I loved how friendly the staff are and definitely the bar :) It was easy to get to, close and cozy. I highly reccommend it
All was good
"The Ferryman Townhouse" is about the only old building on the banks of the River Liffey in this part of Dublin, and it is definitely worth visiting. The pub speaks for itself - yes, it can get a bit lood outside, but not throughout the night, and our room was nice and spaceous with a great view of the river and life alongside it. The staff is very friendly, helpful and relaxed, and the breakfast room is charming with very nice staff as well and a great Irish breakfast. I very much hope that "The Ferryman Townhouse" will be maintained and not replaced by yet another impersonal, modern building, so I can return :)
Great location for the convention centre but also walking distance to Temple Bar
Shower very small and door stiff - worried I would get locked in!!
The hotel was easy to find and access. The rooms where clean and the breakfast fantastic. It is not in the city centre but closer to the docks which is a nice area. It is still walking distance to the main centre.
My room was a single and the view was a rooftop which could easily be accessed by the public as there was maintenance being done and scaffolding with ladders ran up to the roof. I therefore couldn’t leave my window open and it was quite hot and stuffy in the room.
The location is good. Also, its right above an Irish pub. So your evening plan is sorted. The walk to the O'Connell street is like a 15 minute walk from there. The hotel faces the River Liffey, nice view. Breakfast is included.
There is no lift, so if you have the room on the second or the third floors, taking up the luggage is a bit of challenge. The rooms don't have an AC. Once you reach, you sort of get confused of the entrance. And FYI, the check in happens at the pub bar. So you enter the pub, speak to any waiter there and he will help you check in and show you the room. The shower are is just too small.
With a stay at The Ferryman in Dublin (City Centre Dublin), you'll be steps from Grand Canal and 4 minutes by foot from The Convention Centre Dublin.
