The room was spacious and beautiful. Staff very friendly.
The loud plumbing in the bathroom. There was an extra cupboard with a plumbing system that was loud when nearby rooms used taps etc in their rooms, so we had noise from our bathroom and others. The noise from others woke us numerous times throughout the night. The restaurant had no gas for 5 days leading up to our stay so no grilled food available. We had to find a last minute restaurant nearby to eat as the menu without grilled food was very limited. Feel the hotel should have informed us of this prior to our stay and definitely at the time of booking the table on arrival. We were only made aware after being seated for dinner.
The location for my purposes was good.
Dripping noise outside bedroom window. Limited food on menu for two days because of broken grill. Mediocre food Poor service Lighting in room bad Broken drawers No mirror in room to dry hair Shower screen opaque with water scum Not very clean Tired and in need of update Offered three types of egg on menu for breakfast but only could actually have scrambled? Unable to cancel without paying in full if needed to
Staff a d breakfast and location room awful and should not be let out tried to change but couldn’t Ok location though ok still.l though Coggeshall changed co siderBly and. Dry quiet Now more residential and not the bustling antique village it was
Room have already explained
Very attentive and friendly management.
Rooms a little bit tired but a very old building so not too bad.
Everything was as expected. The staff were very helpful and the accommodation was perfect. The meal in the evening was great. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was just what you need everything was there and once again the staff were very helpful.
The only thing as the place is very old the stairs to the rooms is very narrow and in the room the floor was sloping.
