Great view from the room. Incredibly friendly staff. Got great recommendations for places to go and bus routes. Great experience.
Only small issue was that the heater in the room didn't really keep me warm enough through the night, but other wise a great place to stay!
My family like in-house hotspring facilities. It is nice guest house with Japanese touch. Staffs are friendly and they give valuable advices for us to visit Hakone areas.
Rate is a bit expensive with such facilities.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and when checking in, they give us a lot of useful info that we probably wouldn’t have received at a regular hotel. The rooms were well-heated and the futons had an extra mattress-topper underneath so they were very comfortable! The system of having reserved private usage times for the hot springs was also a welcome change for us people who aren’t comfortable bathing with others! As for location - if you’re interested in going to the museums in Hakone, this guesthouse is great! You’ll have to take a bus to most of the museums, but it’s a lot easier than taking the bus from Hakone-Yumoto Station every day. And there are two convenience stores nearby so if you don’t feel like going to a restaurant (which are few and far between), they’re a great option!
My one gripe with this guesthouse was the shower, which is in need of a renovation.
Conveniently located. Just 2 min to a bus stop that connects with most sights in Hakone. They have detailed guide to buses and trains there too. The onsen was great. And the staff were very welcoming.
