1 thing only...the Location. Close to shops, bars, restaurants, train station, bus station and ferries
Everything.....the staff, the breakfast, the rooms, the bed....most of the staff are rude and unhelpful. The girl who checked us in (long brown hair young) could do with some serious customer relations coaching. We also caught her outside gossiping about the guests !! How very unprofessional. The breakfast...the people who previously have said the breakfast is great must be eating somewhere else. There was hard bread for toast, bruised fruit, some cereal, the jam was used up and when i asked for more i got a grunt frim staff ! They put out 2 cakes aswell...if you're lucky enough to get some because the staff seem to eat most of it. So please enlighten me as to what is great about this breakfast? Maybe if you are paying €10 a night for a bed in a dorm but we paid a lot more for a family room....which brings me to the rooms. We were put in a very small cramped room as a family room with a top area with 2 beds and a sofa bed which squeaked and i could hardly breathe for it was squeaking and waking the baby and beware do not sit on the end of the bed or you will fall through. There were hairs everywhere so not that clean either. We changed room for our last night which didnt get much better. Bed still squeaked. Door to bathroom squeaked. There were electrical sounding noises coming from the bathroom which didnt sound good. The room was closer to the balcony so more noise and smoke for a sleeping baby. The lighting in the room is terrible too and the air con did not work in tge first room. This place is not family orientated at all. We were an inconvenience if anything.
Fab location and a beautiful building. And lockers.
The hostel was lovely and the staff were friendly. The high ceilings and the decoration is nice. the rooftop was good too!
The bed was too hard and I didn't get a good nights sleep -
Nice looking hostel, nice ameneties over all. Very good location. Staff was kind and helpful
Breakfast was not so impressive. Smoking is allowed down stairs in the courtyard near the rooms, rather than just on the terraceand and the smell is very strong (I am a smoker myself and it bothered me).
