Drugs, Drugs, Drugs
The staff, when they were there, were surprisingly very nice and attentive. The price is also cheap (but not cheap enough for what you're getting). Pet friendly without an extra charge.
DO NOT BOOK WITH CHILDREN, OR IF OTHER OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE. There was not enough staff available, and there's no one manning the desk from 10pm-7am, which is when most of the crime takes place and when people would like to check in/out. I'd like to say that the staff really are nice, but there's just not enough of them so the front desk service takes a very long time (upwards of 30 mins) to get to you. They fired the cleaning staff, so you're responsible for taking your towels down and taking out your trash/cleaning your room/sheets. There's an exuberant amount of drugs going on, and guests there (especially during the times when there are no front desk staff) would brazenly smoke marijuana in the parking lot, in the hallways, and in the elevator (which is very old, very slow, and has no cameras). The place, even in non smoking rooms, has an aroma of marijuana. I'm an 18 year old, 5'11" female rugby player who can bench 240 and even I would not leave my hotel room at night. One night I was coming back to my hotel room and a man followed me off the elevator (where he was making lewd comments directed towards me) and tried to enter my hotel room. Luckily I was able to slam the door, lock it twice, and alert my mother, but others might not be as lucky. If you go out at night, especially between the hours of 11pm-midnight (my mother and I called it the Witching Hour), there's at least two different groups of people in the back of the building doing/dealing drugs. People would even do it outside as early as 9am in the morning. As we were getting ready to check out, at 9am, we saw a couple outside of our window smoking marijuana, but the man rolled their joint ON OUR CAR. There's also scantily clad women waiting for men to pick them up, so prostitution isn't out of the question at this hotel. Men will also follow you and catcall you just from the time you leave the door and enter your car. Not a safe place for a single female, or anyone else. The bathrooms in the rooms are actually very nice, and pretty clean (our shower curtain had mud on it, but otherwise a very clean bathroom). The shower was very nice, I never had a cold shower. The toilets flushed well, and the tap water was drinkable. You have to take your towels downstairs to exchange them for new ones, which is a hassle. Bad laundry facilities and no pool/workout area. The kitchen was pretty nice if you don't want to cook. The refrigerator was large and the microwave worked well, but if you used the two burners your room, and the hallway, would smell like gas/burning. We didn't use the burners, so it wasn't a problem for us. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, which made it difficult to sleep at night. The beds here actually caused a sharp pain in between my shoulder blades. Adding on the fact that there was CONSTANT pounding from the people above us and we could hear the man in the room next to us yelling at just about anything, no sleep here. Do not book.
