Pros: Excellent breakfast. The hostess was very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
Cons: There was nothing that could improve on this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I absolutely adored this house/home. Dominique’s taste flows through everything like a balm to the heart.
Cons: I loved everything about my 4 day experience here and will return.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location in Chartres. Friendly and very helpful host during our one night stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful hostess. Good surroundings and great breakfast.
Cons: Took a lot of time to find the car park. Clear directions on which way to go exactly would help enormously. Satnav didn't help.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: You can see the Cathedral from the bedroom window, and it is a 3 minute walk. Dominique was a gracious hostess, and the .room was large and comfortable. We had a wonderful meal at Esprit Gourmand, which was also a short walk
Cons: The only negative was the fact that you cannot drive up to the house, so we parked in a lot a couple of blocks away and rolled our luggage. This is stated in the info and was not a real problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Family home style.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Less than 5 minutes walk to Chartes Cathedral and close to shopping and restaurants.
Cons: Parking nearby but B & B in the middle of a closed street so be prepared to wheel suitcase to house.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable. The owners were so nice and helpful, would not stay anywhere else if visiting Chartres.
Cons: Na
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved this little gem!! We were welcomed by the host (Lester) and his friendly spaniel dog, Lennon. Lester did not speak much English, but we were shown around and understood enough until the other host (Dominique) arrived and was able to communicate with us better. She recommended a few things and a wonderful restaurant to have dinner. The home was gorgeous, with a stunning back yard garden and close proximity to everything. The church was right around the corner and there was an amazing light show that evening! We loved the breakfast in the morning in their beautiful dining room with another couple staying there. Everything was quiet and clean and we would love to return! A couple things to note- the hotel is not clearly marked (very small sign on the side of the door) and it is on a pedestrian street (no cars). There is an overnight parking lot around the corner, but it did not take U.S. credit cards, so that was an issue and we had to call the number on the pay machine for assistance.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely property in excellent location but be aware there is no parking near by and be prepared to park s few blocks away
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful place to stay! Beautiful home, incredible hostess and just steps away from the Cathedrale! I enjoyed having breakfast with other guests and making those connections. I was travelling alone and felt very safe and supported.
Le Parvis - Chartres - Bar
2
9.1 Excellent (755 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Le Parvis is located at the foot of the Notre Dame Cathedral in the historical district of Chartes. It offers air-conditioned accommodation with free Wi-Fi access. Each room is individually themed and equipped with a flat-screen TV, minibar and a radio. Rooms have a seating area and private facilities. Le Parvis's restaurant serves traditional French cuisine from 11:00 to 17:00. Hotel Le Parvis is just a 5 minute walk from the train station. It is a central base from which to explore the city’s main attractions.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you want to be able to look out your window and feel you could touch the walls of Chartres Cathedral, then this is the place! We were in the spacious attic room that takes a few flights of stairs to reach but well worth it. The staff won our hearts when they grabbed our heavy luggage for us and trudged up the steps. The restaurants along the street were great and reasonably priced.
Cons: Some construction at the hotel made the GPS rather worthless.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location location location. Super staff fun old building. NOT your run-of-the-mill modern day hotel. Amazing breakfast. Look out the window of our room right onto the cathedral
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed this quaint B&B just next door to the Chartres Cathedral and only a 7 minute walk from the train station. The rooms were lovely and the shower amazing after a long travel day. Breakfast was yummy and the staff polite and helpful.
Cons: It was challenging to find with the construction that was happening.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: A very atmospheric old building near the cathedral, charming staff and easy parking included at the cathedral car park
Cons: No complaints
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very old. It is very comfortable and shabbily delightful. We had our own stairway out and it put us within 30 feet of the cathedral. Staff did not speak English but we all managed with fun good nature. There was good secure parking included. I could not have had a better experience.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Chartres is easy and inexpensive to reach via Paris by train and the hotel an easy ten minute walk from the railroad station. Staying here felt like being at home. The room was comfortable and with a view of the cathedral a stone's throw across the street. I enjoyed relaxing in the suite after an afternoon exploring the neighboring shops and sights. The night time light show was amazing. Breakfast was ample, served tableside, and more than enough to start the day. I look forward to returning. Thank you.
7.1 Good
Pros: To say that the hotel is handy for the truly stunning cathedral is an understatement; a very brief walk and you’re inside one of the most beautiful buildings in the world. Breathtaking. The owner is charming, helpful and served a very good breakfast. The room (Penelope; all the rooms have quaint names; the room at the top of the house is called, appropriately, Les Anges) was eccentric and unlike anything I have ever stayed in before. Huge, circular bed, disco lights in the shower and a radio in the loo! Furniture either black, white or silver.
Cons: The shower needs a new base and urgently as the temporary bit of wooden matting was frankly awful and let the whole bathroom area down. It would be very simple to replace. I generally felt that the hotel could do with a refresh. It is charming, but some TLC is required to make what could be a really special place indeed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner was wonderful! She gave advice for parking and carried our large suitcase up the stairs for us! The room was large with a seating area and large windows to see the street! When we opened our door the left front corner of the cathedral was there with a view if the square. Fortunately we caught the end of the Lumières show which was incredible! We had to leave before breakfast was served so as we were loading our car, the owner ran out with freshly baked buttery croissants! They were the best we had in France!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, modern bathroom, mini fridge, quirky door locks
Cons: I could see where it could be noisy, but for us the street was quiet, so we had a great night's sleep
5.6 Okay
Pros: Great location, excellent room, very good breakfast, value for money. But see below.
Cons: We booked a room for the night of 16 December 2010. We went out to dinner in the evening. When we returned, at about 9.30pm, the hotel was locked and there was nobody there. It transpired that we were the only residents and the staff had left for the night. It was raining very hard and extremely cold. After much banging at the front door, which was fruitless, we went to a neighbouring restaurant. An extremely pleasant young man there (at Le Bistrot de la Cathedrale) contacted the Parvis staff who told him we should use our room key. Long story short, the key did not work. Finally the staff member turned up and let us in, acknowledging that it was the front door lock which did not work. It was by now sub-zero temperature. Not happy.
7.7 Good
Pros: Very Individually French - lovely warm atmosphere - many unique features - very comfprtable - excellent breakfast - other good restaurants very close
7.0 Good
Pros: It has character, charm and perfect location
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel... Nothing to much trouble.. Everything worked ...loads of hot water ..good position.. Good food.. Owner was away his mother made us feel very welcome and at home...
Cons: None
6.3 Good
Pros: We stayed for two nights with a view to visiting the cathedral and old town at our leisure, so the location was ideal. The hotel is of interesting character, where uneven floors and doors which don't quite fit properly are all part of its quirky charm. Our room, Les Louis, was warm and comfortable, with a novel shower and a surprise kitchenette in a cupboard. Internet access was fine. We were given a friendly reception by the proprietor, and we enjoyed reasonably priced, unpretentious meals on both evenings. A plentiful, traditional breakfast was served.
Cons: On arrival, we had to unblock the sink in the bathroom. The lighting was dim, making it difficult to read. Not the hotel's fault, but parking is at a premium in Chartres. We could possibly have used the nearby underground car-park, at the hotel's expense, but chose not to risk it because of our vehicle's height. Luckily, we found a space just outside, but feeding the meter was not cheap.
6.7 Good
Pros: Excellent location, small and friendly hotel
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent friendly staff. Lovely location right in the centre of Chartres old town. Great breakfast and evening meal also. Parking permit is given for parking.
Cons: Car park is a walk away but it is definately worth the short 3 minute walk.
6.8 Good
Pros: Quirky hotel but really good. Great central Chartres location. Great room. Excellent food, we had lunch, dinner & breakfast.
Cons: Parking is an issue but definitely worth the hassle for the location.
7.6 Good
Pros: Excellent staff and management.
Cons:
6.0 Good
Pros: Interesting decor, comfortable bed. Very close to cathedral
Cons: No tea/coffee facilities or glasses. No soap or shampoo.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly service , comfortable rooms and location
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The staff could not have been more helpful - getting my car which was parked nearby when I checked in, giving directions, pointing our the light show of summer, which turned out to be spectacular..
Cons: It's an old building and a bit faded in part. Not enough plugs for charging all the things we need to charge these days, but that is common in older hotels.
7.9 Good
Pros: Perfectly situated and a lovely big bed
Cons: The breakfast was over priced and average . Room a bit dated and smelled of old tobacco smoke .
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Polite friendly and helpful reception staff who spoke perfect English to us.. Clean comfortable bedroom with huge bed. Secure parking 3 -4 minute walk from hotel. Great location in the city centre. Hotel is very old fashioned but very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Central location was excellent for the cathedral and tourist dotto train. Brasserie restaurant provided a quality menu and dinner was very good. Staff were very helpful in carrying luggage from the car which was parked initially in a side street adjacent to the hotel. Secure (chargeable at EU10.00) valet parking available.
Cons: Being on a main road with trams, access by car to the front of the hotel was somewhat tortuous if one approached, as we did, from the South. A note for guidance on the hotel’s web site would have assisted.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Big room, comfortable bed, good staff, excellent location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The suite was lovely, spacious and beautifuly designed. The location was absolutely perfect, walking distance to the cathedral and to the center.

