Pros: Great location. Good reception area.
Cons: The hotel is so old and needs complete refurbishment. The reception area is clean and welcoming, the staff not so much! The bedroom is sol old with old, heavy, dated furniture, a bathroom that is older than I could have imagined and a bed that seems was there since day 1. The flooring is so dated and all in all, the room felt dirty due to its old age and neglect. I would not recommend staying in such rooms.

Cons: Our room was quite run down and the bathroom dirty especially the shower Breakfast does not even deserve the name.... they did have fresh fruit and cheese as well as cold cuts but the way it was arranged made us walk out the room backwards. Cons: I didn’t like the work that is going on at the street, it’s very noisy and dusty. They don’t have control over it but it was unpleasant. I also thought the showers need an update. They really need to be changed.

Cons: The pool area was very abandoned, there was no staff, the wind was strong so furniture was just left around and the bar was closed so you couldn't order anything unless you wanted to travel 23floors to the restaurant/reception. My bathroom had something leaking which i informed them on the first night but it never got fixed during the 4 days we were there.

Cons: Staff was not particularly friendly, specially the person who did our check-in. Also, not great coordination happening: we asked for late check-out and we were communicated we could have it, only to then be called earlier asking us to leave the room. Lots of noise: the rooms are not well insulated, you can hear everything in the corridors (like the cleaner who decided to turn on the TV in the room she was cleaning at 8am and then leave - I turned it off myself, only for her to turn it on again after 10 min). The windows in the room are not double glazed, and being in front of a busy road, you can hear all the traffic - that made for a really poor sleep, even with ear plugs. Also, the beach facing the hotel is extremely dirty, not making for a good view. Overall, not great value for money.

Cons: It could be a lot cleaner. My windows were super dirt and there were spider nets with bugs in two places in my bedroom. Breakfast was also weirdly organised, and even with a wide variety of options, things weren't really good. I also had lunch at the restaurant and it was pricy for what was served. Orders weren't coordinated to arrive at reasonable order either. There's definitely room for improvement.

Housekeeper disturb you all the time to clean your room then for sure you should put "don t disturb me" but I think that before ten usually nobody want to be disturb. One time the housekeeper eas coming in the room just to check the consuming of minibar and didn t clean the room WTF. The fitness room is really poor and swimming pool really tiny. Breakfast is really basic.

Cons: I would like to suggest that the hotel could invest in have an iron and kettle available in each of their rooms. I think these are basic necessities that guests would love to have instead have extra costs to simply ironing their own clothes or to go the nearest cafe to get a cup of tea outside the hotel premises. Or as less costly option is to have a room with ironing board available to guests to do their own ironing and have at the reception a kettle or coffee machine available there for everyone.

Pros: Nothing special, it is regular hotel.
Cons: I've stayed in several hotels in my life (Sheraton, Four Points, Holiday Inn, Sofitel, etc.) and I have never experienced what happened to me in this hotel. Around 4.30 AM someone from cleaning service tried to enter my room while I was sleeping. She unlocked the door with her key and pushed hard, only to be stopped by an inside lock. Although I shouted her to get out as loud as I could, she took some time (I believe I woke up the entire floor).
I will definitely never go back to that hotel (or any other Costa do Mar) in my life.
