9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff courteous and friendly
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Accommodations and staff were wonderful
Cons: Although breakfasts were also superb, the menu for other meals was the same for each lunch and dinner.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was only one night, so we didn't have as much time as we would have liked to enjoy the hotel. We did stop by the bar to sample schnapps, and your bartender is exceptionally engaging and responsive. We truly enjoyed his company and drink recommendations. Your valet is also very professional and considerate, and we appreciated his locating our vehicle right outside the front door. We also appreciated the early morning coffee delivery as we packed for our trip back to California.
Cons: It would have been appreciated if in addition to the tea service there was also coffee service in the room. In fact, I can't recall the last time we stayed in any hotel that didn't include in-room coffee service.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Too old and the air conditioner was not good at all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is how a hotel should be run. Stylish, effortless, friendly service in a stunningly decorated privately owned hotel with gorgeously decorated rooms. You can tell the staff who are amazing are all happy in their jobs and nothing seems too much trouble - this is so hard to find in many hotels. We were extremely lucky as we got one of the best rooms in our class of rooms by happy accident. Gorgeous enormous beds, highest quality linen, big fluffy towels and bathrobes, sumptuous furnishings and plenty of mirror lined wardrobes. The double door into our room meant you could not hear the people walking down our corridor and staff could leave things in the inner section without coming into the room. Gorgeous touches such as the many stunning fresh flowers throughout the hotel, in our bathroom, the eclectic unique yet welcoming decor in the bar lounge area..close to the reception but a gorgeous salon. The breakfast room down a few steps was a delight. Filled with sparkling white linen, the room was filled with the heady scent from the fresh lilies as part of simple table decorations. Wow, just wow! This is a must if your budget allows - we certainly plan to come back many times! And I had the pleasure of greeting the amazing Frau Sylvia von Kretschmann the MD-owner (together with her daughter Dr Caroline v-K..and she was checking a display - hands on what needs to be done. Their promotional material says "5 Star" YES, "Attention to Detail", "Perfection" YES "WE love what we Do" yes "WE trust our staff" YES - they genuinely do... (For comparison: Due to lack of availability for the Friday night I had stayed around the corner and the cost of that hotel was the same with a 1/4 of the charm and style of the Hotel Europaischer Hof.)
Cons: Due to going to the thrilling German Grand Prix I sin't get a chance to use the Swimming pool and Spa...NEXT TIME!! Thank you to the team.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful
Cons: Clean comfort friendly staff

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was such an unexpected treat. The staff were attentive and the food was fantastic. The location is perfect, you can hear the river and see the castle but you are not in the hubbub. A lovely walk to town. We had a great time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Large comfortable room. Helpful staff and interesting historical building.
Cons: Doonas. We asked for and got blankets.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the eye for detail. The personalised room was a cute surprise. The 90’s laura Ashley design was lovely. Breakfast was exellent, I appreciated a lot it wasn’t a buffet. But all was offered at the table. Also gluten free bread was available on request. The dinner in the restaurant was top, great wines! Also, the menu mentioned allergenes, which was very handy as I have to eat glutzn free.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were cozy and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and it was not located to closely to any loud church ringing bells. It was near the river and easy to walk to the downtown area. We had the most amazing breakfast ever. I highly recommend spending the extra money for it.
Cons: Overall it was great. The only somewhat negative thing I could think of was that it was initially alittle confusing finding your way around and in and out of the hotel part.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our experience at this hotel was nothing short of sublime! It is nestled away in a beautiful part of Heidelberg across the river from the old town near the base of the Philosopher's Walk. It is a wonderful building full of history, character and charm. We were welcomed by our host, Alison, who was extremely and genuinely welcoming and full of wonderful stories of the history of the hotel. Her passion for the area and focus on the guests' comfort is beyond compare and made for a wonderful experience.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: When I arrived at the room and went to the bathroom I could smell the urine from the toilet. It wasn’t cleaned properly before I got there. This shouldn’t happen at a 4 star hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is amazing!!! Tons and tons of food, very friendly staff. Great location, we stayed in the 2-bedroom apartment. Perfect for our family of 4. Highly recommend to stay here. Perfect!
Cons: Only thing is make a dinner reservation at their restaurant for dinner, not a negative just an idea. We had a long travel day and would have loved to stay on property.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: beautiful old house with interesting history - that was brought up by arrival. All rooms different and decorated nicely for the old house. Breakfast - you do not want to miss it!!
Cons: The front yard parking was big stones and uneven, difficult to park a motorcycle. They had a good parking area also in back yard, wish I had known it in advance

