The Hostel is located perfectly, just a short walk away from Jerusalems Old City. Plus the staff is super friendly and helpful. Besides of that it´s a place to stay over night, nothing more, nothing less.
The bathroom"door". Bathroom was tiny and after a shower the whole room was wet.
Great location & rooftop, friendly staff :)
The location was truly out of this world. Once we were able to find parking (not an easy task in Jerusalem, but something that they had warned us about in our booking email), the walk to the hostel was great. The pedestrian corridor on which the hostel sits is fantastic. The breakfast was also delicious and generous, as was the free coffee/tea service available during the day.
Getting into the hostel was a bit of a comedy of errors. There are two locations, building 40 and building 44, and the sign on one told us to go to the other (which was locked) for check-in/reception. They are in the process of a large renovation, so the breakfast is a couple buildings away in another area. To get to the breakfast on the roof (which unfortunately was very rainy and cold despite being in a semi-enclosed tent area), you had to go through a construction area (not a huge deal), but also an area that smelled disgustingly of cat urine. It was enough to turn my stomach en route to what was a chilly but delicious breakfast. We were also given a room that had not been cleaned, but the staff was able to remedy that within about 20-30 minutes.
Good location, easy to get from/to central bus station by L1 tram and a relatively short walk to the old city. Nice coffee/tea facility on the top floor where you can sit on the roof terrace. Very nice and helpful hosts at the reception.
The towel was with a huge hole. I wonder how they are not ashamed to offer such poor towels to their guests, which should have been binned long time ago. There should be small towels for hands as well. I didn’t like the requirement to wash the plates after the breakfast. It’s not something what tourists coming on holiday want to do.
Good location. Photos gave a false image of what the rooms were like. Old and run down. Hairs in shower that were not ours. Terrible selection at breakfast. Uncomfortable bed with aged bedding. Old carpet in room. Smelly bathroom, stagnant water smell.
