Pros (+) The staff are extremely helpful and cannot do enough for you. They make you feel both very welcome and as if you are with very close friends. It is a great location close to the Old Town. Breakfast extremely varied -- European and Asian dishes on offer -- plenty of it and very good value for money.
Cons (-) The hotel is trapped in a time warp and exhibits all that is hideous about 1970s decor. Both decor and facilities could do with a makeover. Faded splendour comes to mind. Like many hotels in the Far East they are smoking rooms and there is nothing on either hotel booking websites or the hotel's website to warn you of this.
