I liked the wide hallways and tall ceilings in the rooms! The fact that the hotel used to be the Board of Education building appealed to me greatly. The staff was warm, friendly, and helpful. I will definitely recommend this hotel!
Perfect Location
Walking distance to attractions and restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was our first visit to Cleveland and we had a great time.
The breakfast was ok and happy hour snacks were mediocre. With so many great restaurants and bars in the area we opted out of the free stuff.
Great friendly staff
Kevin at the front desk was very friendly and nice. The woman (didn’t get her name) was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and nice rooms. It was a great location for the things our family had planned.
The only negative was we were on the first floor by the lobby and at night and early morning we could hear some conversations.
The free food was pretty bad but what do you expect for free food
Best hotel downtown
Luxury at affordable price. Complimentary happy hour drinks and breakfast included is a nice touch.
Hot tub was too hot And pool was too cold.
Nice Hotel, not recommended for families
Overall clean, good breakfast. Wifi worked well. Room was modern, but the bed was soft. Had complimentary fridge and microwave which was nice. Would have loved this hotel if traveling for work, but not really the best set-up for a family with a baby.
Drunk person wandering around front of hotel when we went to check-in at 8pm on a Friday. Had to carry our infant through group of smokers that congregate at the front door (gross.) Nobody manning the front desk, had to find someone to check us in. Only offer valet parking option. The free "crib" provided was just a pack and play, not really good for sleeping baby (or easy to clean!) and overall the hotel was on the noisier side. Also no bathtub in the room for bathing kids.
Downtown Cleveland Secret
Loved the whole feel of the retrofitted space! Extraordinarily comfortable, great safety features, and amazing location.
Recently opened after multi million dollar historical restoration...beautifully done well appointed and great central downtown location.
Although not crowded during my stay I would imagine the hallways will become very noisy due to the beautifully restored marble floor and half wall wainscot.
