Cons: During heat wave we discovered our AC wasn't working. The hotel was apparently "sold out" so we couldn't move rooms but seemed like no one else was around. When a front desk staff came as the "technician" they flipped the switch a few times and send they would send for a real technician. After waiting over and hour we went passed the front desk and inquired only to be told there was nothing they could do. Would have been nice to be notified. Being on the top floor, while providing a nice view, was unbearably hot. Didn't sleep a wink. Was not compensated.

Pros: Daugirdas Hotel has a very good reputation in Kaunas city. I was here a few years ago when I visited the hotel for the dinner in the dark experience. The hotel is in the heart of Kaunas old town, so you can walk to the main attractions with no issue. What I particularly liked about this hotel was the breakfast which I can rate 10/10. Good choice of cold and warm dishes! The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Cons: When we booked the room, we specified that's 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 small kids. On arrival we were told we will have to pay 25 euros for each extra "bed". wasn't happy at all. SO they put us in a bigger room with a corner sofa where kids slept very uncomfortably.

Cons: Hotel needs renovation but I understand that it is very long and expensive project. However for a 4-star hotel the elevator, the bathroom, the bed, furniture is poor. But what really disappointed me is that there was no even small bottle of water in the room, and the mini-bar was empty (you need to contact reception in order to get smth) whicj I think is very inconvenient.

Pros: Hotel is very well located in Kaunas old town. Right around the corner from all the better bars and restaurants in Kaunas, and in the most attractive part of the city. But far enough away that its still pretty quiet there at night.
Room was large and comfortable. I got a suite for a really good price - two large rooms and a large comfortable bathroom.
Staff is very nice and helpful. I checked out in the middle of the night and they had a packed lunch for me - which is a nice touch.

Cons: Staff was slow and not always helpful. Restaurant has 1 vegetarian option and I would not recommend it. Breakfast lacked 3 announced dishes. It was super cold in the room (staff forgot to turn on the heating). No elevator.

Pros: The Hotel was very clean and our room was bigger than I expected, Front desk manager Miss.JUSTINA, she was very kind and helpful. she did answers and inform me about times and how to reach the train's station, and she also did help me to find some stuff for my extra luggage! I believe she deserves to be in higher positions.

Cons: It wasn't very clean, few towels were dirty when we came. Bathroom had unpleasant smell which reminded us of mold smell. Also, water both in sink and shower took quite some time to warm up. Everything else was fine.

Cons: The approach through derelict and run down buildings was not a good start. It was impossible to control the heat in the room for a good sleeping atmosphere (we stayed in January) and the beds did not provide a good surface on which to get a good nights sleep. The bathroom was tired and in urgent need of an update. The breakfast offer was poor in quality and options.