7.0 Good
Pros: Very clean and quiet
Cons: WiFi did not work and no air conditioning
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location in a quaint corner of Neuenheim, the affluent part of Heidelberg. Very small and cozy accommodation with less than 10 rooms Friendly staff welcomes you for breakfast.
Cons: Parking is provided although a bit of a challenge. The in-room bathrooms/showers are rather special.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, close to river and city centre but VERY quiet. Nicely renovated building, with tasteful communal facilities.
Cons: Nothing. I’d happily stay again.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good location. Low cost relative to other places. I would stay here again, despite the things I didn't like.
Cons: Staff is only there in the morning at the front desk, thus it feels like a "ghost hotel", when you need service. The lighting in my room was very poor, the exhaust in the bathroom did not work. The pillow was very uncomfortable, even after I asked for a replacement. Breakfast was plentiful, but the bread was burnt on both days I was there. The bread is reheated in-house from wherever it originally came from.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel. Especially before the Christmas the feeling that you are in the fairy tale from your childhood. Room was clean and comfortable, warm, you can drink a cup of tea/coffee at night after walking, very quiet. Normal shower. And very friendly staff
Cons: Nothing. But for those who travel a lot it is good to have a shampoo, soap and other necessary accessories
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location (about 25 minutes walk to the heart of the old town), nicely decorated, clean room, good breakfast, helpful staff
Cons: Nil
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Quiet nice place, still you can walk downtown
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The old Villa and the internal design of the Villa is really great. The area around the Villa is very nice and silent. The situation of parking direct to the Villa is comfortable if not every guest arrives with a car than it could be to find a parking in another street. The staff and the breakfast is very fine. We will come back. A very special place for People who honours this.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Room was very clean, spacious and with comfortable bed and all necessary facilities. The area around hotel is very quiet but still very close to the city center. I would definitively visit this place again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sigi who manages the hotel is super friendly and helpful - thank you!

4.5 Okay
Pros: The property was very nice
Cons: We needed to extend our stay and we were promised a specific apartment. Later they gave us a different one and the excuse given was that the staff that promised us the apartment had no authority. The manager promised to fix the situation but completely ignored us
10.0 Excellent
Pros: During our stay everything was truly perfect - even exceptional. The staff are so attentive that they feel like family, but less intrusive, the décor was impeccable, the room was spot-on from an amenities, comfort and view standpoint and the location of the hotel was exactly what we wanted - not in the center of the old town but within 5 minutes walking distance over the Alt Bruck.
Cons: Everything was truly perfect.

Pros: The hotel has an amazing view over Heidelberg and includes stunning rooms and really friendly staff.
Cons: It's a little on the pricey side
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything
Cons: Parking was difficult and not included in the room rate & they didn’t understand special requests to celebrate my birthday with a bottle of wine on arrival They said it was included but it wasn’t as they thought my late checkin of 8pm was ok and that was included WT hec ?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Small but perfect for us. Great location next to the river which meant we had the pleasure of using the pedestrian bridge to get to the old town.
Cons: Because breakfast was great it’s a shame there wasn’t the equivalent for dinner at the property.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location! We had breakfast one morning and it was amazing. The room was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave great suggestions on places to dine and things to see.
Cons: The only issue we had was parking, not much parking on site. We arrived late so their parking was full, we were told you can either park on the street, which was actually very full, or park farther away in a parking garage. Thankfully we didn't mind walking and the weather was nice. I bit inconvenient and could have been handled a little more accommodating. They said no problem about parking but it was a little of a problem. We didn't let it bother us however.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfasts. Very clean and lovely room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful accommodation in the perfect part of town with exceptional staff! Will recommend to family & friends! Thank you! Danke!

