Squeeky clean, Plain Jane
Cocobelle was a last minute single-night booking after our initial hotel turned out to be disgusting. We were thrilled to find ourselves in this simple, tidy, spacious and well scrubbed space. The 'room' was actually a small apartment with discreet kitchenette (full sized fridge), bathroom, bedroom and living area -- bigger than my apartment in NYC. Large flatscreen TV (that we didn't turn on). Furnished simply and inexpensively but with intention (think Target). This would be a perfect extended stay flat for a visiting freelancer. The air conditioner compressor ran loudly and constantly; we ultimately unplugged it to turn it off. We didn't use the clean-looking pool, or sit at the outdoor courtyard tables. This isn't a place to spend the day lounging and making new friends, but a superior home base a couple blocks from the beach. Young suburban straight couples would feel at home,
The mattress was springy, and not in a great way. PS: I wrote this review without scrolling down to see the wide range of ratings. I was surprised to see such low scores between the high ones. This is not a luxury resort but is thoroughly inoffensive and good at being what it is.
