Pros: Nice, central hotel with enough space for the four of us in the room (the hotel helped me pick the right room to fit our kids - they were quick to get back to me on my messages). The breakfast was very good, and could be eaten outside on the rooftop terrace, we braved the not-so-nice weather because the view was gorgeous. Very friendly and attentive staff, both during booking, breakfast and when checking in/out. I'd definitely stay here again.
Cons: There's no parking at the hotel, but the hotel did provide a list of suggestions for where we could park.

Pros: The hotel was close by to the city. Easy to travel via bus or car. Bus stop about 50 meters away. Local market right down the street. They accepted pets and had parking for both my wife and I. Local restaurants were delicious. Morning breakfast was my favorite part with great service. Hotel gave us good suggestions to visit the sites near by. Would recommend to anyone looking to enjoy the area for a nice 4 weekend gateway.

Pros: Me and my girlfriend arrived with our German Shepherd Fiona and this was our dog's first hotel night and restaurant evening and we have only good things to say, the staff at the hotel and in the restaurant was very nice and made this a memorable stay

Pros: A very nice little hotel with all facilities you need. Even though an older hotel, it was modern and convenient and partly renovated just a few years ago. USB socket for loading of the mobile phone in the room was practical. Parking in the garden (even though not many spaces).
Cons: There were only very softly boiled eggs on the breakfast buffet (could probably be possible to ask for a longer boiled egg). A little narrow to get into the parking area in the garden. Otherwise nothing to complain about.

Pros: The building is very interesting, the room was at the end of a corridor but was well signposted, and it was spacious with a seating area. We were staying on the 4th floor, they do have a lift which I did not expect. The staff were very helpful, especially with the parking. I had planned to use this hotel as a quick stopping point on a longer journey which is definitely an oversight. The Hotel Barbarossa offers a number of discounts on travel and activities in the city which unfortunately we couldn't take advantage of this time. This hotel offers the most extensive breakfast buffet I have seen in a long time, with free from options for bread and milk, hot and cold food, and a vast selection of teas.
Cons: The parking is a bit complicated as they have a secure car park which is a short distance away, but they are very clear about where it is and allowed us to park the car outside of the hotel to unload our luggage before checking in, so they are very accommodating of this.

Pros: Historic building located in a residential area just a few minutes walk for the water's edge and the centre of Konstanz. Hotel has its own car park, so parking easy. Staff on reception friendly. Rooms were huge and clean and comfortable. Went to restaurant recommended and had a good meal.

Cons: Others said that the breakfast was ‘great’ but it was really just very average and some of the food tasted quite cheaply bought. Got this feeling about most of the facilities and for that reason think was a bit over priced. There was nothing wrong per say, but the little free extras you normally get (bottled water, sweets, soap etc.) in addition to the non-homely feel of the place made it feel a bit sterile and not comfortable. In addition, both nights we stayed there were loud people shouting outside hanging around in the car park in the early hours of the morning.

Pros: Great location, we enjoyed the walks in Konstanz. The breakfast was AMAZING and we were served earlier due to our early checkout. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious and comfortable with kettle and tea table. And Switzerland is just around the corner :)
Cons: - no elevator (though I didn't find it to be a problem) - unfortunately no parking facilities and the cheaper option suggested by staff was the time based open which was supposed to be renewed at midnight (?!). The nearby multilevel parkings are great though

Pros: The hotel has no stars, but we believe that it could be easily ranked 3 stars+. The location is excellent, the breakfast is very healthy, the reception and restaurant service are excellent also. Our Special thanks to Mr. Mustafa Erdogmus，the manager of the hotel who kindly upgraded our room without additional cost, and he is very kind also to help us with our luggage for check in and check out, as well as provided us with very useful information to facilitate our visit.