Pros: Really nice building and rooms. Great breakfast
Cons: Just a replacement AC working, window had to be open to use it

Pros: Super clean, modern, well decorated. Big rooms and lovely staff. Superb quiet location right in the heart of Heidelberg

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Crean and minimalist. Really nice. Room excellent. Bed and pillow were ok. Bathroom great.
Cons: Wifi in the room and in the breakfast area was not working
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully situated in the neat village of Handschuhsheim. If you get to stay in one of the higher rooms in the main building, you’ll get to see the most beautiful sunsets from your room (over the red ceilings of the town!). Breakfast was worth it. The staff and their eagerness to help their guests is what really sets this hotel apart, and forgives sufficiently all the negative stuff I’m about to tell you. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: We stayed in the family suite which is the entire ceiling floor. So, lots of these won’t matter if you get another room. 1- Triangular ceiling. Imagine spending a week or more in rooms that have slanted walls of both sides. Good we’re not claustrophobic. 2- The worst was the slanted roof over the bathtub. Couldn’t shower standing up the entire time and I’m not that tall! Interior designer really screwed that one up.. 3- Wanted a key to lock the bathroom door from the inside, but they said they didn’t have one. Not good when you’re 4 people.

Pros: Room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Everything was ok.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The welcome was great and the staff all spoke excellent English. The hotel was very clean, bright and quiet. In particular, the air conditioning unit was a very welcome surprise, as I have been in many German hotels where there is no air conditioning. The weather was extremely hot and therefore it was great to be able to keep cool during the night.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Stylish and very clean room.
Cons: I would recommend the hotel to have someone at the reception during night hours. I experienced a terrible night since some of the guests started screaming, laughing very noisy and even playing the piano in the lobby at 3 am and I had to ask them to stop by myself in the end. This is not really acceptable for business travellers like myself.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very big room with a small kitchen (not expected). A lovely room design Spacious and grand bathroom with bathtub Provide free coffee and various kinds of tea, cakes and fruits 5-10 minutes walk to the center Very nice staff at reception during check-in Breakfast is great. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room, good and quiet location, great breakfast (they also had pancakes!)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms very modern and layout was great!
Cons: The tub could use a mat to stand on to reduce possibility of slip and fall incident on exiting it as the tub was quite deep in our room,
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Large room which slept 3 adults comfortably. Parking nearby was straightforward (cost 10€ per day). Small kitchenette which had a fridge, 2 electric rings, kettle. Just over 5 minute walk to the pedestrian street which leads to the old town and castle. Staff very friendly.
Cons: Although there was a fan in the room there was no air con, it was a very warm August night even with the fan on. The bedroom floors are wooden so there is some noise from the people above you. The hotel is on a Main Street so there’s is some traffic noise at night time.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was spacy and nicely decorated. Hotel provided parking space for extra cost.
Cons: There was no elevator and we had to carry our bags upstairs. The hotel is a bit far from city center (about 25 minutes walking).

Pros: Outstanding location and very good staff. We were in the Annexe which has some road noise but provided lovely accommodation - good beds and en-suite. Would thoroughly recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at the hotel in July. The location was excellent being on the river and bridge and also next to the interesting and picturesque old town pedestrian area. There is a huge array of shopping and eating all at your doorstep. The hotel itself has very spacious and comfortable rooms and our room also had a nice view. The rooms were spotless and well maintained. There is an excellent restaurant attached to the hotel which serves good wines and very high quality and delicious food. The outdoor area also has a great ambience in summer. There are beautiful hydrangeas at the entrance to the hotel providing a lovely scent. The hotel's breakfast is good and Kevin is a great host who makes great coffee. He was particularly helpful and friendly to us in arranging our airport transfer and bidding us a fond farewell. In fact all of the hotel personnel and the owners were so warm and welcoming to us. We will definitely return to Hotel Zur Alten Brucke when next in Heidelberg.
Cons: We were very happy at Hotel Zur Alten Brucke. We would have liked to have lunch at the restaurant had we been there at the weekend. When we did dine there the service and food was of a very high standard.

