Needs a lot of updating
Bathroom shower was in serious need of some work. All chipped up. Handles didn’t work well
Not one thing.
We stayed in two different rooms over the course of 3 days. We had initially booked our entire week at this property but we left and asked for a refund as both rooms were not at all what they ‘boast’ on their website. The bathrooms are not newly renovated and both rooms we stayed in smelled musty and moldy. My clothes still have the stench from that place and we were only there 3 days. Then there’s the staff. They are unwelcoming, unfriendly, act as if we’re annoying. No one seemed shocked about the conditions of the room. We will never stay here again.
The one part I liked about the hotel was the day I left. I never felt so relieved in my life when I left that place.
I didn't like the room at all. The walls were so thin, I heard everything other guests were doing in the room next to me almost as if they were in my room with me. The rooms needs to be renovated asap! There were ants all over the furniture, the chairs were ripped up and the bathroom was definitely neglected. When you step out of your room, the hallway smelled really bad and the lobby didn't look inviting either. I wouldn't stay there even if they paid me to. Lastly, the cleaning personnel never came to my room to fix it like hotels normally do. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone else unless they have to choose between staying on the streets or booking a room at the Sea Club Ocean Resort. Even then, I still wouldn't consider the Sea Club Ocean Resort. Definitely doesn't deserve the word "Resort".
The bedroom is great and we had everything we needed. They also gave us a microwave when we asked. We'd certainly go back. It was a comfortable and very nice stay.
It can be a bit dark, 'cause the light comes from lamps (and windows, when there's sun, but then people from other buildings can see you). We got a bedroom in another building, so it was a bit complicated to walk around. Two elevators and corridors involved. Also, there's a person knocking on your door exactly on the time of checkout, but they gave us some more minutes to organize ourselves. You have to leave a deposit when you check-in. I think it was 100 dollars, can't remember.
Right at the beach
The Sea Club Resort is located in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It is across the street from the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Any time of the year is ideal to come visit the Sea Club Resort. Spring and Winter are preferred though. All of the guest’s rooms have been totally remodeled. This hotel was built in 1951 and it was the Jolly Roger Hotel. It was a nautical theme, and celebrities stayed here.
The Sea Club Resort has newly renovated rooms, and it offers plenty of amenities as well. There is complimentary wireless internet access in public areas, and guest rooms. There is a deck bar and restaurant, that has fresh seafood, with poolside or take out options available. There is a brand-new fitness center, new business center, guest laundry on premises, and dry cleaning is available too. There is a complimentary continental breakfast. There is also a heated pool.
The guest rooms and suites have been renovated as well. The resort had a multi-million-dollar renovation and now they are a 3.5-star Boutique hotel. The rooms have modern décor, new plush carpet, Beauty rest Air-Cooled Mattresses, 42-unch flat screen TV with over 50 channels, plush linens, the suites have kitchenettes, granite countertops, new bathrooms, coffee makers, and more.