Pros: So clean and lovely surroundings. So quiet. Great breakfast—nut cake, croissants and baguette. Great coffee! Very steep stairs which didn’t bother us a bit but not for those with mobility issues. Comfy bed. We would stay again.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great quiet place very near the center of town. Charming and romantic.
Cons: The upstairs room was difficult for me but there is an alternative.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to town, but quiet and lovely grounds. Tasty breakfast, gracious hosts.
Cons: No improvements suggested. All was good.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was lovely, and the overall property was very well appointed. The location was a 5 minute walk to the cathedral and surrounding restaurants and shops.
Cons: There was no signage for the Hotel, we circled the neighborhood and finally had to get out and walk up and down the street. A little sign said ring for Clos de Chedeville. Once we rang, someone said "J'Arrive", and we waited for almost five minutes for someone to come. It's obvious this is not their main business. There were spiders and bugs all around the room. The bed was not comfortable. Excepts for at breakfast there was no one around to talk to about the neighborhood, restaurants and directions. We were on our own. Very disappointed in this location. Every other property we have stayed at has been great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was very good. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable and when we opened the curtains in the morning it was like being in the countryside - chickens and ducks in the lovely garden. The breakfast was excellent and it was served in an amazing dining room, Our host was very welcoming and we would definitely recommend her property to any one visiting the charming city of Chartres.
Cons: nothing

