Myself and my two young grandchildren stayed one night so as to catch the early morning ferry to England. The hotel was very close to the ferry port, which as a foreigner I welcomed.
We arrived and stayed overnight on a Sunday. Regretably most of Le Havre was closed. This included the restaurants and cafes. I had to drive my young children quite distance out of Le Havre to find food for them. It would have been much better if Les Gens de Mer had been able to provide us with a meal.
MY Honest opinion is : Staff was really friendly....location was amazing...pillow & bed was awesome:). Good people with good service make your day. So this hotel would definitely be my only choice when i go to Le-Havre again
No complaints at all
Free WiFi on groundfloor. Nice location, perfectly inbetween beach and city centre.
The room we got was old, dirty and very smelly. We went to the reception and they gave us another room. The hotel is very old and really needs a big renovation. In the bar, nearly all the seats were raptured. In our second room, the lamination was broken. It all looks very tired, and priorities aren't right. A new tap and a new showerbath, but all the old waterpipes are still there. It all needs a new floor coating and a new wall covering, but they choose to invest in flatscreens (they installed them when we slept there: early in the morning in the room next to us with a huge drill!). I really don't understand. When we checked out, there was a misunderstanding and I asked some questions. The receptionist went mad and wasn't friendly at all!
quite reasonable price.
breakfast was poor
The hotel was conviently located in Le Havre and it had a private car park.
The rooms were looking tired and were in need of redecorating but were clean and comfortable.
comfortable and I really liked the smell of linen, smelled like home...
The beds were comfortable and the food good. .
The shower bracket was broken which meant the shower had to be held in the hand and the curtains did not close correctly which let the light into the room
convience,locality,easy booking in,tidy clean room/late bar service
cost, expensive local beer, no tea/coffee making faciltys, charge for scooter parkin
Staff were very helpful and the bar opened late
No shower over the bath, only a hand held shower
Kind hotel staff at front desk.
Martime theme all through the hotel makes it look very cheap.
