Pros:We were staying for only 2 days between flying in from Thailand and home to Boston. The location is only 3.5 miles from LAX, which made it convenient.
Cons:Other than the location, everything could have been better. We booked on booking.com, and when we arrived at LAX, it was about 1115pm, so when we set the booking, we thought it was for that day. We were tired, so didn't notice that the booking was actually for the next day. The front desk agent said he could not move the booking, so we paid more for the room we got. We have a business, and it was obvious to us that in that situation, we would have honored the booking. By not honoring the booking, they lost any chance at future business from us because we saw the greed in what they did. They just saw us as an ATM machine, not as people. The guy was very robotic in the way he spoke to us. We pay attention to these things because we have a business. They did the same thing for the second day we stayed. Completely cold. Shortly after entering the room, we saw bugs. The mattress on the bed sagged in the middle and probably should have been changed 10 years ago. It was very loud in the hotel. The housekeeping staff would yell to each other, and people seemed to see how hard they could slam the doors instead of being respectful and closing them quietly, although this last item is not the fault of the hotel. I called the front desk the night before checking out to order a taxi for the morning, and instead of doing it, they told me to wait until the morning. To summarize, we never had the feeling of being valued, but felt like they just wanted to take our money and have us leave.