Pros: Excellent staff and great breakfast
Cons: Hotel was perfect for our needs
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Convenient for 1 night to attend the wedding.
Cons: The entrance door to the hotel was locked and we didn't receive instructions to unlock it when checking in. When entering our code, the door was not opening. We got the information later that the parking entrance was working.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. Good, clean hotel. Breakfast fantastic value.
Cons: Clean, tidy and comfortable. Safe and secure. Nothing was too much for the excellent staff. Wonderful value.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very clean, spotless. Very good selection of breakfast items and of high quality.
Cons: The reception closed at 9.00 pm and there were no staff on duty to book us in for 2 rooms. We arrived a little later than 9.00 pm and found it very fiddly and annoying trying to access the hotel and our bedrooms having to use a computer terminal outside the hotel. This issues a paper receipt with an access code to the room and entrance. So easy to lose or leave in the room and that would cause problems in itself. Reception should be open until 11 pm to welcome guests and also to deal with any problems or emergencies that may arise.
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Staff very attentive. machines not very good
Cons: The sweet machine !!! kept my money!!!
9.0 Excellent
Cons: Arrived late , not itself a problem as easy check in through use of key pad etc, but there were two of us and only one pillow on the bed. No spare pillow in the room and no one to ask.

Pros: this hotel was a mid journey stopover, but didnt expect to be in an industrial estate, how naive, the room however was quiet, the bed comfortable and the bathroom good. There are alternative restaurants in the vicinty so reasonable choice. Breakfast was good, all you can expect but additional to the hotel rate.
Cons: The hotle provided what we wanted, no more no less.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We were delayed en-route but the worry of arriving very late - approx. 23.30 - was allayed by the presence of 24 hr concierge.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Brilliantly placed for my trip up through France towards Calais. Excellent selection of restaurants around it. Great for fuel fill up at non motorway prices.
Cons: Virtually no problems.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: The description of the property shown on my iPad was nothing like the room we were given, very basic, view of the garden, not possible we were at the back over looking other buildings and the view from the window, only if we stood on the bed to open, the breakfast was over powering with the decor and the atmosphere was no better than a wake, a little music for background would have helped, very disappointed.