Pros: Great location to see Heidelberg Alt Stadt and Castle. Quirky, well equipped and clean rooms.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location to sight seeing, but the reception and the room are different places, and the room is in a building without elevator, so bring luggages around is painful.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, breakfast, staff and facilities

Pros: The location was perfect, right in the center of the city, but far enough off the main road so you didn't hear any of the night time crowds. The staff were friendly.
Cons: The hotel is very nice but a rather expensive for the breakfast available and the room amenities included. The layout is also a little strange, but it was very clean.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is great! Located just off the Hauptstrasse so you get can easily walk to the action and not have the nightlife noise when you are ready to sleep. It is a cozy spot to stay. And they have a 2018 Michelin star restaurant.

Cons: Parking was super tricky... but super convenient - right out front of our apartment
7.0 Good
Pros: Excellent buffet breakfast with a generous time span early to late. Central town location in a cobbled courtyard, leading off a pedestrian area. No traffic noise.
Cons: The room was large but not well heated. One radiator and the aircon only blew cold air despite being set up for heating. I was cold in the night and there were no extra blankets in the cupboard.
7.5 Good
Pros: Its a very nice and clean bedroom, good size, but very basic. I would jave expected a bottle of water, mini bar and maybe a safe box.
Cons: To have mini bar, safe box, some water... and people attending the reception at all time, they were very nice but usually weren't there.

9.5 Excellent
Cons: Train stadion in night
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Generally we were extremely satisfied with our stay. Hotel replied our mail very fast and the reception was very friendly, and we were attended very well. Our bed was very comfortable and big. Also the children's bed was good, and our daughter was happy to sleep in it. Room in general was clean and pretty, and bathroom was very well equipped. Also the kitchenette filled all our needs (good basic cooking utensils, fridge, coffee machine etc.) We liked all the nice small details in room, such as flowers on the desk, things-to-do list, many chairs, make-up mirror etc. Rooms were well isolated from noise and light at night. I can easily recommend the hotel for families with small children, and to everybody else as well. We decided spontaneously to have breakfast at hotel, despite complimentary coffee, rolls and croissants. Breakfast room had a nice flair and sortiment was good. It was also a good choice.
Cons: Public transportation (tram) could be serving the hotel a bit better, but maybe it's better in the future. Still not very bad though. 15 minutes walk from the main station and less than ten to the tram stop. We were travelling with young child, and a potty would have been a bonus. Then our stay would have been perfect.
7.5 Good
Pros: Large room with balcony. Clean. Parking under the hotel (need your room key first)
Cons: Location. Difficult to find due to tram works. Restaurant not open no reason given
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Big room, spacious with every comfort. Perfect for big families.
Cons: position not great, but Good if you need to take the highway.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: IT'S A VERY COMFORTABLE , CLEAN HOTEL. STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. HEIDELBERG IS A BEAUTIFUL CITY BUT THE HOTEL IS NOT IN THE BEST LOCATION
Cons: ONLY THE LOCATION
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and bright room. Delicate everything and service is so sweet:). The location is nice because I like walking through the bridge, but a little bit far from the castle and classic view there. However I still highly recommend it because all is beautiful in the penthouse. Thanks.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: great breakfast, very friendly staff, room was large and modern, contemporary design, great bathroom
Cons: The whole Hotel is very modern and the design is a so called "passiv-Haus" (very modern way of hearing, very energy efficient), but the disadvantage of this heating system is a very, very dry air. after sleeping only one night, both my partner and I were suffering from a very dry throat that very soon started to hurt and felt infected. this is the only reason why I would not spend another night in the Hotel, everything else was fine.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The room was well decorated and outfitted with all we needed to cook a small dinner. We really enjoyed having a balcony to sit on after a long day of walking. The staff were helpful and friendly: they allowed us to check into our room early.
Cons: Our room was next to a railroad, so we could hear trains passing by during the evening.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the Penthouse rooms which were lovely and well equipped. The location of the hotel is a little out of town but close to a very regular tram service. We didn’t have breakfast but there is complementary croissants, fruit and coffee in reception if needed. The staff were lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful.
Cons: I didn’t know about the parking charge, but maybe I didn’t read the small print.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The apartment is good if you stay a long time.
Cons: The location is far away from the old town. had better you have a car. The parking fee is expensive.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and quite location ..brilliant facilities ...

