Pretty good location. Free coffee & jelly (!) in lobby -tho not water- was a nice touch. Bedroom facilities adequate.
First thing you notice in the lobby is the smell of cigarettes - unpleasant for the non-smoker. Reception staff rather unfriendly (one exception) & didn’t speak English. Breakfast is overpriced & no fresh coffee or western options. Beds & pillows very hard. Bedroom windows dirty, spoiling view.

The hotel is located near the sightseeing area of Hakodate. Very convenient for accessing the ropeway and the historical streets.
The room is a bit too warm even with air-conditioning during a hot summer night.
