fault! The hotel had no reception though, it is basically hotel rooms above a cafe / betting shop / bar. You go to the bar / shop to get the room key and then you are on your own. I liked quirky Limoges.
Cons: Room was a bit stuffy, and windows couldn't really be left open due to noise.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good price quality ratio. Close to city center. We had the most quiet room, other rooms are on the noisy street side. Breakfast basic, but for the price quite good.
Cons: The hotel is on a busy street. As there is no airco, you need to open the window for some fresh air. Our room was terribly hot and noisy, so we asked and got the room om the more quite side. This was much better and we had a good sleep. The hotel is in the close vicinity of the railway station. For us, it was a stop over on our trip to Spain. I would not pick this hotel again.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing , dark, stuffy, no clean air place
Cons: No a/c when outside +31 C, even windows do not open, unfriendly owner of the hotel is the only staff, walls are paper thin you can hear everything next door, no hooks in the bathroom, dark stain littered carpet on the floor that stinks
5.0 Okay
Pros: Cleanliness. New taps in all this mess make a nice different.
Cons: I have no idea where this 8,5 score comes from? New towels through out on bathroom floor. Soap dispensers empty, colors of the bathroom and woodwork from 70tiies. Door you h the carpet so. Much you can bearly open it. Carpet dirty. Etc etc. Staff speaks only French. I know is France but come on.... Light on corridor starts after 5 sec crowling in darkness to knowwhere. Shower is so small that the curtains glue to the back when you try to use it. Towels rail hanging half way from the wall. I did expect something different for 50 euros..... honestly Sorry guys long way to go to improve that.....

7.9 Good
Pros: Good value accommodation and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful
Cons: The breakfast egg mush is terrible - plastic artificial garbage. Suggest your raise the price of the breakfast a dollar and provide some real eggs. If fact, I would choose an Ibis hotel over B&B just because of the hideous egg mush breakfast. You really should consider getting rid of this breakfast mush - seriously. It might save a few pennies, but will cost you in the long run.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: power shower was amazing, Staff very helpful and friendly
Cons: With all the pictures of breakfast thought it was included, should have looked closer, room was small like Ibis ones, no kettle in room but a good vending machine in foyer.

Cons: The staff are great. Very helpful. Lovely place
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, good sheets, clean. Excellent for a quick stop. Restaurants next door to choose from. Breadfast was OK. Scrambled eggs as hot option (no bacon or sausages) but lots of bread, croissants jams, fruit yogurts.
Cons: I felt the room smelt of cigarette smoke (very subtle) but dreamt I was in an ashtray!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Simple, clean and comfortable. Definitely a great value.
Cons: Checking in after 5 PM is a bit challenging. Requires parking off site and checking in via computer type system next to front door. Easier than one thinks, but prefer a person to check in.

Pros: Room was ok. Clean
Cons: Restaurant left a bit to be desired
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was very agreeable situated close to the hotel and parking. General cleanliness was good.
Cons: The parking access was very blocked by cycling company's heavy vehicules with bicycles, cables, hosepipes spread dangerously around. Personnel were blocking access servicing and cleaning bicycles with corresponding noise until 9pm. This situation discouraged us from taking any meals with the hotel. No toiletries were provided and the soap sachet in the shower was missing. Paper cups for tea are unpleasant.

5.4 Okay
Pros: Owners were friendly. OK if one spoke French, so OK for us. B/fast a little dear!
Cons: Happy with initial stay in ywo bedded room. However made booking to return 4 days later for same. However offered one bedded room. had to move elsewhere at additional cost
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really friendly, despite not being able to speak any English. My schoolboy French is disasterously bad, but we persevered, had a laugh and everything went fine. Room was lovely - a nice compact size with a lovely comfortable bed. Shutters blocked out light and ensured a good sleep. The area was very quiet, despite being about 10 mins walk from the centre of town and 4 mins from the railway station. Free WiFi. Breakfast was basic but typically French in nature - croissant, baguette, jam, yoghurt, tea, coffee and chocolate. The lady owner was very keen to ensure that I had had enough when I got up to leave the dining room which was lovely. They looked after my bags for two days - the days before my stay and after.
Cons:
6.8 Good
Pros: Very warm and professional welcome; nice decor (wallpaper tasteful, plants effectively used); personal attention to needs of our children (orange juice instead of coffee); information on where to eat and map given with information on location of restaurants. Excellent customer service and attractive lobby.
Cons: Ensuite to the room was very small; location was poor without secure parking (car was left parked in road still containing most of our luggage not needed for an overnight stay).

Pros: Very quiet due to double glazing Clean bathroom and great shower Nice little hotel for an overnight stay Rack for the suitcase Were given a town map Had air con but we didn't need it Kettle in the room - asked for a 2nd mug which was provided along with more tea bags and sugar
Cons: It was raining - not the hotel's fault :-)
5.0 Okay
Pros: The hotel was cheap, but you get what you pay for. The room was a good size with a little balcony (not big enough to sit out on) and triple glazing prevented any road noise. There was a small lift.
Cons: Outdated decor in our room and common parts (not sure if other rooms have been refurb'd - if not, they need to be!). The chain on the room door was broken and housekeeping came into the room at 9.30 (check out 11am) without knocking. Car Park needed to be pre-booked at an additional cost which we didn't know, so we didn't get a very warm welcome on arrival. It's a good 20 minute walk into the old town and there didn't seem to be anywhere local for breakfast/meals/drinks nearby although there was a shopping centre just across the road.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, secure parking under ground. Room clean with well m maintained bathroom. Great value for money. Didn't have breakfast- good restaurants in short walking distance.Small balcony which looked onto street.
Cons: Great value- hotel as expected with nice people in charge. No complaints.

Pros: Aircon great; double-patio doors created excellent sound insulation, which helped as our room was overlooking the main road, but it was really quiet. Love the tiny lift!

Pros: We only had a stopover in Limoges on a Sunday evening and the hotel has a good position in the city centre with a public car park underneath. A typical chain hotel.
Cons: As we were there for one Sunday night in September the staff could have offered to find us a restaurant to eat in as it was very quiet in Limoges and a lot of places shut. We did eventually find some food but some advice would have been helpful.

Cons: The lift was a little temperamental. Got stuck in there for about 30 seconds. The Missus was not impressed.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is perfect, close to everything. Breakfast was great.
Cons: The room was okay. But the curtains were a flimsy, transparent material so you can never have a dark room, considering that the windows take over one whole wall. Pillows were too high, more like a square cushion. Not very comfy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Staff were very good, went out of the normal to help us to make our stay more special on our tour of Europe. Breakfast was excellent, all we needed for our long travel back to the ferry port.

Pros: We had a parking spot. We could walk to the museums and Cathedral
Cons: We had to try four rooms: one up steps, one down steps, one miniscule WITHOUT a toilet door and finally an adequate room except the toilet room was so small you hit your knees when y you closed the door.the sink leaked into the lower drawer of the cabinet. The window needs sheers to afford some privacy. Second worst in our two months in France.. (The worst, with dirty underwear beneath the bed in Beaune).