Cons: TV channels very limited, not really a problem but maybe for some.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great. Within a very short walking distance of both train station and the Chartres Cathedral. The view of the Cathedral lit up at night from my room was wonderful. My train left too early in morning to take advantage of breakfast and I did not try the restaurant or bar. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. When I arrived too early to actually get into my room they were able to hold my luggage in a safe place while I went out and toured the cathedral and town.
Cons: Wish I had had more time to spend another night here.

Pros: Hotel is very modern, calm and clean. Family room are perfect for few days. Both bathroom and shower - kids were happy. Breakfast very good (hot croissant / salty and sweety / good tea quality) and opening hours are very good for the morning... don't need to ruch before 10am. Late checking is free on sundays which is very good. Very near from Odyssée location.
Cons: 10 mn by car to Chartres downtown (in fact it is not a problem it is very quick).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect stop off, comfortable beds, excellent healthy choices at restaurant, good size sofa bed
Cons: Definitely business hotel so breakfast very sparse , no plates etc after business guests had finished and we were there at 8.15. It was replenished but took a while. One poor very nice lady seemed to be doing it all . Nowhere decent to eat walking distance but restaurant really good
6.7 Good
Pros: Receptionists were efficient, pleasant and helpful
Cons: The attitude of the waiter in the dining room in the evening. He was efficient but did not seem to have much pleasure in his job. Evening menu and food should have been far better. There could have been more expensive and better dishes on the menu to choose from. At breakfast, I had to ask for plates. When they came they were ICE cold, not very handy for warm eggs and bacon! I suggest plates AND bowls should be by the eggs and by the cheese, etc. Now there are no bowls by the fruit and no plates by the eggs and bread.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The layout of the hotel was nice, the bar area was modern. The location was well placed to get back on with our journey.
Cons: Separate toilet in bedroom, prefer to have it in the bathroom.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and well equipped room. Staff friendly and very helpful. We were made to feel very welcome with our dog. Restaurant was excellent and we very much enjoyed both evening meal and breakfast with extensive choice. Good parking We were so impressed we booked a second night on the return journey.

Pros: We arrived late just as the restaurant was closing. However, the staff made us very welcome and looked after us very well. You can tell they were a happy team and it made it a pleasure to stay.
Cons: We were recommended the wine at €30 but it wasn’t very good. A very minor gripe!
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Reduced menu as it was a weekend which we were unaware of so limited choice for dinner but food was good.
Cons: If we had checked that it was in an industrial area we probably would have stayed elsewhere but given that we didn't it was a good experience.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: In a quiet location and not many minutes drive from Chartres. You could open the window if you wished and there was a kettle in the room. Bed was comfortable and the parking is plentiful. Room looked out onto the countryside

Cons: Dinner menu was restricted .
5.0 Okay
Pros: Stayed here a couple of times usually accommodating

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable beds, large room , clean and quiet. Handy stopover heading south from Paris to Angers.
Cons: Shower attachment was broken so only fixed head worked (room 6)
5.0 Okay
Pros: When we went to bed in our room the bedding absolutely smelt disgusting - cigarette smoke. I guess it must be where the cleaners have a sly cigarette in the laundry room or something! I mentioned this the next day when we checked out and was told that I should have mentioned this the previous night. As we were in bed I wasn't going to get dressed again and complain at that point! Wish I had now as we would have been allocated a different room maybe. We had the princely sum of 7 euros knocked off our bill!!! Will not use this hotel again as I thought that was derisory.
Cons: The discount the next day could have been better as we stay in this hotel twice a year and have done for the past 3 years