Pros: We wanted to spend all of our time there it was so beautiful and serene! It overlooks the lake with outdoor sitting for dining or having a drink. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and the bedding is comfortable. We had a nice view of the lake from our windows. We had to leave before breakfast but I’m sure it was wonderful after having eaten dinner there. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Pros: A lovely hotel. We had booked the suite, which was huge and had a spacious and comfortable seating area as well as a very large bed. The bathroom was glorious with a fantastic shower, soft towels and lovely toiletries. We enjoyed a plentiful breakfast in the hotel each morning and there is a good choice of restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel itself is well situated for the passenger ferry crossing to Uberlingen, a lovely town on the opposite side of the lake. We were given helpful hints about where to go and what to see in the area from the hotel owner, who was friendly, charming and gracious. Everything in the hotel is of good quality and the owner has obviously taken a lot of trouble to create a relaxing yet luxurious ambience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this gem of a hotel.

Pros: The hotel is a converted "boat shed", but has been converted to a very high standard, so it's spacious, clean and has a modern, quality feel. We were met by a chap who didn't speak great English, but it was better than my German and he really made an effort, so we were able to communicate fine. We arrived fairly late, but he showed us somewhere secure to park the motorcycles and booked us a table at a restaurant a few doors away. Our host was there again in the morning tending the breakfast buffet for visitors and cheerful as ever! The breakfast was very good too.

Pros: Located was good for us, as I had a meeting next morning just over the street. Parking was free, that alone may be a reason for some people to come here (at city center it was really difficult to find any parking places).

Pros: Easy parking and a warm welcome. Our room (26) was in the annexe and seemed to have been residential apartments prior. That is to say we had a large room for our stay with a small balcony (not lake view). The reception staff were eager to help. I only saw the wellness area as we left but would have liked to use the gym. Fab to have a free bus ticket to Konstanz so we left the car behind for a day. We took a boat to Meersburg - highly recommend for wine tasting but don’t bother with the castle. The Zeppelin Museum is something else and well worth half an hour. I would go to the top of the town for the best places to eat and drink unless you have to have a sea view. Enjoy!
Cons: The breakfast was a bit manic in terms of lots of people trying to use the buffet at once. Of an evening, everything was quiet - i.e. there is not a late night vibe and bar.

Cons: This is the second time I have stayed. While the management has improved greatly since I was last there, the comfort has not. The room seemed much smaller than the one I was given last time, and the bed was very short. I am not especially tall (179cm), but my feet were crushed up against the bedstead so I ended up with them hanging over the side.

Pros: the room was clean. the shared toilet was clean all the time (i thought sharing toilet will be annoying, it wasn't). the crew was nice. apparently- tourists (in Konstanz) have to pay daily for a city ticket, so getting everywhere with the bus was easy.
Cons: i took a "budget" room, so the room was at the top floor, everything was fine. but there was one thing that bugged me: the room had a roof angle above the bed. it may not disturb everyone, but i found it not comfortable.

Pros: It was my daughter's favorite breakfast while we were in Europe. Very good croissants and coffee, as well as the meats, cheeses, and breads, etc. Hot water for the shower. Nice view of the sunset.
Cons: Was quite a walk to get to and from the train station, had to walk across a bridge, but it was a cool bridge, so that was actually a good time.

Pros: The staff was really friendly, they made our stay easy. The nearest spot to swim in the lake is only 2 minutes by feet, as well as the next bus station to go to the city. The hotel also provided free bus tickets for our whole stay.

Pros: The hotel has a very nice old time charm, but fully renovated of course. The beds were super comfy and the breakfast rich- even for vegetarians. ( The Breakfast floor manager was one of the kindest woman I met in a long time but the full staff was precise and helpful) I loved the sauna and the location above all! For Konstanz it’s a great money-value option!
Cons: There is just a fan in the room no AC, summer might be tricky here!

Pros: Located directly opposite to the train station, you won't miss it. Building itself is old but very well-maintained. Room was spacious. Gorgeous bathroom, and amenities (Rituals) were nice. Complimentary welcome drink was a nice touch at the arrival.
Cons: Mattress was slightly too soft - to each his own though. Room was a little dark due to type of light bulbs.

Pros: Fantastic breakfast! Don't even consider going anywhere else. The bathtub was also long and wide enough to be very comfortable after many hours of walking around the lake and returning with sore feet. The bed was comfortable with quality linen. Everything was very clean and like new inside. From outside the hotel retains its original charm as do the reception area and breakfast room. A lovely place I will stay at again, for sure!
