Beds very comfortable. Most of the front desk clerks were helpful and pleasant.
The bathroom floor was sticky and not clean. Water pressure was weak. Tried lobby coffee twice, both times coffee wasn't warm. And when I specifically asked for housekeeping to empty trash (cans were overflowing) - it did not happen. The coffee pot did not work the first morning. We had to wait a LONG time for a new pot to be brought. I am very understanding that operating during COVID is challenging but a better job good have Benn done.
A place to sleep after a long drive.... not very clean.
Next to a bad area not in the central historic district....would o spent more for a better place..... charged me twice for our room waiting for manager to call me back still.
Breakfast was not available due to covid-19; however standard coffee bar was provided
The location..... I love Charleston.
No breakfast offered after being charged for it, and staff wasn’t willing to refund me the cost of breakfast. Parking price was high, especially when they bring you the wrong car when trying to check out. Teenagers running up & down the hall at 9:30pm-10pm, and couldn’t sleep. This was a quick 1 night getaway for myself & husband, but wasn’t worth the $200 spent!! ☹️
Great location, right around the corner from King St with lots of restaurants and bars, and an easy walk to shopping. The immediate area seemed pretty safe, and I never felt worried even though I was there by myself. I really appreciated the availability of hand sanitizer at the front desk and elevators, and signs reminding guests to maintain physical distance. Everything felt safe and clean. Not the most luxurious hotel I've ever stayed in, but still pretty nice, and perfect for a short weekend vacation.
I paid extra for a balcony room, and had hoped it would have a bit of a view, unfortunately it just looked out onto the pool and across to another hotel. Limited options for breakfast, and the bar was only open on Fridays and Saturdays due to covid, but honestly there are so many other restaurants and bars within a few blocks that this wasn't really an issue.