Pros: Great position and secure parking
Cons: I find the beds too hot with the type of topper fitted...even with the window open.
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel is easy to find and there is secure parking on site for a price. The room was clean but dated but the shower was great as was the bed and pillows. Breakfast was great too. Reception staff were very helpful in sorting a booking issue that occurred.
Cons: The room (208) was very warm and although reception did say that there was air con, it didn't work in our room and the window only opened a little bit so we were very hot - in October!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was reasonably priced, very convenient to the cathedral, and had reasonably priced secure underground parking. While a bit spendy, breakfast was better than we've experienced in any other budget hotel.
Cons: Quilted comforter was heavy, and too much for October, even with the heat off. Unable to open windows because of the street noise. An available light blanket would have been nice. Bath towels were very thin and of poor quality. We would have also liked a hand towel for the bathroom.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room comfortable and everything worked. The breakfast was excellent, choice of breads and fresh pastries --and fresh-boiled eggs. The location is very central, making it easy to explore the ancient centre. It is sensible to book the on-site parking as parking elsewhere is very scarce. The other good advice is to use your sat-nav, put in the precise address of the hotel and follow it exactly (even though some streets may seem too narrow and steep) You will never find it by map-reading unless you are very familiar with the city centre (it is also advisable when you leave because the one-way system can be confusing.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff were nice . Rooms clean .
Cons: Breakfast was very poor as was bar and only 1 towel each for 2nights so it was still wet for the second night . Definitely not a 4 star .
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, secure parking, lifts to the bedrooms. Good restaurant. Comfortable beds.
Cons: The room was small but adequate. Not many electric points. No lift from car park.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is very conveniently located in the city centre, and provides good clean comfortable accommodation. There is a good choice of food at breakfast and dinner.
Cons: Car parking charge was 9.50 euros, but the location of the hotel made this charge worth while.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very convenient and functional hotel. Use it very often. The rooms are clean and presentable. Its a place of passage and the rooms reflect that. It is very close to the Cathedral which is great as you can walk to it from the hotel. The food was good and the carafe of wine with it was most welcome after our long journey up. As it was Monday and out of season, many of the restaurants near the cathedral were closed. The breakfast is always varied and caters for most tastes.
Cons: The shower is slippery and dangerous. The room had a very musty bad smell when we entered, but this was no doubt because it had not been used for a while. Soon cleared after we had used the water in the bathroom.

6.0 Good
Pros: The bed was comfy. We appreciated the kettle and enjoy a hot drink on arrival. Not to far from the town.
Cons: Would have preferred a shower rather than a shower over the bath with a curtain.
5.0 Okay
Cons: The shower didn’t work and the restaurant was only partially open
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, clean room. Good shower. Great location for an overnight stop. Easy to find.
Cons: Refurbishments in the restaurant meant there was a limited food service. The staff did their best and it was fine, but would have liked to know this on website before booking.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant and reception are being revamped. Hope they start on the rooms next.
Cons: Clients should have been told dinner was not available only breakfast in the conservatory
7.5 Good
Pros: Room was fairly small but quiet and comfortable, located in a two storey building to the side of the Reception and dining area. Out of town location but not too far to drive to Chartres centre and its wonderful cathedral. Excellent shower. Breakfast was fine, usual buffet affair.
Cons: Air conditioning very weak, hardly noticeable, and after a long journey we needed it as it was early August and very hot. We were on the first floor, stairs being on the outside. The windows opened onto a long front balcony which other guests walked past to get to their own rooms and it did not feel very private at times, with conversations going on outside. This is a minor matter however. Seemed a bit dated compared to the Campanile in Tours where we had stopped the night before, but that was brand new. It was all very adequate for an overnight stop on our way back to Cherbourg.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was very convenient on our road trip. We had a comfortable over night stay on our way back to Paris.,
6.0 Good
Pros: A budget hotel on the edge of town with parking is what we booked and that is what we got.
Cons: The receptionist could have had more English. The dinner on arrival was poor. We were charged for 2 breakfasts per night when only 1 of us had breakfast. This had to be refunded in cash as my credit card had already been debited. Fortunately I noticed before we drove off. Information on public transport into town would have been useful. We were told there were no busess but we passed a bus stop just down the road as we walked into town.

