Best Baltic Kaunas Hotel

Location was perfect for me. Huge shopping mall was just at walking distance. University of health science @2 minutes walking distance. City Buss stop 1 minute walk. Staff was very helpful. Clean and quite. Breakfast was acceptable, will definitely book again.

This is an absolutely delightful hotel and I was treated very well from arrival to check-out. The hotel's restaurant is excellent - I had dinner (very reasonably-priced) and breakfast here and thoroughly enjoyed both. My room was spacious and comfortable; clearly some thought had gone into the design and layout of the room and bathroom. I had a very good night's sleep. The location is good given that Kaunas is one of those cities where it's difficult to pin down where the "centre" actually is. It's about fifteen minutes' walk from the bus station, slightly further from the railway station, but very close to the nightlife around Laisves aleja and only five minutes walk from the funicular ride up the Zaliakalnis hill (the view from the top is worth it). There's a lovely little bar called "Baking Mad" next door to the hotel. I'll certainly stay here again if I return to Kaunas.

I can't think of much to complain about here. Perhaps my biggest gripe is that I couldn't have stayed longer in Kaunas! If anyone from the Kaunas transport authority reads this - given that Kaunas is going to be Capital of Culture in 2022 - you MUST improve the quality of your public transport information!!
