Cons: Very old rooms that don’t leave to our expectations based on the photos on booking.com. The hotel looks old inside, it is partly renovated and you can get an old room for this price, which is a bad surprise and the hotel doesn’t inform of this in advance. The gym was extremely old and quite dirty, some equipment wasn’t mounted properly which could be dangerous during the work out. The breakfast was quite limited and the overall choice and service could be significantly improved. The SPA was a bit overpriced compared to other SPAs in 5* Swiss (better) hotels we stayed during this trip. To be honest, this was the worst 5* hotel we’ve ever stayed in any county and we won’t recommend it unless the hotel is significantly renovated.

Pros: This place was great! Very clean, very modern hostel. I didn't expect it to be so modern actually.. the rooms were very spacious, very comfortable. Showers were great, instant hot water.. Lots of places to put your stuff around, like a table (if you need to do work on laptop), window seat, cabinets, bedside table, etc. There's free breakfast too and I guess some of it is catered for Asians like us because there was rice and miso soup LOL. Anyway, great place and super convenient. Literally right beside the train station, took like 1-2 minutes to get there. And sooo convenient because it's so central, and there's a huge COOP Supermarket across the hotel which was super useful. Great staying at the Interlaken Ost station because that's direct to other cities and also Jungfraujoch.

Pros: Actually I didnt expect this hostel. But the location is just next to the station! It was really easy to move in-out! Also breakfast was really various and fresh things! I satisfied with it! And receptionists are really beautiful and kind :-) they always helped what Im asking. The last one, when I checked out I could get a chocolate packed like a ladybug. But the chief man(?) admitted me to take two and added “only for you” 심쿵 >_< The words make me funny and happy Thanks for your gentle and considerate mention :-) Anyway It was the perfect place :-)

Cons: There needs to be a sign put on the door of each room & a warning at reception that people staying in dorms should be considerate to others. The 2 Korean women in our room unpacked all their bags & spread their contents all over the small table, all along the window sill & all over the sink area. There was no room left for the other 2 people to put anything.

Pros: Interlaken is beautiful, the hostel was beautiful, the staff was perfect and all the guests a really good people. The hostel has amazing areas with many musical instruments and lots of information about the town and its activities.
Cons: In my experience, I think that Switzerland is quite expensive and the people are quite cold and serious. But it wasn't a surprise for me as I was advised, so it's fine. Sinks, showers, and toilets out of the room.

Cons: The couch at fire place if a bit static electrical loaded. Every time I sit there for a while my hairs go sit up all straight and when I touch something I get a shock. Was sitting at the same couch and later on I got a few flee or bed bug bites. I'm allergic. At this time no allergic reaction yet but I did had spots and it was itchy. Mention to women at reception and I've got told to see a doctor.

Cons: There are a number of restrictions such as not being allowed to bring food to the room, maintaining the utmost cleanliness otherwise there is the risk of being charged! There was only a coffee machine in the room, no tea making facilities. We would have preferred a kettle! The room and bathroom were smaller than expected but did the job for 2 nights. Bit expensive for what it was but it is Interlaken!

It has a bar that looks very traditionally Swiss with pine chairs and Swiss flags as decor, but it doubles as an Irish pub. What's that all about? It's incoherent. There was also some disco and dance bar that I haven't checked out. It's all very confusing. This place can do a lot better with what they have.
