The food was delicious. The breakfast buffet big enough to eat every day something different. The view, nature, the location. The resort is a great place to relax, enjoying nature, the beach or the pool. The Thai restaurant is the best. The hotel staff in the entire resort is very friendly. Birds, monkeys, otters etc...a lot to see. The main attraction of the island is close by one can even enjoy a walk through some off beaten paths to the waterfall close by. Close to the waterfall are locals offering cheap and delicious food! A big portion of Nasi Goreng with chicken incl. drink for 1.90€
The prices of the food in the resort are too high. The hotel is very aware that walking to the next restaurant in the evening is too far. So the prices of the food in the restaurant are too high. Expect to spend at least 20€ per night per person. The buffet in the restaurant where breakfast is served is around 30€ per person! The Chinese restaurant is more or less the cheapest option.
Friendly staff, beautiful location, generous buffet breakfast.
Mattresses quite hard, rooms a little outdated, Thai restaurant food was ok but nothing special and you can get better food in the town.
The location was amazing, the shuttle bus a real bonus, the beach was beautiful, the activity staff so friendly and helpful and the free nature walk so interesting.
Two cockroaches in our room, couldn’t really go on the balcony for fear of monkeys and mosquitos.
Location was fantastic. Food served at restaurant was excellent. Staff amazing
Hotel look, feel and facilities are great. Amazing to be in the jungle and on the beach within the hotel.
Service and dietary requirements let’s it down. When visiting a 5* hotel you expect to be able to have milk and gluten alternatives along with a good beach and pool bar/restaurant service. These areas were always under staffed and one day it took over 2 hours to pay a bill using the card machine.
The Berjaya Langkawi Resort is a unique and rare find. It sits at the edge of a rainforest in the Pantai Kok area of Malaysia. Yet, it is also a waterfront property that includes accommodations that are entirely over the water, with others tucked into the edges of the forest itself. Only a short walk from the Langkawi Cable Car and less than 1.5 miles to the Seven Wells Waterfall, it is a destination of its own. Yet, visitors will find attractions like Oriental Village, the Langkawi Sky Bridge, Telaga Harbour, Sungai Kilim Nature Park, and the Langkawi Bird Paradise all within a few miles of the property.
For those who wish to make their accommodation their destination, this five-star property makes it easy. Travelers will find such amenities as a full business service center, currency exchange, laundry, childcare, shuttles, car rentals, parking, a full gift shop, a stunning swimming pool with islands and bridges, a full-service spa, many outdoor activities (including archery, cycling, volleyball, water sports, fishing, touring and trekking and more), and four separate restaurants along with one lounge, two bars and a single sports bar.
The accommodations range from studios and chalets to over the water bungalows. All of the rooms are beautifully designed and feature native materials, outdoor living spaces, premium bedding and linens, signature toiletries, free Wi-Fi, entertainment systems, mini-bars, and more.
When looking for a luxurious getaway in a nearly unbelievable setting, and one with lots of things to do, the Berjaya Langkawi Resort in Malaysia is a good choice.