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great and affordable accommodations close to the city sights.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Guesthouse is very conveniently located: close to the bus stop where most of the transport pass and close to the supermarket. The room is equipped with a kitchenette and they also serve very nice breakfast. Very helpful stuff!
Cons: The windows of my room were facing the street with trams and buses. It was noisy when the window was open and not very comfortable to sleep when it was closed (although possible).
7.5 Good
Pros: Simple, clean rooms. Free breakfast (pastries, coffee, juice) which was a pleasant surprise. Very convenient location- walkable to all the sites, food and shopping!
Cons: I stayed during the crazy heat wave. Without air conditioning it was nearly impossible to sleep. Windows open but then come night time the insects come buzzing!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is really good. The room amenities are fantastic and so the front desk support staff.
Cons: Limited options of breakfast and no fan/ act in the room. We need for ask is something strange.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The guesthouse is located a few minutes walk from the main pedestrian street of the old town.
Cons: The room was very hot (under the roof and giving on the southern side) and there was some noise from the street in the late evening. A very high price for what it is (I visited on a weekend in summer).

Several restaurants can be reached on foot from the Golden Rose, and staff will be happy to offer advice.
6.3 Good
Pros: Clean and quiet. Air conditioned (it was 42 heatwave degrees outside) despite details suggesting the room was not, that was a life saver.
Cons: Promised car parking and wooden floors, on arrival told we could have neither by reception. We only spoke English, so credit to German reception staff that they spoke our language, but the member evening staff on arrival took Teutonic reserve to a new high for us, simply looking at us silently as we pointed out we had reserved parking and (anti-allergy) wooden floor.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect! Breakfast was very good.
Cons: No elevator, so a hike up two flights of narrow stairs. No A/C, so it was a bit warm, but otherwise comfy. The parking garage is a nightmare; luckily, their friendly and super-skilled staff will park and retrieve your car for you!!
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, room size was small, but no smaller than a typical B&B in Europe. WiFi worked well in our room and down in the lobby.
6.8 Good
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: Some rooms have no air con ands its not clear which ....
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fast internet, good breakfast, nice receptionist.
Cons: The room was very small but ok for a single traveller.

8.8 Excellent
Cons: We would have liked a small fridge in the room, otherwise we were happy with the accommodation.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent to discover old and new city. Breakfast was very varied and tasty
Cons: Parking is small and they ask you to leave the keys to move cars around. We preferred to park in a nearby public car park
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location.Very polite staff.Very good breakfast.Good (but expensive) car parking facilities.
Cons: No bar.No restaurant. No lounge.Daily room service minimal-the real rose freshly placed in the bathroom to welcome us was not replaced and so was quite dead on our departure. Also the toiletries were not replaced, thus mitigating the attempts at creating a good impression.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Walkable to Altstadt- LONG walk to the Castle.
Cons: Extremely Hot - no AC here. Hard to find location- should have better parking directions to hotel & economy parking.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is beautiful and the location fantastic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the hostel was great, clean, confortable and friendly! special thanks to carmen for assistance and tourism tips!
7.0 Good
Pros: Location and stuff...
Cons: Elevator and air conditioner is necessary ...
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The coffee machine was sooo good they even had oat milk. The hostel was clean and the staff were always cleaning. The location was great walking distance from the train station and close to the main areas. It was right next door to the funicular that goes to the castle. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen was well stocked but a tad small. WiFi worked well throughout the hostel.
Cons: The showers didn’t drain very well. No a/c in the room so had to leave the window open to cool down which let in all the noise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The ladies of the reception were really helpful and friendly. The kitchen was big enough and clean. There was a ladies bathroom and it was big enough and clean.
Cons: It was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable hostal is the best location of the city.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, you literally step right into the old town. The host is super friendly and helpful. This is what a hostel should be like.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This hostel has a way of bringing people together. I made so many friends here that I hope to keep in touch with forever. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe. There are lockers in each room and both women's and mixed washrooms. The kitchen is lovely, and the common area feels very homey. Beds were comfortable and clean, and the staff were excellent. The location was excellent for the older town, and it was right near the castle. Overall, I had an excellent stay and can't wait to go back!
Cons: Basically nothing? There was only one women's only washroom, so if someone was using it you had to wait, but there were other washrooms as well so unless you can't deal with mixed (unlikely for a hosteler) there was no problem. It was a little far from the main train station, but there was another train station nearby.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely and friendly staff, great location, kitchen facilities are abundant with free milk, tea, coffee, cereal etc. It was a hot day so it got quite warm at night but the room was spacious and everything else was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: we had private triple room. The location is very good as right at the market place and beside funicular station to go up castle and mountain. Have 2 kitchens and good facilities. We like as being home. Rooms and bath room are clean. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Thanks for the good stay. Hope to come again this lovely town and stay again here.

Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. 8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location and view. Friendly helpful staff. Spacious room.
Cons: Very expensive, no air conditioning in room, find your own car parking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is quite clean and comfortable with a great location which is just near the old bridge. The staff working there are all very nice and friendly.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location was excellent. Decent rooms with good beds. Noise levels from the street were limited.
Cons: Inconsistent answers given by reception (e.g. parking was said to be free [city parking lot] on arrival, but at check-out this was not the case). Room did not match booking (no AC) and then it was made our problem.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It’s a little quaint but full of character. The staff are super and really friendly.
Cons: There’s nothing to dislike about this hotel but be aware when booking with disabled guests that some rooms are accessed by a couple of steps.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nicely decorated spacious rooms
6.3 Good
Pros: The location and the view.
Cons: First of all, the hotel should advice guest coming by car to go directly to parking P12 unless the guests have a lot of luggage/have difficulties to walk with the luggage. We were lucky that nobody else had parked in front of the hotel, when we arrived and unloaded. There is not much space and it was a little stressing. The hotel should consider to offer parking-service for elderly or disabled people. We had booked two identical rooms at the same price, however they were very different standards. The one room on the third floor was much bigger than the one on the first floor. The upper one had three large windows the other one had only one. The upper one was restored the other wasn’t. The prices of the two rooms should by no way be the same. Our daughters (teenagers) had problems unlocking the room and the staff treated them ignorant and annoyed, when they asked for help. That is not okay. All guest should be treated polite.
7.5 Good
Pros: Pleasant hotel in central location. Very friendly staff at reception and breakfast. Beautiful breakfast-buffet. Good airco. Good arrangement for parking
Cons: Mattresses are up for renewal
10.0 Excellent
Pros: LOCATION!!!! Our view outside our window was of the Old Bridge. For being by a tourist area it was actually quiet at night. Restaurant below was good. Very close to everything. Very friendly staff. Was here for one night but would stay here longer. Parking was a little tricky to find because we could not understand the signs and there was construction. I think we saved $7 by parking in the deck that had an arrangement with. Very clean.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect, in the Old Town, right next to the river. The room was quiet, despite being in a very busy area. The attached restaurant was very good.
Cons: There was no tea or coffee in the room. It could only be bought from a machine in Reception.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an amazing Hotel in the best location. It is on the river and overlooks the old bridge. All of the staff were fantastic and made our stay very enjoyable. It was a home away from home. The rooms are large with good size bathrooms and include a safe and mini-bar. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river and it was a bonus. Breakfast was excellent with many choices available. The staff can help you with parking options close by. A very enjoyable and memorable stay.

