Breakfast
The room was very poorly decorated and furnished and was next to the hotel.
Location. Quiet.
Heating is low in the bedrooms. Very old furniture. Some cracks on the walls
The staff were really friendly and helpful. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The location simply could not be better - right by St Bavo's Cathedral and the Belfry, and just a short walk to the nearest canal and restaurants. Breakfast was better than I've had in hotels with three or four stars, with really strong coffee. The reception area is quirky and appealing with a selection of books in a selection of languages, two sofas on which to sit and read them, and a life-size puppet of an old lady sitting reading (see what I mean when I said quirky). We thought the hotel was excellent value for money.
Some people might find the room a bit small (the bed was lovely and large, which made the room look a bit small, in my view). The decor was perhaps a bit old. However, these are really minor "complaints"; the friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the beds, the excellent breakfast and ideal location far, far outweigh these.
It is a lovely hotel. Perfect for visiting Ghent. Our room was cheerful and pleasant, the view spectacular, the staff friendly and helpful Lovely breakfast in a charming breakfast room. Quiet. We were delighted. Thanks.
No complaints at all (except is there a way to avoid rain in November?). Our thanks. We would recommend this hotel and hope to stay again (with better weather).
The breakfast was very good. The location was awesome. You are in the heart of the historical center.
The kindness of the staff and the view from my room.
I dealt with the Receptionist and she arranged the keys to be kept in a key safe allowing me a late check in. She gave directions where to park and the route from the car park to the Hotel. Breakfast was good and buffet was constantly being added to as it was used. The staff were pleasant and polite and the general cleanliness was of a high standard.
The rooms could do with a makeover and the modernisation of the whole hotel will help. In room facilities like coffee and tea would be a great advantage especially for the late arrivals and having a snack/drinks vending machine on site will be a great success and profitable as well. The Key safe was difficut to operate as the key for the room that I had were a little too large for the Key safe.
The city centre close to the hotel.
The breakfast was not very rich.
Everything!
Nothing.
Staff were really nice and frinedly and helpful, and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent.
Might have gone for an en-suite room.