Cons: I personally would like either a mattress protector or under sheet. Same with the pillows.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location. Valet parking Spacious room Excellent staff
Cons: The room faced the rail station. Lights on all night with poor curtain blackout meant both of us had two interrupted nights sleep. Room stuffy and the windows kept shut because of the noise of the construction of the rail station forecourt. A/C inadequate.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent; an short walk to the cathedral, etc.
Cons: We were dropping off out hire-car in Chartres, but for anyone with a car, parking would have been a problem.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, only few metres from cathedral and all that the town center offers Great views from our window down to old town Easy parking in grounds at this quieter time of year Ecclesiastical feel: downstairs still used by church, but this also means you're staying in a well modernised but old building. Plenty of good atmosphere! Wonderful fresh and varied buffet breakfast with very welcoming host. Very good value for 10 euros
Cons: Only fault was dodgy internet access via WiFi
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the energy and its proximity to the Cathedral
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location. Room was comfortable and good value.
Cons: The bathroom was not very clean. Pubic hairs on the toilet seat and shower walls. Toilet bowl very unclean. I know the room was cheap, (I paid 44€), but cleanliness is an expectation no matter the price.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was generous in quantity and had a good choice.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: If you're visiting Chartres to see the cathedral then this no-frills hotel is ideal. It's run by the Church and is simple, clean and welcoming, with a pleasantly monastic feel that's appropriate to the location. It's literally two minutes' walk from the cathedral and very close to the pedestrianised centre of town where the restaurants and shops are.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything, was beyond beautiful, the Cathedral was breathtaking, the tours we took interesting, the room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Could have been better wifi
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a good basic breakfast and good value for 11 euros. The breakfast room was really interesting as is the hotel in general. It was lovely staying in what was once a monastery. There is a very peaceful, calm feel to the place.
Cons: The only thing we really would have loved would be a kettle and cups in the room so that we could make tea. Otherwise the room was basic but clean, comfortable and with a good amount of space.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful, serene place to enjoy and contemplate the glories of Chartres Cathedral, which is very close up the street. The staff was competent and caring, the breakfast ample & delicious, the room comfortable and charming, the entire place peaceful & welcoming. Can’t wait to come back again.
Cons: Can’t think of anything

6.3 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: I do not like hotels that have no alternative fire escape routes, we were on third floor and if fire broke out below we had only the main small, wooden and steep staircase to get out by, i dread to think that a fire would break out on lower floors. Also no elevator . Very poor.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is next to the train station in Chartres. This was very convenient for us as we didn’t have far to go with our cases. While our hotel was 3 star, it was attached to a four star hotel. Room was clean, spacious, well decorated, with en-suite. En-suite was also clean and well laid out with nice big bath towels. Staff were very friendly and helpful. While breakfast was not included, you could avail of hotel continental breakfast for just under €10.
Cons: There is no lift, but help was offered to bring bags up stairs. All noise on the street could be heard in the room at night.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location
8.0 Excellent

Cons: Roadworks outside ++. 3 flights of stairs.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location with private parking for a very reasonable fee.
Cons: Roman shades were not working properly and the light from the street and train station was bright. The housekeeper (gentleman) opened the door to our room , without knocking, and stepped in while while I was undressed,. He told us to lock our door with the key and left.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean & comfortable room, very central, excellent hotel, staff very helpful and friendly
Cons: Nothing to report

Pros: Great location an easy walk from the train station
Cons: Hotel is under going renovation and there was construction noise into early evening
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view of The cathedral, the amount of space, and Maxime the receptionist help. The breakfast was also good. The closeness to the cathedral and all the sites.
Cons: The smell of the fresh paint and work in the room. The construction covering in many areas.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Central location is good.
Cons: Coffee cups in room chipped and dirty. Very very noisy. Sleep disturbed at 12.30 pm, 3.35 am and 5.20am. Not sure if staff or other customers. Loud enough that hotel should have investigated/ resolved the matter. Lighting on main staircase is so poor that it is dangerous. Lady receptionist on check out on 26 September needs to attend a customer service course. No eye contact or even a smile. Obviously not happy in her job. Will not be using again despite convenient location.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The shower; the towels; the daily newspapers; the double-glass windows (no traffic noise); the amenities (tea kettle, cups, glasses, toiletries.
Cons: It is a long walk to the nearest Metro station, and it is longish Metro ride to most museums.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location and parking on site. Fabulous view of cathedral.
Cons: Room far too hot. No tea/coffee facilities in room (before refurbishment these were available).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was nice. I liked the freshly baked croissants and bonne maman jams. The starrs were very kind too. The location was perfect too.
Cons: It's a quite old hotel but it was clean enough. So it was okay.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: It is both very close to the train station and the Cathedral which I really appreciated as I was moving heavy luggage. The staff was helpful with directions and I had to cancel one night early in order to make an early flight in Paris and they helped me with that and accommodated me. My room was also quiet.
