Yakushima car hire comes with many choices, and the better option depends mostly on your needs. If you're not planning on driving far distances, you can stick to a smaller, more compact model. Automatic cars are easier on fuel and easier to drive as well, especially if you're used to driving a manual. If you're going to explore the island, a 4x4 is a better option for the long and winding roads, especially those near the waterfalls and rugged terrain.
