I felt that I am staying with family. The hotel is small but it is fantastic. The staff are very polite and smart.
Nice breakfast and nice music
On arrival no parking facilities, Radiator wouldn’t switch off so uncomfortable night sleep, checkout time was 10am and wasn’t advised that breakfast was only 7.30-9.00 even on a Sunday. Although staff did knock up a breakfast. Would think twice next time I visit because of the parking which cost £15 extra in town carpark about 10 min walk. Good job it wasn’t raining
Breakfast start time at 07:45 was a little bit later than I would have liked but not exceptionally so. I enjoyed the hot breakfast when it came and both the omelette and full breakfast were tasty. The staff (owner?) was welcoming and friendly. The room (12) was quite cosy and warm. The mattress was quite deep but did sag somewhat in the middle or perhaps I'm a bit too heavy. I was on the second floor and the shared toilet/shower/bathroom area was midway between the ground and first floors which was a bit of a trek especially during the night. Glad I wasn't on the third floor.
Breakfast start time was mentioned above but I suppose it's probably aimed towards typical clientele, As mentioned above the mattress sagged a somewhat but the staff said they would investigate when I mentioned it at checkout. Getting the key into the two doors at the front can be a bit fiddly especially when it's darker.
Staff very welcoming, clean and comfortable room, good breakfast and central location.