8.5 Excellent (685 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Heidelberg, Hackteufel is just steps from Hotel Zum Ritter St. Georg and 6 minutes by foot from University of Heidelberg Old Campus. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We liked the central location in town! The room was clean and had everything we needed even a fan during the hot weather. We loved the breakfast and being able to sit next to the open window right along the charming street.
Cons: The pillows could be more comfortable. Parking was not close to hotel but the walk takes you through central Heidelberg, which is nice..
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is wonderful: right at the heart of the old town. The room is classic. The beds are large and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. Parking lot (P12) is just a few minutes walking from the hotel and you can get a discount parking ticket from the hotel to use together with your own parking ticket.
Cons: The hotel room is above the restaurant and close to the street. You might hear people talking if you leave the windows open. We are not bothered by this. The hotel has also provided us the ear plugs, which we have not used.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room we had was picture perfect with an outdoor seating area. The hotel is also a restaurant as well where we had excellent German food. The owner was very helpful, the location is 10/10 , we had an excellent stay.
Cons: Nothing
6.8 Good
Pros: Location, staff
Cons: Not good for summer, not air conditioning
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is perfect
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. The rooms were attractive and the good breakfast started at seven.
Cons: There is no lobby. The uppermost room had air conditioning. The others had fans but were still rather hot in July.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was excellent. The room itself was amazing with great views in the heart of the old town. I would highly recommend the Junior Suite!
Cons: The bed was a little low budget. I think for the size and quality of the suite a better quality bed and pillows is definetly needed. The breakfast was quite limited. The check out time is quite early (11am) while the check in time is 3pm.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Just one step out of the hotel you enjoy the view of the old bridge just 20 meters away! You are in the middle of the old town and you can enjoy good food in or outside in front of it. We had a calm room and slept very well. There was a complimentary bottle of water and small bottle of wine plus glass. Very friendly hostess and waiters! We appreciated: there was an elevator! Good breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely spacious room, huge bathroom, and very quiet (faced towards the back). Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Location couldn't be better, right in the middle of the Old Town, surrounded by cafés.
Cons: Coffee at breakfast could have been better
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was brilliant, central to the main sights.
Cons: Staff was a little preoccupied with their restaurant business. Minimal greetings and unsure of how the breakfast seating worked.

Overview Reviews
A stay at Hotel Zum Ritter St. Georg places you in the heart of Heidelberg, within a 10-minute walk of Heidelberg Castle and Hotel Zum Ritter St. Georg. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location and the atmosphere.
Cons: The price didn’t include breakfast. When we went at seven, the breakfast has not been prepared and we had to wait for a while.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Food (and waiting staff) were excellent
Cons: Room was less than spotlessly clean when we arrived. Rectified after a pointed conversation with the receptionists.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect for seeing the old town. The hotel is in a beautiful 16th century building. People were taking photos of the building as we looked out of our window. The woman at the front desk is wonderful. She gave us many useful tips and directions.
Cons: The hotel is on a pedestrian mall. I recommend calling ahead to get directions before driving there. The parking is at a public lot a short distance away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was just amazing!
Cons: Everything was great.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location. It is very quaint.
Cons: It was what I expected. It is an old building so rooms are small and basic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, huge room, great bathroom.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel and rooms nicely done. Lots of historic ambiance but rooms recently redone and modernized. Best of both worlds...old and new.
Cons: No air conditioning so some rooms were very hot and hard to cool. Realize the hot weather was not the norm. Staff not especially friendly, not rude but not really welcoming either. Breakfast was understaffed.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: There is lots of street noise from people on Haupe Strasse but there is nothing the hotel can do about this.
7.5 Good
Pros: 1-Right smack in the center of the old city; super location. 2- Staff were nice and helpful
Cons: 1- No air conditioner; we were there during a heatwave (late July), temperatures reached 40C and the rooms were hotter than outside. Had to keep the windows open at night to let “some” coolness in, that also meant letting bugs of all kinds in as well. 2- the fridge stank... smelled like dead fish.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: right in the middle of where you would want to be
Cons: didn't refill the shower/bath gels!!
6.3 Good
Pros: Location and one helpful staff
Cons: The bed was squashed into a corner. Filthy under the couch and lift not working. Location good.
6.8 Good
Pros: the perfect location
Cons: no air-conditioning in the summer; the single room is soooooo tiny, which make me very uncomfortable
